Judicial report: (1.) Trainer J Lane admitted a breach of Rule 87.1.f.i in that he used offensive language towards the Stewards at the Otago GRC meeting on 3 March 2015. After considering submissions on penalty Mr Lane was fined $300 by the JCA. (2.) MISS SOFTEE completed a satisfactory trial. (3.) Trainer A Joyce was issued with a Minor Infringement notice and fined $100.00 pursuant to Rule 69.11 after HAT TRICK CHAOS (Race 3) was presented 1.6 kilograms above its last raceday start on 24 March 2015. (4.) Co-trainers R Wales and J Lane were issued with a Minor Infringement notice and fined $50 pursuant to Rule 68.9 in that they failed to produce the papers for OPAWA GOODIE (Race 3). (5.) Co-trainers S & B Evans admitted a breach of Rule 87.1.o in that they were negligent in failing to present BIZARRO to compete in Race 2 resulting in BIZARRO being declared a late scratching. This matter was adjourned sine die. (6.) PHAT PANTS was stood down for 3 months (2nd offence) and until the completion of one satisfactory trial after failing to pursue the lure in Race 8. (7.) BOLTIN ARCHIE was stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial after an unsatisfactory performance in Race 11.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	MAYBE WHAT (3), DARCY BRASCO (2) and WOOLY WHATSIT (1) were slow to begin. Racing into the first bend BIG JOHN CANON (6) shifted down the track checking SUMMER LOVE (5) and OHOKA STRIKA (4) which both lost ground, the trailing MAYBE WHAT and DARCY BRASCO were also hampered. MAYBE WHAT and OHOKA STRIKA collided rounding the bend with MAYBE WHAT being severely checked. MAYBE WHAT was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C1 - 295	BIZARRO (4) was a late scratching at 10.59am. HAYLEY JAMES (2) and MAY MAY LAST (7) were slow to begin after jumping awkwardly. GRACY RACER (5) and BLUEY RUFFERO (3) bumped at the start. HAYLEY JAMES checked off the heels of BLUEY RUFFERO in the early stages and lost momentum. CAWBOURNE SHADOW (1) and BLUEY RUFFERO came together approaching the first bend. VERBATIM (6) was placed in restricted room racing into the first bend when MAY MAY LAST and LIL DANNY RASCAL (8) shifted down the track.
Race 3	Bill's Bar & Bistro Dash - C1 - 295	CANDYBOY (6) was slow to begin. VINCENT GALLO (3) and CAWBOURNE PIRATE (4) came together in the early stages. HAT TRICK CHAOS (8) and CANDYBOY collided racing into the first bend. CAWBOURNE PIRATE was tightened rounding the bend when positioned between JET TO MARS (10) and VINCENT GALLO. CANDYBOY shifted outwards after checking off the heels of JET TO MARS early in the run home. CAWBOURNE PIRATE was awkwardly placed on the heels of VINCENT GALLO in the run home. ILABB (2) was examined by the vet and cleared of injury after falling at the lure.
Race 4	DogZone Stakes - C1 - 520	FRESCO STAR (5) was slow in the early stages before shifting down the track. LEKTRA SPIDER (6) and STAR APACHE (7) bumped shortly after the start. Racing into the first bend FRESCO STAR checked off the heels of MR. JOHNNY (2). LONG STOCKINGS (1) checked off the heels of LAGOON VICTORY (4) rounding the first bend before shifting outwards and bumping with HYPERPARADISE (3). STAR APACHE checked off the heels of LONG STOCKINGS entering the back straight and shifted outwards resulting in MISS VALLEY INN (8) being hampered. LEKTRA SPIDER and LAGOON VICTORY came together racing into the back straight with LEKTRA SPIDER losing momentum. LEKTRA SPIDER and LAGOON VICTORY continued to jostled for some distance along the back straight. LAGOON VICTORY and FRESCO STAR bumped on the final bend with the trailing MISS VALLEY INN and STAR APACHE being held up for clear racing room. STAR APACHE checked off the heels of MISS VALLEY INN shortly after.
Race 5	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295	HAMPDEN ON TAP (5) began awkwardly. SMOKING MARLEY (7) and CAWBOURNE CLOCK (6) bumped at the start. BITA BANTA (3) and HAMPDEN ON TAP also came together at the start. MY FOOLISH HEART (8) and CAWBOURNE CLOCK came together in the early stages. Shortly after MY FOOLISH HEART and SPIDER GIRL bumped resulting in MY FOOLISH HEART dropping to the rear. CAWBOURNE CLOCK checked off the heels of SALLY WEST (1) rounding the bend and lost ground. BITA BANTA and SALLY WEST collided rounding the bend with the trailing CAWBOURNE CLOCK also being hampered. MY FOOLISH HEART was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C1 - 295	FAIR CRUZIN (2) and EL SID (3) were slow in the early stages after colliding at the start. Racing into the first bend RICK'S TREASURE (5) and SLINGO (1) collided with the trailing EL SID, NOT SO CUTE (6) and FAIR CRUZIN all being checked.
