Track: Good A number of greyhounds returned with minor pad injuries following the running of race 11, with Stewards consulting with Club Officials with respect to the starting pads in an attempt to rectify the issue for future 645 metre events.
Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer J T Mc Inerney was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 pursuant to rule 69.11 after HOMEBUSH NAKI (race 6) was presented 1.7 kilograms below its last raceday start on the 16th of March 2015.
BIGTIME MOOLA (race 3) was declared a late scratching at 12:34pm on Veterinary advice.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305 PEAKY BLINDER and MAGIC DANDY were both slow to begin. HOMEBUSH INQUIRY shifted inwards approaching the bend checking GOODTIME MONI which came back onto TANK'S ROB, with both runners losing several lengths. PEAKY BLINDER shifted outwards abruptly off the heels of DENALI rounding the bend, severely hampering and unbalancing MAGIC DANDY and BUNDORAN LAD, with both runners losing considerable ground.
Race 2 HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305 HOMEBUSH ROCCO was slow to begin. TAKEAWAY shifted in over the early stages contacting the hindquarters of SKINNY ANKLES which was unbalanced momentarily. TAKEAWAY then shifted inwards abruptly off the heels of SKINNY ANKLES and made contact with the running line, losing ground. TAKEAWAY was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment where minor grazing was detected with no stand-down deemed necessary.
Race 3 WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C0 - C0 - 520 BIGTIME MOOLA was declared a late scratching at 12:34pm after the greyhound was found to be lame in the right hind leg upon exiting the kennel block. FOX IN BOX shifted outwards entering the first bend forcing BIGTIME TRICKS into the line of BIGTIME PULSE and BIGTIME REDFOO which were unbalanced for several strides.
Race 4 J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305 HOMEBUSH LUCIFER was slow to begin (3L). HOMEBUSH PIPPI shifted inwards off the heels of ALL ABOUT JAZZ in the initial stages and bumped with GUMMY GUMPSTA which unbalanced momentarily. ALL ABOUT JAZZ shifted inwards entering the bend resulting in DARK FAERYTALES becoming awkwardly placed on that runners heels, having to check. HOMEBUSH PIPPI had to shift outwards abruptly to avoid the heels of DARK FAERYTALES, forcing OPPORTUNIST wider on the track. GUMMY GUMPSTA improved up onto the heels of ALL ABOUT JAZZ rounding the bend, with GUMMY GUMPSTA then running wide and jostling with LYNNY SOUTHCOME for a distance in the early stages of the straight.
Race 5 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305 TAI BAXTER and OPAWA JEN were both slow into stride. STILL DON'T KNOW and WORBOYS bumped on several occasions approaching the bend, with STILL DON'T KNOW being crowded shortly after when between BUZZY AS and WORBOYS which shifted outwards off the running line. WHITE LEGS lost momentum rounding the bend when awkwardly placed near the heels of STILL DON'T KNOW. STILL DON'T KNOW was then obliged to race wide for the remainder. CALA RAPITA was crowded for room rounding the bend when racing between BUZZY AS and TAI BAXTER.
Race 6 THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305 BIG WONDER, KISS OF DEATH and RUA RAMA were all slow to begin. TASHA RAMA which finished 4th at the line was inclined to race off the running line throughout, covering extra ground.
Race 7 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 520 ALLEGRO BLAST shifted inwards abruptly from the boxes making heavy contact with CHLOE'S PRODIGY and SUE SEWS SOCKS. CHLOE'S PRODIGY shifted inwards entering the first bend forcing BOTANY SEL onto the running line. BOTANY SEL then shifted outwards abruptly colliding with CHLOE'S PRODIGY which was dragged down momentarily. Inconvenienced in the incident was SARAH CAMPBELL which was bumped being turned outwards briefly. BOTANY SEL was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO BLAST commenced to tire when leading rounding the final bend, finishing 5th at the line. ALLEGRO BLAST was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 8 KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 305 HOMEBUSH TED was slow away (5L). CAWBOURNE KIWI shifted outwards entering the straight inconveniencing THRILLING ECHO which became awkwardly placed near that runners heels. THRILLING ECHO then failed to run home to any extent in the straight finishing 7th at the line. THRILLING ECHO was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 9 THE DOGZONE C1 - C1 - 520 SCOTT THE BEST raced in tight quarters entering the first bend and shortly after shift outwards abruptly off the heels of OPAWA CUDDLES resulting in HOMEBUSH SPOOK being hampered and forced wider on the track.
Race 10 WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305 ELBRUS from its inside box draw was slow to begin. MISS MOWHAWK shifted inwards entering the bend forcing CAWBOURNE TEASH into the line of SNOW DEMON which was dragged down from behind for a short distance. Hampered as a result were the trailing ALLEGRO BOOM and KIRIBATI GIRL which was unable to avoid the heels of ALLEGRO BOOM, falling to the track. KIRIBATI GIRL regained its footing and finished at the lure and was subsequently referred to the Veterinarian for assessment where generalised bruising was detected. Shortly after ALLEGRO BOOM shifted outwards off the heels of CAWBOURNE TEASH and contacted the heel of ELBRUS, losing ground.
Race 11 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1/2 D - C1/2d - 645 EXTREME TWIST stumbled leaving the boxes losing several lengths. ZIPPING JOE was crowded over the early stages when racing between LOCHINVAR ROSSI and BOSTON HEART which shifted outwards. AUCKLAND VENDING appeared indifferent in its action for the majority of the event being distanced at the finish. AUCKLAND VENDING was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and found to have a left-hind pad injury. ZIPPING JOE, EXTREME TWIST and LOCHINVAR MAUI were all referred to the Veterinarian for assessment at the request of connections. All greyhounds were found to have multiple skinned pads, with Stewards consulting with Club Officials with respect to the grooming of the 645 metre starting pads.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305 The start of this was delayed 2 minutes to 3.25pm at the request of TAB control. SHIEK 'EM UP shifted in entering the bend crowding CHINESE STAR which as a result came back onto HOMEBUSH LIMBO and PIXIE DUST which lost ground. HOMEBUSH LIMBO and COME ON MICKEY came together and bumped over the early stages of the straight.
Race 13 Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305 CABOUL was inclined to shift ground outwards over the early stages resulting in HOMEBUSH ENVY, ROCKY BAXTER and GEM'S CONQUEST being crowded for a distance, with ROCKY BAXTER losing ground and settling at the rear. Entering the bend, COSMIC CHOICE went off stride and shifted outwards abruptly forcing the trailing GEM'S CONQUEST to make its run wide to avoid that runners heels. COSMIC CHOICE appeared indifferent in its action for the remainder of the race and was subsequently referred to the Veterinarian for assessment where no injury was detected.
