Judicial report: Stir ups were provided by the club for all but one race. With a 15 minute gap between the start of Race 10 and the start of Race 11, there was a radio communications fault and the Parade Official did not receive the call to remove the greyhounds from the kennel block for stir ups. With about 5 minutes to get to the start handlers were advised there would be no stir ups and the Parade Official carried out his obligation under Rule 71.8 to remove greyhounds from the parade area to ensure they were at the starting point prior to the start time. There was some objection to not having stir ups and Stewards confirmed to the Parade Official that any failure to obey an order should be reported in accordance with Rule 71.9 and would be actioned accordingly. In this situation no further action was deemed necessary as the order was complied with and the race started some 1 minute 40s later than advertised. Subsequent to this Stewards have initiated steps with the club to ensure stir ups are provided as has been done at the last three meetings, and a protocol is discussed with the NZGRA and club and is in place to deal with the very odd occasion this was not possible due to external factors.

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	From the jump STENSON shifted ground outwards from the No. 2 box dictating SACAJAWEA into the path of CAWBOURNE SHADOW with KIRKHAM JACK also checked. Shortly after the jump KYLA ROSE ran inwards and bumped with STENSON who became briefly unbalanced and lost momentum. In the run to the turn CAWBOURNE SHADOW ran inwards tightening SACAJAWEA.
Race 2	HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN MCLEOD - C1 - 390	EL SID and ALBIE MCLEOD made contact at the jump. MOJO BURST and CAWBOURNE ARNEY also contacted one another at the start. In the run to the bend ALBIE MCLEOD shifted inwards contacting the hind quarters of WRINKLES who was put off balance and lost his momentum. ALBIE MCLEOD also lost momentum in this incident.
Race 3	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C0 - 457	GET READY FREDDY and KIRKHAM HARVEY were slow to begin. At the point of the bend ANOTHER CRUISE was tightened for room and checked off the back of OPAWA TOP. KIRKHAM HARVEY raced wide on the bend. TEPIRITA RATA was held up on the bend when becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of OPAWA TOP.
Race 4	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	CAWBOURNE ROWAN was tightened over the early stages when racing between KINGMAN who was shifting ground inwards and VERBATIM. On the bend ROCKWOOD ARCHIE raced wide after HOMEBUSH FLYTE improved on his inside. VERBATIM and CAWBOURNE ROWAN bumped just prior to the home straight and in the early stages of the run to the judge.
Race 5	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 457	TOKEN RAY began awkwardly and was slow to begin. WILLIS shifted outwards off the heels of GOSSIP QUEEN in the run to the bend with PROTONIC PEDRO being checked. WILLIS shifted outwards on the bend forcing HOMEBUSH HANSOME and LAGOON VICTORY wider on the track. HOMEBUSH HANSOME and LAGOON VICTORY then bumped on several occasions on the bend.
Race 6	BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C2 - 390	From the jump JOYNER KERSEY ran inwards from the No.4 box tightening dogs on her inside. In the run to the turn FANCY KIWI shifted ground inwards checking BACKCHAT HARRY. Into the turn RED HOT FURY ran outwards checking JOYNER KERSEE, and shortly afterwards FANCY KIWI shifted outwards abruptly checking RED HOT FURY and SMOKING MARLEY with both these dogs running wide on the track.
Race 7	Racing Series Advanced Final - NZRSf - 457	CAN'T CATCH TIM was slow to jump. From the jump BOTANY BLAKE ran inwards from the No. 7 box tightening ROBBIE and checking OPAWA NO EAR. At the jump BOTANY KEVIN shifted ground outwards checking BOOSTIN. On the turn OPAWA ROSIE shifted outwards checking CAN'T CATCH TIM who was clipped from behind by OPAWA NO EAR and lost ground. Into the straight BOTANY BLAKE ran inwards checking CAN'T CATCH TIM.
Race 8	ST PATRICKS DAY DASH - C2 - 457	EXPECT DELAY shifted outwards at the jump brushing THRILLING SHRIMP. Shortly after MR JOHNNY, OPAWA DIESEL and THRILLING HUNT all come together over the early stages. CAWBOURNE MIAMI was struck on the hind quarters by BRUISER BALE on the point of the bend. As a result MR JOHNNY was dictated wider on the track on the bend.
Race 9	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C3/4 - 457	GEE WHIZ JEANIE, WHAT I LIKE, SPEEDY SWEDE and OPAWA CASPER all made contact shortly after the start resulting in SPEEDY SWEDE losing ground. On the bend KAREN'S MAGIC shifted outwards dictating WHAT I LIKE and HIS LORDSHIP wider on the track.
Race 10	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C3 - 390	At the jump CHAIMBO shifted downwards checking BOUND TO ERUPT. Into the turn HOMEBUSH BRUNO shifted ground inwards tightening LOTS OF BEERSIES, CHAIMBO and THRILLING JAMES, with the trailing BOUND TO ERUPT also checked.
Race 11	SHAMROCK SPRINT - C4 - 390	INCREASING shifted inwards at the start forcing RAMBUNCTIOUS inwards onto OPAWA IDOL and RUN FOR SOPHIE which resulted in RUN FOR SOPHIE losing ground. RUN FOR SOPHIE received a further check shortly afterwards when RAMBUNCTIOUS continued to shift inwards dictating OPAWA IDOL onto RUN FOR SOPHIE. On the turn RUN FOR SOPHIE ran wide.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	BARNICLE BULLET shifted inwards at the start dictating CAWBOURNE JELLY onto COLLECTING MONEY resulting in CAWBOURNE JELLY being checked and losing his position. NO LEAF CLOVER, HOMEBUSH KELSO and CAWBOURNE PHILLIP all bumped in the run to the turn. BARNICLE BULLET was tightened on the turn when crossed over by HOMEBUSH KELSO. Then OPAWA COLIN and CAWBOURNE BUTTSY raced wide on the bend.
