| Race 2 | BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C1 - 390 | TOKEN JUMP shifted inwards at the jump and made contact with BOLTIN ARCHIE on her inside. PUKEKO WARRIOR and KIWIANA bumped in the run to the bend. On the bend PUKEKO WARRIOR checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH SLINKY then made heavy contact with KIWIANA which lost her momentum. SAILORS COLLAR ran wide on the bend and in the home straight. |
| Race 3 | GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 390 | OPAWA LUCKY was slow to jump. OPAWA LAZ and EYREWELL HAWKE come together with SHEZA GAMBLE which was racing between these two runners being checked in the run to the bend. BUSINESS BOSS was tightened on the bend when racing to the inside of MILLIE'S BOY. |
| Race 4 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C2 - 390 | From the jump OPAWA HOG shifted ground outwards from the No. 3 box and UNRELIABLE ANDY ran inwards from the No.8 bow with the dogs in between those runners being tightened. Shortly afterwards SMOKING MARLEY and OPAWA HOG collided heavily with JOYNER KERSEY and NOGGIN severely checked and losing ground. On the turn SMOKING MARLEY shifted inwards forcing OPAWA HOG to check outwards and run wide losing momentum. |
| Race 5 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457 | MALCY and OPAWA MAHER jumped awkwardly and TEPRITA RATA was slow to jump. In the run to the turn TEPIRITA RATA ran inwards checking MALCY. On the bend TEPIRITA MEGA when attempting to shift off the heels of TOKEN ACE struck the hind quarters of TOKEN ACE which lost his momentum. TEPIRITA MEGA shifted outwards abruptly as a result severely checking ANOTHER CRUISE with OPAWA MAHER briefly tightened. Following the race OPAWA MAHER was examined by the veterinarian and found to have a swollen left fore toe joint with a 21 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 6 | ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1 - 457 | From the jump ANOTHER LIZ ran sharply inwards and WAIRIO DEE JAY shifted ground outwards with MEMORY LAPSE and TOKEN RAY checked. In the run to the turn ANOTHER LIZ continued to run inwards checking TRACEY. At the end of the back straight PUKEKO THUNDER appeared to tie up and drifted out to finish a distant last. After the race PUKEKO THUNDER was found to be suffering swelling in the left hind leg with a 14 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 7 | Colin & Orma Gray Memorial Invercargill Cup - C5 - 457 | BOTANY KEVIN was tightened for room over the early stages. BOOSTIN raced in restricted room to the inside of HOMEBUSH KELSO on the bend before shifting ground outwards. FLYING SWAN and OPAWA COLIN raced wide in the home straight. |
| Race 8 | INVERCARGILL STAKES - C2 - 390 | GO TOMMO and WAIMAK DAVE bumped when vying for the lead over the early stages. When crossed over for the lead on the bend GO TOMMO shifted outwards making contact with BACKCHAT HARRY. HOMEBUSH RILEY raced wide just prior to the home straight. |
| Race 9 | SUPER SUNDAY STAKES - C1/2 - 457 | THRILLING SHRIMP jumped awkwardly and lost ground at the start as a result. BOTANY RITCHIE shifted inwards shortly after the start tightening PUKEKO PROWLER on its inside. THRILLING HUNT gradually shifted inwards in the run to the bend and checked HOMEBUSH CORAL on its inside. OPAWA DEISEL and THRILLING HUNT also made contact shortly afterwards.THRILLING SHRIMP was tightened on the bend when racing on the inside of BOTANY RICHIE with THRILLING SHRIMP losing its momentum. PUKEKO PROWLER shifted off the heels of THRILLING HUNT on the bend dictating BRUISER BALE wider on the track. |
| Race 10 | SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C3/4 - 457 | Into the turn SHINES BRIGHT checked outwards off the heels of WHAT I LIKE with the trailing SPEEDY SWEDE checked. As SHINES BRIGHT ran outwards she collided heavily with HIS LORDSHIP with both dogs falling. The trailing HELLO BLONDIE was severely checked and ran wide losing all chance. HIS LORDSHIP regained his feet to finish a distant last, while SHINES BRIGHT did not finish the race. After the race both HIS LORDSHIP and SHINES BRIGHT were examined by the veterinarian. SHINES BRIGHT was suffering from a swollen left carpus with a 21 day stand down recommended. HIS LORDSHIP suffered some slight swelling to a right hind hip with a 7 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 11 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3 - 390 | Into the turn HOMEBUSH BRUNO shifted ground inwards checking OPAWA OPAL. In the back straight and into the turn MATTY HOOKY ran wide. Following the race THRILLING JAMES was examined by the veterinarian and found to have a torn left hind nail with a 7 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C4 - 390 | There was a delay to the start of this race due to a Harness race at Methven being delayed. Some of the dogs had been boxed and were removed prior to being re-boxed. As the dogs approached the bend HOMEBUSH ERROL shifted inwards with all runners on the inside being crowded namely CHAIMBO, CAWBOURNE DANIAL, IRISH BLUE, RAMBUNCTIOUS and OPAWA IDOL. On the bend IRISH BLUE shifted outwards and checked CHAIMBO and HOMEBUSH ERROL on his outer. |
