Race 1	Personal Protection Services Ltd C0 - C0 - 375	LAHAR and DARK GARNAH were the slowest pair to leave the boxes. GOODTIME MONI angled out wider in the early stages crowding LITTLE PROPHET and TO THE BANK outwards into the line of KEY EYE which was heavily bumped. TO THE BANK shifted inwards approaching the bend checking LITTLE PROPHET which lost ground, settling at the rear of the field. HOMEBUSH HAPPY contacted the heel of KEY EYE rounding the bend, resulting in KEY EYE becoming unbalanced for several strides.
Race 2	Grant Irvine Pharmacy C0 - C0 - 457	BUNDORAN LAD was tightened for room approaching the bend between MAGIC WHITELOCK and GOODTIME MIKE which shifted outwards. GOODTIME MIKE and MAGIC WHITELOCK came together and bumped on several occasions rounding the bend when both runners where attempting to shift ground. Shortly after BUNDORAN LAD and MAGIC WHITELOCK were crowded for room when racing between GOODTIME MIKE which shifted outwards and BIGTIME TRICKS which shifted inwards. MARY'S BAD BOY which trailed had to make its run wide entering the the straight to avoid the heels of MAGIC WHITELOCK. Entering the home straight, GOODTIME MIKE shifted out and bumped with MAGIC WHITELOCK which was unbalanced momentarily. Following the race connections of GOODTIME MIKE requested that the greyhound be examination by the Veterinarian, with a Gracilis tear detected.
Race 3	Turakina Pets C1 - C1 - 375	PUKEWHAI MAGIC and CABOUL were crowded rounding the bend between CAWBOURNE JOSH and HOMEBUSH NAKI which was attempting to obtain a position closer to the running line. PUKEWHAI MAGIC had to shift outwards across the heels of OPAWA TOKEN rounding the bend to obtain a clear run. HOMEBUSH NAKI shifted outwards near the winning post hampering PUKEWHAI MAGIC.
Race 4	Affordable Pet Accessories C1 - C1 - 457	PRECIOUSLY shifted in shortly after leaving the boxes tightening TORERO which lost ground. EXTREME TWIST angled in entering the bend making heavy contact with TE MAARI STYLE which was then forced to shift out and away from the heels of EXTREME TWIST. TE MAARI STYLE then ran wide hampering PRECIOUSLY which was forced over extra ground.
Race 5	Hoult Contractors Ltd. C1 - C1 - 375	BLACK MAGIC ROCK veered inwards sharply from the boxes hampering ACONAGUA and VINNY DOON which was heavily bumped. BLACK MAGIC ROCK continued to shift ground inwards again hampering ACONAGUA which lost several lengths. Following the race connections of ACONAGUA requested that the greyhound be examination by the Veterinarian, with a Lattisimus muscle injury detected.
Race 6	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	QUEEN COBRA and AYRA STARK were crowded for room entering the bend when racing in tight quarters between KING'S SELECTION and HOMEBUSH MISHA. QUEEN COBRA was the worst affected runner losing ground. AYRA STARK was tightened rounding the bend when KING'S SELECTION shifted outwards. KING'S SELECTION raced in restricted room rounding the bend and had to shift outwards across the heels of QUEEN COBRA to improve. AYRA STARK improved up onto the heels of QUEEN COBRA entering the straight, shifting outwards abruptly to obtain a clear run. KING'S SELECTION which raced to the outside of AYRA STARK was forced wider as a result. AYRA STARK was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and found to have a Quadricep muscle injury,
Race 7	Paul Claridge Electrical C2 - C2 - 375	PEACOCK PRINCESS angled inwards entering the bend checking the progress of YA LAUGHIN' which then shifted outwards and crowded CAWBOURNE TIP for several strides. Also affected was the trailing ZULU MERCEDES which had to shift outwards to avoid the heels of YA LAUGHIN' and CAWBOURNE TIP. Trainer B. Mitchell reported that YA LAUGHIN' was found to have a Hock injury upon returning to his kennel and would no longer be persevering with the Greyhound as a racing proposition.
Race 8	Brooks Timing C3 - C3 - 375	GRAND ALLEGRO shifted out entering the bend bumping with CAWBOURNE MIDGET which was unbalanced and lost ground. Also affected were the trailing SPRING MAJOR and HERE WITHOUT YOU which were briefly hampered. HERE WITHOUT YOU improved up onto the heels of SPRING MAJOR rounding the bend, resulting in SPRING MAJOR being dragged down momentarily with both runners losing ground. HERE WITHOUT YOU was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company Ltd. C2 - C2 - 457	PADDY BAXTER and OPAWA JAY were slow to begin. ARCANE RAMPAGE shifted in over the early stages and collided with GOLFING BUDDY which was unbalanced. PADDY BAXTER angled in entering the bend placing GOLFING BUDDY and BACKYARD BULLY in restricted room adjacent to the running line.
Race 10	Greyhounds As Pets C4 - C4 - 375	HOMEBUSH RAMONA shifted in leaving the boxes forcing FASTBACK KING into the line of BARRY'S WAY which was tightened. FASTBACK KING shifted in over the early stages hampering TONGARIRO for several strides.
Race 11	Creative Catering, Awapuni C5 - C5 - 375	CAWBOURNE MATTY angled inwards in the initial stages crowding ELLE PACKER onto ALLEGRO MASTER which became awkwardly placed on the heels of WHAT'S UP GEE. INDIVIDUAL LILY shifted in entering the bend placing CAWBOURNE MATTY and WHAT'S UP GEE in restricted room adjacent to the running line. ALLEGRO MASTER which trailed had to shift outwards to avoid the heels of WHAT'S UP GEE. INDIVIDUAL LILY ran wide entering the home straight forcing BIG BOY DENO over extra ground.
Race 12	Manawatu Harness Racing Club C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	RITZA DANNY was crowded for room along the back straight between CAWBOURNE BRICK and CAWBOURNE STEVE which shifted outwards. Shortly after GRADUATION angled inwards abruplty tightening MANYANA GROPER, CAWBOURNE BRICK, CAWBOURNE STEVE and CURIOUS LIFE. Also affected was the trailing RITZA DANNY which had to take evasive action to avoid the heels of MANYANA GROPER.