Race 7	Yaldhurst Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295	ROCKWOOD ARCHIE (4) and CAWBOURNE ARNEY (7) were slow to begin. ROCKWOOD ARCHIE checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE ARNEY in the early stages. HOORAY FOR HAZEL (1) was tightened racing along the back straight by HOMEBUSH FINE (2) which shifted down the track. Approaching the first bend HOORAY FOR HAZEL, KIWIANA (5) and OPAWA ROMEO (6) came together. Racing into the first bend KIWIANA was turned outwards by OPAWA ROMEO resulting in KIWIANA, OPAWA ROMEO and the trailing CAWBOURNE ARNEY all forced to the outside of the track. CAWBOURNE ARNEY was examined by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Dash - C1 - 295	PEYTON SAWYER (7) and GOLDSTAR MAGIC (6) came together at the start. WRINKLES (2), EYES ON LULU (3) and ADJUDICATOR (4) also bumped in the early stages. Approaching the first bend ADJUDICATOR checked off the heels of TOKEN MUSCLES (5). WRINKLES and EYES ON LULU bumped approaching the first bend. Racing into the first bend TERRA ALERT was dragged down by TOKEN MUSCLES resulting in both dogs losing ground with the trailing WRINKLES, EYES ON LULU and GOLDSTAR MAGIC all being checked. Rounding the bend PHAT PANTS (1) which was clear in the lead eased resulting in the trailing ADJUDICATOR being hampered. PHAT PANTS checked off the heels of PEYTON SAWYER in the home straight. PHAT PANTS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was cleared of injury. TERRA ALERT was also examined by the vet and cleared of injury. Stewards charged PHAT PANTS with a breach of Rule 79.1.b in that the bitch failed to pursue the lure throughout the race. PHAT PANTS was stood down for 3 months (2nd offence.) and until the completion of one satisfactory trial.
Race 9	C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295	SHOWROOM (6) was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 2.22pm. SHAKAYLA ROSE (1), EYE ADAM (4) and MR. NOVEMBER (8) were slow to begin. BUTTERFLY TERRA (2) and KNOW CONTEST (5) collided in the early stages. SHAKAYLA ROSE was also checked in the early stages by EYE ADAM which shifted down the track. Racing into the first bend BUTTERFLY TERRA made contact with the running rail and lost ground resulting in the trailing SHAKAYLA ROSE being checked. BUTTERFLY TERRA was examined by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 10	The Turf Bar Stakes - C1 - 520	ZIPPING JACOB (6) and GOLDSTAR BOMBER (7) came together at the start. EL GRAND SHADOW (5) and KIRKHAM JACK (3) bumped shortly after. UGO FLASH (1), PROTONIC PEDRO (2) and JEWEL APACHE (4) collided in the early stages with PROTONIC PEDRO losing momentum. ZIPPING JACOB (6) and GOLDSTAR BOMBER along with EL GRAND SHADOW and PROTONIC PEDRO bumped approaching the winning post on the first occasion. PROTONIC PEDRO was tightened by EL GRAND SHADOW racing into the first bend and made contact with KIRKHAM JACK resulting in PROTONIC PEDRO losing ground.
Race 11	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C1 - 295	OHOKA TOO SOON (8) was slow to begin. EXCUSE PLEASE (3) was slow in the early stages. WONKEY DONKEY (2) and ZULU BRO (9) came together shortly after the start. ZULU BRO (9) and PAGANI (5) bumped rounding the bend. WONKEY DONKEY checked off the heels of ZULU BRO shortly after. Early in the run home BOLTIN ARCHIE (6) came together with HOMEBUSH NARK (1). BOLTIN ARCHIE proceeded to shift outwards throughout the run home forcing HOMEBUSH NARK wider on the track. A post race veterinary examination of BOLTIN ARCHIE revealed no abnormalities. Stewards reviewed the replays with co-trainer J Jopson regarding concerns with BOLTIN ARCHIE's conduct upon entering the home straight. After considering submissions from Ms Jopson along with Stewards own observations it was deemed that the performance of BOLTIN ARCHIE was unsatisfactory. Accordingly BOLTIN ARCHIE must complete one satisfactory trial prior to racing next. When questioned regarding the improved performance of ZULU BRO, trainer J Tanner explained that she had only recently taken over the training of the dog and in that time she felt the dog had responded well to the change of environment, that combined with a change in training regime and a freshen up since its last race had also been other factors in the improved performance.
Race 12	Vitamol Sprint - C1 - 295	GO TOMMO (4) and TOO MUCH REBEL (5) were slow to begin. FERAL HELEN (2) and KENNY'S COMET (7) bumped in the early stages. GO TOMMO and TOO MUCH REBEL checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE BEAU racing into the first bend. GO TOMMO raced wide on the bend forcing TOO MUCH REBEL over extra ground.
