| Race 1 | Turakina Pets C0 - C0 - 375 | KEY EYE was presented 1.5 kilograms below it's previous raceday start at Cambridge on 15th January 2015. Trainer S. Gommans advised Stewards that KEY EYE was having its first start for the kennel and the decrease in weight was intentional. CAWBOURNE WALLY was crowded shortly after the start between GUMMY GUMPSTA which shifted outwards and CHINESE STAR which shifted inwards. KILIMANJARO which was trailing was momentarily hampered. KILIMANJARO and FAT BOYZ FLYER were obliged to make their run wide throughout. |
| Race 2 | Greyhounds As Pets C0 - C0 - 375 | STAND UP GIRL and DIGGER SOCKS came together a bumped leaving the boxes, with DIGGER SOCKS being further hampered when ROGER RED shifted inwards abruptly. PUKEWHAI MAGIC shifted in over the initial stages bumping with BUNDORAN LASS. ROGER RED angled inwards sharpy approaching the bend colliding with BUNDORAN LASS which lost ground. ROGER RED then became awkwardly placed and contacted the hindquarters of CUTS DEEP which lost ground, going back onto the trailing BUNDORAN LASS which was hampered. ROGER RED and DIGGER SOCKS were obliged to make their runs wide for the majority of the event. |
| Race 3 | Personal Protection Services Ltd C1 - C1 - 375 | SPRING MAJOR shifted in entering the bend placing BOSTON SPIRIT in restricted room for a short distance. MIGHTY MAGIC shifted outwards entering the straight hampering SPRING MAJOR which had to steady and shift ground inwards across the heels of MIGHTY MAGIC to obtain clear running, Once in clear running SPRING MAJOR failed to make up any discernible ground in the straight. SPRING MAJOR was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment. |
| Race 4 | JP Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 457 | WINSOME JENNY shifted in over the early stages bumping with HOMEBUSH GINGER which in turn bumped with TAREE ZARR. WINSOME JENNY continued shifting ground jostling with HOMEBUSH GINGER for a short distance. HOMEBUSH GINGER was inconvenienced rounding the bend when awkwardly placed on the heels of WHERE'S SHIRAZ. NAVAJO BLUE ran wide entering the straight. |
| Race 5 | Creative Catering, Awapuni C1 - C1 - 375 | PIXIE DUST was slow to begin (2L). MEGA JET jumped away awkwardly making contact with UNLIKELY ATTACK. WHEELIE CHILLIE shifted inwards abruptly entering the bend momentarily hampering DOGGED DAN and AYRA STARK. SOME GENES shifted outwards abruptly in the early stages of the straight when awkwardly placed on the heels of MEGA JET which shifted in. Hampered as a result was PIXIE DUST. |
| Race 6 | Steve The Auctioneer Davis C2 - C2 - 457 | THAT'S KING shifted in entering the bend placing BACKYARD BULLY in restricted room for a short distance. BACKYARD BULLY recovered quickly and ran home strongly to finish third at the line. |
| Race 7 | Shakey Jakey @ Rocky Ridge C2 - C2 - 375 | KOTUMBA was crowded for a distance in the early stages and rounding the bend was checked after CAWBOURNE CRAZY shifted inwards. KOTUMBA appeared indifferent in it's action for the remainder of the event and was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment. |
| Race 8 | www.pngreyhounds.kiwi C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 | LOCHINVAR MAUI and OPULENT were crowded shortly after the start between CAWBOURNE ARIES which shifted out aburptly and BORIS which shifted in. ACAPELLA and CAWBOURNE TIP jostled for a short distance in the early stages. CAWBOURNE ARIES was crowded for room entering the bend when racing in tight quarters between BORIS and LOCHINVAR MAUI. COLD TURKEY when racing in tight quarters, was crowded then checked rounding the bend after CAWBOURNE TIP shifted outwards marginally. Inconveneiced was the trailing ACAPELLA and CAWBOURNE ARIES. |
| Race 9 | Outback Trading Company Ltd C3 - C3 - 375 | COSMIC FURY shifted in over the early stages and bumped with SHOWEM BABY for several strides. COSMIC FURY continued to shift ground inwards with SHOWEM BABY and OPAWA MESSINI being hampered shortly after. SHOWEM BABY was the worst affected and remained at the rear of the field for the remainder. SHOWEM BABY was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment, |
| Race 10 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy C5 - C5 - 375 | WHEELIE GOOD improved up onto the back of SIR RICHIE rounding the bend, with WHEELIE GOOD having to check off that runners heels. WHEELIE GOOD then shifted outwards abruptly and ran wide entering the straight. CAESAR CHANCE and ELLE PACKER jostled for a short distance entering the straight. STELLAR FORCE shifted in over the final stages hampering the progress of BIG BOY DENO. |
| Race 11 | Livamol Stakes C4 - C4 - 375 | The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes due to the field arriving late at the boxes. STIFF DRINK and ENHANCER jostled for a short distance in the early stages. MANYANA GROPER was tightened for room entering the bend between MERCENARY and ENHANCER which shifted ground outwards. STIFF DRINK lost contact with the body of the field entering the straight and was distanced at the finish. STIFF DRINK was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment. |
