Track: Dead . The track was slushy early in the morning but winds and fine weather dried the surface out soon after the start of racing with the surface Dead and improving to Good later in the day.

Race 1	Green Island Barber Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	At the jump TIMELY REMINDER and ANOTHER PENNY were slow away. In the run to the turn MUST DESIRE was tightened between FIESTY FORTUNE and SMASH WHO and lost ground. Into the turn MUST DESIRE shifted inwards checking SMASH WHO with the trailing ANOTHER PENNY also inconvenienced. On the turn SMASH WHO ran wide dictating ANOTHER PENNY wide.
Race 2	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C1 - 310	From the jump SARAH'S DOMAIN shifted ground outwards tightening AIR EXPRESS and MONACO DENVER shifted ground outwards checking BIZARRO. In the run to the turn MONACO DENVER continued to shift ground outwards dictating SARAH'S DOMAIN and WINNE WILLOW wide on the track. Following the race a veterinarian examination of BIZARRO showed the dog to have broken a nail on her left front leg with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 3	Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C0 - 545	GOLDSTAR COCO and PUKEKO BOLT were slow to jump. In the run to the first turn KNOW LUCK was checked when GENERAL ACTION shifted ground outwards and the trailing GOLDSTAR PO was also checked. Shortly after GOLDSTAR PO clipped the heels of KNOW LUCK and fell losing all chance. At the end of the back straight GENERAL ACTION struck the hind quarters of MYSTIC ACTION who briefly stumbled and lost ground. Both GOLDSTAR PRO and MYSTIC ACTION were referred to the veterinarian for assessment with no injuries detected.
Race 4	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1 - 545	THRILLING HUNT was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. In the run to the first turn CAWBOURNE KENNY was tightened between SUBTERFUGE and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR with the trailing WAIRIO DEE JAY severely checked. On the first turn CAWBOURNE KENNY ran wide. Into the back straight THRILLING HUNT shifted ground inwards checking GOLDSTAR JUNIOR.
Race 5	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C1 - 310	From the jump LEMAQUIS WILLOW ran inwards tightening MITCHELL DEAN. In the run to the turn NO BRO ran inwards checking BIG BEN and ANOTHER LIZ with the trailing LEMAQUIS WILLOW also inconvenienced. LEMAQUIS WILLOW was forced to shift ground outwards dictating MITCHELL DEAN wide.
Race 6	Blasting and Coating Services Sprint - C2 - 310	TOKEN RAY bounded at the start and lost several lengths. In the run to the turn FANCY KIWI ran outwards checking GOLDSTAR MARIO. Into the turn NEDDY SEAGOON checked outwards off the heels of UMAGA RAMA checking WRINKLES and LOTS OF BEERSIES. On the turn FANCY KIWI continued to run outwards dictating GOLDSTAR MARIO. Into the home straight LOTS OF BEERSIE ran outwards colliding with GOLDSTAR MARIO with both these dogs losing ground.
Race 7	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C3 - 310	From the jump SHADOW APACHE ran sharply inwards checking HOMEBUSH ERROL and CHAIMBO. Shortly afterwards ANOTHER FORTUNE shifted ground outwards making heavy contact with SHADOW APACHE who lost momentum. Into the turn HOMEBUSH ERROL shifted downwards tightening HOMEBUSH RILEY who struck the running rail and lost all chance. HOMEBUSH ERROL was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 8	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C2/3 - 545	OPAWA DIESEL jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. into the first turn DREAM ACADEMY checked outwards off the heels of WILLIS who in turn clipped the rear of STICH UP when shifting ground outwards. Into the home straight OPAWA DIESEL ran inwards tightening GOLD VIPA and LAGOON BELLE.
Race 9	Forbury Sports Bar Stakes - C4 - 545	KNOW ATTEMPT was slow to jump. Into the first turn THRILLING MARTY checked outwards off the heels of KNOW MAYHEM, and then in the back straight THRILLING MARTY ran wide dictating KNOW ATTEMP wider on the track. At the end of the back straight OPAWA ROCKY ran inwards tightening CAWBOURNE WITCH who lost ground and checked the trailing KNOW ATTEMPT.
Race 10	Dunedin Cup Final - C5f - 545	Race start time was delayed 2 minutes at the request of Raceday Control. From the jump TRUST ISSUES ran inwards checking BOTANY KEVIN and the trailing ELEPHANT GUNN. Into the first turn KNOW MENTION was tightened between TRUST ISSUES and ROBBIE. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the winner HOMEBUSH CHOPPER trainer J.McInerney advised that the greyhound had a very good record on the track and was an honest performer who was at his best when able to get to the front early which he did today.
Race 11	Speedprint Shop Dash - C5 - 310	At the jump BUMP shifted ground inwards tightening SOUMILLON who lost ground. In the run to the turn WHEELCHAIR NORM ran inwards severely checking HOMEBUSH ROCKY and WUNZEE who brushed the running rail. into the home straight BUMP ran outwards sharply and collided with SOUMILLON who lost momentum.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 12th May - C4 - 310	CAWBOURNE BUTTSY and ECKLES were slow to jump. In the run to the turn SANDI CLAWS and SPRINKLES bumped on several occasions losing momentum.
