Track: Good The track was presented in good order and with all equipment operating well, the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: KASIM which raced at Wanganui on Friday 17th April and was stood down due to an injury, was presented today with the Trainer requesting a Vet clearance. However, the Vet confirmed that KASIM was still carrying an injury and the stand down was not rescinded.

Race 1	Turakina Petshop C0 - C0 - 375	DARK GARNAH was slow to begin losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. WHIP UPPA STORM shifted in abruptly from the start and hampered BRILLIANT ASHLEE for a short distance. WHIP UPPA STORM then shifted in going into the bend and made firm contact with the rail and lost ground. He was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have shoulder bruising.
Race 2	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	FORTIS MEMORIES and CABOUL jostled together going into the bend and shifted out forcing BUNDORAN LAD and TO THE BANK to run wide covering extra ground. FORTIS MEMORIES also shifted out and raced wide on the bend and into the home straight. CABOUL went off stride in the incident and drifted back to eventually finish several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have tricep and gastronemius injuries.
Race 3	Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 375	SECONDS GOOD was slow to begin losing three lengths and she then shifted out to race very wide covering extra ground and finished in last place. FLIRT WITH ME and ALLEGRO BLAST jostled together from the start and FLIRT WITH ME suffered the most in the incident and she settled well back.
Race 4	Affordable Pet Accessories C3 - C3 - 375	DOLL PARTS shifted in soon after the start and checked HERE WITHOUT YOU which lost two lengths. A short distance further on, BOSTON STRIKE shifted out causing a check to DOLL PARTS which lost ground, went back to the rear and she never recovered and finished last.
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	PUKEWHAI MAGIC began awkwardly losing two lengths. APOLLO galloped on the back of HOMEBUSH PIPPI going into the bend and they both lost ground. PUKEWHAI MAGIC shifted out abruptly approaching the home straight and caused checks to HOMEBUSH PIPPI, KIRIBATI GIRL and WORBOYS which were all forced very wide on the track and they stayed back to finiish in the last three places. APOLLO was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have a pectoral muscle injury.
Race 6	Paul Claridge Electrical C4 - C4 - 375	ENHANCER and LONESOME NITRO bumped together going to the first corner and LONESOME NITRO lost ground. A short distance further on, LONESOME NITRO checked off the back of ENHANCER losing three lengths and he stayed at the rear for the remainder of the race.
Race 7	Brooks Timing C4 - C4 - 375	NOVACORUM Was slow to begin losing two lengths. ROCK ON SPRITE and MANU RAMA jostled together soon after the start and MANU RAMA lost a length. SERENA ROSE was tightened between SWEET AS BRO and CAWBOURNE STEVE on the bend and went back onto ROCK ON SPRITE. They jostled together for some distance on the bend and into the home straight losing several lengths and all chance.
Race 8	Personal Protective Services Ltd C2 - C2 - 375	All clear.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company Ltd C5 - C5 - 375	INDIVIDUAL LILY began awkwardly losing three lengths and he never recovered and stayed back throughout the race. BIG JAMESY checked over the heels of WEEPU going into the bend and lost momentum for a short distance.
Race 10	Warehouse Stationery C1 - C1 - 457	MAGIC WHITELOCK was slow to begin and then shifted in across the heels of THRILLING TOBY, settled at the rear and stayed there throughout the race. The favourite RITZA ROSE led in the early and middle stages but appeared to tire in the home straight and drifted to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 11	Hoult Contractors Ltd C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	SPEED LEGEND, TIFINO and CAWBOURNE CROUCH began awkwardly and settled back. CAWBOURNE CROUCH recovered the best of the three and made up ground well to win the race. ANGVELLA was tightened between runners and checked losing two lengths going into the bend and he never recovered and finished in 7th place.
Race 12	Creative Catering, Awapuni C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	HOMEBUSH GINGER and LAGOON KOOTCHY bumped together going into the bend and lost ground. HOMEBUSH GINGER never recovered and stayed back to finish in last place while LAGOON KOOTCHY made up ground for 4th placing.
