In the run to the first turn HOMEBUSH HANSOME ran sharply inwards from the No. 7 box checking CALM SPIRIT and colliding heavily with HYPERPARADISE who lost momentum. Into the first turn PUKEKO THUNDER clipped the heels of HYPERPARADISE and lost ground. On the first turn CALM SPIRIT ran outwards and pushed KNOW CLOWN wide. In the back straight and home straight WAIRIO DEE JAY ran wide and lost ground. |

Into the first turn WILLIS shifted ground inwards and KNOW MENTION checked outwards with TEPIRITA MEGA and KNOW LUCK being tightened and losing ground. ZAHRA MOON ran wide on the first bend. |

Into the turn ANOTHER FORTUNE and ADJUDICATOR bumped and both dogs ran outwards losing ground. Into the home straight KNOW CHEERS shifted outwards checking CORPORATE IMAGE and ANOTHER FORTUNE. |

On the turn BOTANY RICHIE continued to shift ground inwards and tightened PUKEKO PROWLER, and both dogs then bumped further into the bend and lost momentum. In the back straight ROB'S MATE ran wide and dictated PUKEKO PROWLER wider. The day after the race MICKEY TEE appeared to have tied up and was in some distress, and was stood down for 14 days as a welfare measure, with trainer R Adcock advising that the dog had been unsuited to the distance of the race and would be restricted to sprint races in future. |

| Race 10 | Green Island Barber Sprint - C3 - 310 | RED HOT FURY was slow to jump. From the jump AIDEN BAXTER ran outwards from the No. 6 box and checked HANNA THE SPANNER. Into the turn ANOTHER COLT shifted ground inwards tightening DILLMANSTOWN and severely checking the trailing ANOTHER GROOM. On the turn RED HOT FURY ran outwards and dictated AIDEN BAXTER wide. AIDEN BAXTER was a very solid favourite and when spoken to regarding the greyhound's 5th placing handler K.O'Connor advised Stewards that she was not disappointed with the result as this was the dog's first start at Forbury, and all his previous racing in New Zealand had been at Addington. The race was a step up in class and she believed the greyhound would benefit from the race. |
| Race 11 | Otago Daily Times Sprint - C4 - 310 | Into the turn WUNZEE shifted ground downwards tightening KNOW FAVOURS, with the trailing SAN SEBASTIAN clipping the heels of WUNZEE and falling. As a result HOMEBUSH ERROL was severely checked along with KNOW FAVOURS and KNOW MAGIC who were forced wide on the track. SAN SEBASTIAN regained his feet to finish the race a distant last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |

Into the turn CAWBOURNE CRUZE shifted ground inwards with WINNE WILLOW holding her line on the inner with HAREEBA TIME tightened between those runners and the trailing NO BRO inconvenienced. |
