Racing on to the top bend STAND UP GIRL was held up on the inner when running on to and over the heels of PRECIOUSLY, a stride or so on PRECIOUSLY was hampered when tightened inwards as VINNY DOON made ground on her outer. |
| Race 3 | JP Print, Petone C5 - C5 - 375 | Soon after the start WHEELIE RASCAL raced across the face of INDIVIDUAL LILY on to the shoulder of SIR RICHIE, INDIVIDUAL LILY was checked back a length or so Racing in to the first bend WHAT'S UP GEE angled across forcing SIR RICHIE inwards on to SHINZIGZAG and BLUE AND CURLY checking this dog sideways wider out ALLEGRO MASTER improved angling inwards forcing WHEELIE RASCAL in on to SIR RICHIE and BLUE AND CURLY ,WHEELIE RASCAL went back and out wide ,INDIVIDUAL LILY was checked when she ran on to the back of ALLEGRO MASTER as this runner came out in to the racing line of this runner. |
| Race 4 | Personal Protection Services Ltd C2 - C2 - 375 | Racing to the first bend DOLL PARTS raced across towards the rail checking HAJIME and BANJO'S RETREAT these two runners lost ground back to the rear . WEE DIGGER from the 8 box raced wide throughout running n well in the home straight for 3rd placing at the line. |
| Race 5 | Creative Catering, Awapuni C1 - C1 - 457 | In the run to the first bend CAWBOURNE BIRD tightened in on to MISS VOTCHKA and TORERO who was checked back then angled outwards the centre of the track Racing in to the first bend ARCANE RAMPAGE crossed towards the lead checking and tightening THRILLING ORLA, COSMIC SCRAMBLE ,HOMEBUSH SPOOK CAWBOURNE BIRD and MISS VOTCHKA who made contact with the rail, WHERE'S SHIRAZ raced up on the outer of COSMIC SCRAMBLE who came out off heels making contact with his shoulder ,WHERE'S SHIRAZ became unbalanced for a stride or so bumping COSMIC SCRAMBLE who came outwards in to the racing line of WHERE'S SHIRAZ who was unable to avoid COSMIC SCRAMBLE WHERE'S SHIRAZ fell to the outer of the track. WHERE'S SRIRAZ was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have bruising over his pelvis MISS VOTCHKA was referred to the vet for assessment She was found to have left quadriceps muscle soreness |
| Race 6 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 375 | COLD TURKEY began very awkwardly from box 5 stumbling and almost falling ,he raced in the rear there after Racing n to the first bend APOLLO came across bumping in to VICARIOUSLY ,APOLLO ran on to the heels of ZAMMADIS LASS as this runner raced past ,ZAMMADIS LASS lost some momentum and a couple of lengths at this point. COLD TURKEY was referred to the vet as a precaution where no abnormalities were found. |
| Race 7 | Greyhounds As Pets C2 - C2 - 375 | SPACE CADET was last away racing several lengths in the rear and appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action racing on to the bend ,he raced out wide throughout until the latter stages where he caught on to the back of the field nearing the line. SPACE CADET was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found . The Stewards reviewed the replay with Trainer D McCauley with the concern of the run on to the top bend ,the dog did cover a fair of extra ground. D McCauley will advice the Stewards tomorrow if he finds any abnormalities ,the Stewards will be watching the dogs next performances closely in the near future. |
| Race 8 | Turakina Pets C3 - C3 - 375 | ALAMEIN DUKE began awkwardly for a stride, racing in to the first bend FEAR MARINA came across tightening ALAMEIN DUKE in on to CRYSTAL WAVE , UNO ORANGE raced past with angling inwards resulting in ALAMEIN DUKE catching her heels ,UNO ORANGE lost her footing in behind for a stride, FEAR MARINA ran in to the back of ALAMEIN DUKE , UNO ORANGE lost ground back towards the rear going out wide with ALAMEIN DUKE. |
| Race 9 | Outback Trading Company Ltd C4 - C4 - 375 | Racing to the first bend ALAMEIN KAT raced across tightening in on to OPAWA LEAN MEAT, ELLE PACKER ( fav ) ENHANCER and MANYANA GROPER who was squeezed back on the inner there was a fair bit of jostling and bumping between these runners for some distance. The two leading dogs in to the first bend FREEDOM FLYER on the inner and ZIPPING TAY came together ,ZIPPING TAY was unbalanced for a couple of strides losing momentum and ground back to midfield and was unable to improve there after. |
| Race 10 | Shakey Jakey @ Rocky Ridge C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 | LEGAL AID was last away racing several lengths in the rear throughout , he has raced over 650 metres his last three runs . LEGAL AID was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. |
| Race 11 | Steve The Auctioneer Davis C4 - C4 - 375 | From the jump SENORITA TINA box 8 raced across the face of the field checking BOSTON STRIKE and JUST A BOY who went back over the heels of BARRY'S WAY,SENORITA TINA kept on her run towards the rail checking MISS FOXY MINX and CURIOUS LIFE. Racing in to the bend BOSTON STRIKE came in on to BARRY'S WAY and MISS FOXY MINX tightening and hampering these runners for a couple of strides JUST A BOY was forced to check out across heels to be the widest runner on to the top bend. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | Soon after the start WEEPU, SPEED LEGEND and TRIDENT all came together SPEED LEGEND went back towards the rear ,he made ground steadily to the home turn where he was able to get down to the rail finishing fairly well to be a close up 5th placing at the line. |
