Track: Good . The track had a "corrugated" surface which Stewards requested be smoothed out prior to the next race meeting to ensure a safe and even racing surface.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil.

Judicial report: The club implemented stir ups under Rule 71.11 for all trainers that wished to avail themselves of this.

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	From the jump ANOTHER LIZ shifted ground sharply inwards from the No. 5 box checking TAMASKA on her inner and tightening MIDNIGHT SPRITE. Shortly after ANOTHER LIZ continued to run downwards making heavy contact with CHARLIE NEXT BOY who lost ground. Into the turn TAMASKA pushed outwards checking ANOTHER LIZ who ran wide on the track.
Race 2	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390	From the jump OPAWA VENUS ran inwards tightening NICKSTA and SAILORS COLLAR on her inside. In the run to the turn SAILORS COLLAR pushed outwards checking NICKSTA.
Race 3	BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C1 - 390	BUSINESS BOSS shifted inwards shortly after the start checking VINCENT GALLO on its inside. Racing into the bend CAWBOURNE CRUZE shifted inwards onto MR NOVEMBER which heavily struck the running rail and blundered. MR NOVEMBER was then struck by the trailing VINCENT GALLO. MR November failed to complete the race and was subject to a post-race veterinary examination. The examination revealed MR NOVEMBER was suffering from some minor abrasions near the left eye with a 3 day stand down recommended. GOSSIP QUEEN and BOLTIN ARCHIE bumped on the bend.
Race 4	SOUTHLAND STAKES - C3/4 - 390	BUSINESS AFFAIR shifted inwards at the jump resulting in HOMEBUSH ERROL, UMAGA RAMA and RAMBUNCTIOUS all making contact. Racing into the bend NO MORE BEERSIES which had shifted ground outwards was galloped on from behind by HOMEBUSH ERROL resulting in NO MORE BEERSIES stopping quickly. Stewards requested a veterinary examination of NO MORE BEERSIES which revealed NO MORE BEERSIES was suffering from abrasions to the right hind Achilles tendon with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 5	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C1/2 - 390	JASPER HAKA and OPAWA HOG jostled over the early stages. In the run to the bend JASPER HAKA and OPAWA HOG made heavy contact on several occasions.
Race 6	HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN ANDERSON - C3 - 390	RED HOT FURY was slow to jump and was then tightened when YALDHURST EDWARD shifted ground inwards. On the turn RED HOT FURY ran wide.
Race 7	HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS BOYD - C3/4 - 390	HOMEBUSH ROCKY jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump WHITEY'S GONE ran inwards from the No. 5 box checking MARY MARLOW and HOMEBUSH ROCKY on his inner, with the trailing CHOKEHOLD and STARBURST TERRY also inconvenienced. Into the turn CHOKEHOLD brushed the running rail and lost ground.
Race 8	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C2/3 - 457	GOLD VIPA shifted inwards at the start making contact with BRUISER BALE which in turn bumped into BOTANY SEATON. CAN'T CATCH TIM and COVER TO COVER brushed over the early stages. Approaching the bend RUNAWAY TAXI shifted inwards resulting in COVER TO COVER being checked when dictated inwards onto BRUISER BALE. On the bend BOTANY RICHIE shifted off the heels of CAN'T CATCH TIM which had improved to the lead. As a result BOTANY RICHIE dictated BOTANY SEATON wider on the track.
Race 9	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1 - 457	FANCY KIWI and STAR APACHE bumped shortly after the jump and lost momentum. Into the turn STAR APACHE ran inwards tightening ARCHIE'S COMET.
Race 10	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 457	WAIRIO DEE JAY and GIRL MAGIC ran wide in the run to the bend. WAIRIO DEE JAY was momentarily held up on the bend losing its momentum. BOUND TO ERUPT ran wide on the bend entering the home straight. WAIRIO DEE JAY ran wide at the straight entrance dictating BITA BANTA wider on the track.
Race 11	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C4/5 - 457	JINJARANGO shifted inwards over the early stages bumping JINJA TURTLE on its inside. THRILLING MARTY ran wide into the home straight.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	ZIPPING JYE was slow to begin. IRISH BLUE raced wide into the home straight. TRICKY ZORRO was referred to the vet for assessment.
