Racing toward the first turn SOMEBODY TIFI (1) made brief contact with the hindquarters of ARIZONA SKY (2) when shifting out off this runners heels. SOMEBODY TIFI and WINSOME GEORGE collided on the first turn with SOMEBODY TIFI losing ground. |
| Race 2 | MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C0 - 318 | BAD BUSINESS presented 1.5kg down in weight from its previous start on 26 Feb 2015 with Trainer R O'Regan advising this was an intentional decrease. BAD BUSINESS (4) and BOTANY HOLLY (8) were slow away. Entering the first turn WICKED TYCOON (7) shifted in tightening CHATEAU NEUF (1) who became badly unbalanced shifting out making solid contact with OUT OF TROUBLE (2) who was taken out hampering COOKIE MONSTER (5) with these three runners all badly unbalanced losing considerable ground. Also inconvenienced having to steady was LAHAR (6) who was trailing these runners. CHATEAU NEUF then attempted to angle inwards making solid contact with LAHAR both runners becoming unbalanced losing ground. CHATEAU NEUF then made solid contact with OUT OF TROUBLE with both runners badly unbalanced losing their chances. Also inconvenienced was LAHAR who had to shift in to avoid these runners. CHATEAU NEUF was referred to the vet following this event with no abnormality detected. Following this race the lure driver was reminded the lure must be kept within the required distances at all times throughout the race. |
| Race 3 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C1 - 318 | HOMEBUSH TITAN (6) and TRENDY LASS (7) were slow away. MAKING YOU PAW (1) and BEALE STREET (2) made brief contact racing down the back straight. MAKING YOU PAW shifted out off the heels of JACK MAGIC (3) entering the first turn then raced wide for a distance rounding the bend. BEALE STREET and COOL FOOT LUKE (4) made contact on the first bend. Entering the final straight HOMEBUSH TITAN shifted in making contact with COOL FOOT LUKE (4) who lost ground. |
| Race 4 | Sel's TAB Mangere Sprint Series Final - C2f - 318 | LOLA'S QUEST (4) became unbalanced leaving the boxes losing ground. Soon after the start ASTA (7) shifted in tightening OUR JACK ATTACK (6) onto CAWBOURNE KIWI (5) with these runners jostling for several strides and OUR JACK ATTACK losing ground. CAWBOURNE KIWI then shifted out slightly racing toward the first turn taking ASTA and OUR JACK ATTACK wider. |
| Race 5 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C3/4 - 318 | Soon after the start ROTOVEGAS JUNIOR (4) and HARVEY NICHOLS (3) were tightened when CALAMITY FREE (5) shifted in and PRAIRIE KACHINA (2) shifted out with these runners all hampered becoming unbalanced and shifting in hampering TONGARIRO (1). As a result TONGARIRO became badly unbalanced shifting out and further hampering HARVEY NICHOLS who had lost ground with these runners both badly unbalanced. Losing ground as a result of this interference were TONGARIRO, PRAIRIE KACHINA, HARVEY NICHOLS and ROTOVEGAS JUNIOR. Entering the final straight TONGARIRO shifted out making contact with HARVEY NICHOLS when racing at the rear of the field. |
| Race 6 | $10,000 Guaranteed Triple Trio Stakes - C1 - 527 | RADLEE REASON (4) and OPAWA PEARL (7) were last to leave the boxes. Entering the first turn DYLANS A VILLAN (1) attempted to shift out off the heels MONTANA (9) making contact with TANTO'S WHISPER (5), who was inconvenienced, and hampering BOSS WAVE (8) with these runners unbalanced shifting wider on the track. YOU'RE LUCKY (2) and ZALIA (6) collided entering the final straight. DYLLANS A VILLAN underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 7 | Trophies Plus Sprint - C3/4 - 318 | KISSEN RUN was a late scratching at 12.51pm on veterinary advice. Entering the first turn CHARLIE'S FUNDS (8) shifted in making contact with NGAURUHOE (6). At the same time HEZA CARLOS (9) angled in making contact with ARMISTICE DAY (2) who made solid contact with SACRED CAN YOU (1) who was turned sideways shifting out taking ARMISTACE DAY and HEZA CARLOS wider on the track with these runners losing ground. The lure driver was spoken to following this event in regards to the lure distance. |
