Track: Good The track was presented in good order but was a little on the soft side early in the meeting after recent rain. However, as the evening progressed, the track improved and good times were recorded throughout the night.

Judicial report: Trainer D.Poutama was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69 .11 when MIGHTY TWIST was presented 1.9 kilograms up in weight from its last start on 30.01.2015.

Race 1	HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT GILLING C1 - C1 - 305	ALL THE COCO and RIBA LORDA were both slow to begin. WHERE'S RICAN shifted out shortly after the start colliding with MIGHTY MAGIC which was unbalanced. GOODTIME HELEN was crowded entering the home straight and lost momentum.
Race 2	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 520	MEGA GIRL shifted in from the start and caused crowding to OPAWA DOSH, WALL AGE, COSMIC SCRAMBLE and COME ON MICKEY. COSMIC SCRAMBLE and WALL AGE suffered the most in the incident and settled back in the field. MEGA GIRL went to a clear lead in the early and middle stages but drifted in the later stages and finished in last place. MEGA GIRL was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. The Trainer indicated to the Stewards that he probably would not persevere with MEGA GIRL as a racing proposition and that retirement to GAP was a distinct possibility in the near future.
Race 3	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	MIGHTY TWIST checked off the heels of MISS JOLT going into the bend and she went back and out making contact with ANOTHER FANTASY and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 4	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C3 - C3 - 305	MANU RAMA lost his footing behind briefly when the start was made and he lost three lengths but recovered well to make up ground and finished in 3rd place. TONGARIRO was hampered and lost ground going to the first corner. TONGARIRO, MANU RAMA and CHOCDEE ALICE bumped together going into the bend and CHOCDEE ALICE suffered the most and she went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 5	THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 305	MISS ALLEGRO, CAWBOURNE PORSCHE and FEAR MARINA jostled together for some distance going to the first turn and they all lost ground back to the rear and never recovered. WEEPU checked over the heels of HANIFY ACE entering the home straight and ran very wide over extra ground.
Race 6	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	All clear.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	DOLLY PEG began awkwardly losing three lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 4th place. JINJA COLL was hampered soon after the start when avoiding the heels of ALLEGRO CHASER. JINJA COLL was then checked going into the bend and went back onto NGAURUHOE and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 8	THE DOGZONE C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	HOMEBUSH CRASH and WINFIELD AUTUMN were slow to begin losing three lengths. WINFIELD AUTUMN shifted in going to the first corner and hampered HOMEBUSH CRASH which hesitated momentarily and lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 9	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	All clear.
Race 10	Racing Series Distance Final C2D - NZRSdf - 755	THRILLING EVIE shifted in from the start and caused tightening and checks to WHO DAT BOY, SHANDELL and TEEMARIA which all lost ground and settled back. SHANDELL recovered the best of the affected runners and she made up ground to win the race.
Race 11	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ - C4 - 305	POPSTAR ROCKET was slow to begin and settled back. POPSTAR ROCKET shifted out from the rail going into the bend and caused a check to ODE TO LIBERTY which lost three lengths and she stayed back from there to the finish. The winner CIDER DRINKA was lame following the race and was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have carpal bone pain.
Race 12	FAREWELL AND GOOD LUCK BRIDGET C4 - C4 - 305	HOMEBUSH CHURRO shifted in going into the bend and checked WINE TIME which lost several lengths and all chance and she finished in last place. CAWBOURNE TOMCAT shifted out approaching the home straight and caused a check to SERENA ROSE which was unbalanced and lost ground.