| Race 8 | All Sew Embroidery Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | WHAT THAT DOES (5) was slow away. Soon after the start JELLY GEM (7) shifted in abruptly taking MRS. PUNTING (6) in onto PINEAPPLE SPLIT (4) with these two runners making contact. PINEAPPLE SPLIT then came together with JETSUN QUAKER (2) before checking off the heels of JELLY GEM. Also inconvenienced as a result was MY BEAUTY (3) who was tightened having to shift out before coming together and jostling with MRS. PUNTING for a distance. Entering the first turn PINEAPPLE SPLIT was tightened between LUCKY MAN (1) and ZIPPING WILL (8). Early in the first bend WHAT THAT DOES attempted to shift in making contact with the hindquarters of MY BEAUTY who was unbalanced shifting out with this contact then continuing for some distance rounding the first bend with these runners losing considerable ground. Rounding the final bend MRS. PUNTING shifted ground to obtain clear racing room. It was noted rounding the first turn the lure was closer then the required distance. After reviewing films the Stewards were satisfied no runner was materially affected by this variance. |
| Race 9 | Carol's TABS Sprint Series Final - C1f - 318 | When racing toward the first turn, in a compact field, FALSE ACCUSATION (10) and THRILLING SPELL (4) came together and jostled with FALSE ACCUSATION losing a length or so. Contributing was inward movement from MELMAN (7) who angled in further tightening these runners. FALSE ACCUSATION then contacted the hindquarters of THRILLING SPELL with THREE RIVERS (2) shifting out slightly getting on the heels of THRILLING SPELL dragging this runner down and falling also. FALSE ACCUSATION was unable to avoid the fallen runners going over the top of them becoming badly unbalanced and faltering. Also inconvenienced as a result was JUNIOR WHAT (9). THREE RIVERS quickly regained its footing and finished the race some distance from the field. THRILLING SPELL and FALSE ACCUSATION took no further part in the event. WILD FALCON (1) and MELMAN came together entering the final straight. THREE RIVERS and THRILLING SPELL were referred to the vet for assessment following this event with no abnormality detected. A Post race veterinary examination of FALSE ACCUSATION revealed an injury to the metacarpal bones on the left fore. |
| Race 10 | Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | UNCLE ROMILLY (5) was slow away. DON DRAPER (6) came together with CARAT'S PRINCE (4) soon after leaving the boxes and was then further inconvenienced when FORTIS FLIER (7) shifted in with DON DRAPER then having to shift out off this runners heels. Entering the first turn FORTIS FLIER made solid contact with GOOD RETURN (2). As a result THRILLING GEORGA (3), who was trailing these runners, shifted out slightly making contact with FANCY AMIGO (8). THRILLING GEORGA then shifted back in making contact with HARAJUKU BABY (1) who was unbalanced. Entering the back straight HARAJUKU BABY shifted out abruptly inconveniencing CARAT'S PRINCE, taking this runner wider on the track. |
| Race 11 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C5 - 318 | CALL ME RALPH (1) and COSMIC MACK (7) were last to leave the boxes. Soon after leaving the boxes FIREMAN'S LEGACY (9) shifted in making brief contact with the hindquarters of LITTLE RASCAL (2) before continuing to shift in making contact with CALL ME RALPH (1). Racing down the back straight MACJAM (5) and DON'T TALK (4) jostled for a distance with DON'T TALK then contacting the hindquarters of LITTLE RASCAL who became unbalanced with DON'T TALK then getting on this runners heels for several strides with these two runners then both becoming unbalanced losing ground as a result. LITTLE RASCAL was referred to the vet for assessment following this event which revealed no abnormality. |
