| Race 1 | Otago First 4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310 | Shortly after the jump PAGANI pushed outwards and became unbalanced when making heavy contact with KNOW CHEERS, with the trailing KNOW MENTION checked. Into the turn the field tightened with KNOW MENTION shifting inwards checking PAGANI and CAWBOURNE KENNY crossing sharply tightening HOMEBUSH INQUIRY and BOLTIN ARCHIE. On the turn BOLTIN ARCHIE ran outwards and struck CAWBOURNE KENNY who was severely checked and lost all chance. |
| Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 545 | From the jump SAILORS COLLAR ran outwards dictating KINLOCH SILVER and NOGGIN wide into the path of MOON AND SEA who was checked. At the same time BOTANY LIZ shifted ground inwards from the No. 8 box checking OPAWA RAPID on her inner. In the run to the first turn SAILORS COLLAR jostled with BOTANY LIZ with both dogs losing momentum. In the back straight SAILORS COLLAR, MOON AND SEA and OPAWA RAPID all ran wide free of interference. |
| Race 3 | Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C2 - 545 | Stewards were notified of a change of trainer for BANBIT since nomination with the greyhound scratched under Rule 64.5 without penalty. In the race HOMEBUSH HOWARD was slow to jump. On the first turn HOMEBUSH NINJA crossed sharply across the front of EARN ME SOME who was forced outwards and checked KINLOCH POWER. In the incident EARN ME SOME dislodged her muzzle which broke causing her some discomfort finishing a long last. At the end of the back straight HOMEBUSH NINJA was held up for racing room by the retiring GOLD VIPA and PUKEKO PROWLER. A post race veterinary check on EARN ME SOME revealed no injury. |
| Race 4 | Just Essence Catering Sprint - C1 - 310 | Stewards were notified of a change of trainer for ARCHIE'S TIME since nomination with the greyhound scratched under Rule 64.5 without penalty. In the race SCARY CANARY jumped awkwardly and lost momentum, whilst TAI BAXTER shifted abruptly inwards off the heels of GOLDSTAR ROSIE. On the turn TAI BAXTER clipped the rear of SCARY CANARY who lost ground to finish back in the field. After the race SCARY CANARY was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
| Race 5 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C2 - 310 | PETRA HAKA was slow to jump. Into the turn PETRA HAKA shifted ground outwards checking SARAH'S DOMAIN who was clipped from behind by NOT SO CUTE. As a result SARAH"S DOMAIN fell and finished a long last after regaining her feet. NOT SO CUTE was severely checked in this incident and lost all chance to finish back in the field. After the race SARAH'S DOMAIN was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
| Race 6 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2 - 310 | OPAWA LUCKY and GO TOMMO were slow to jump. from the jump CHAIMBO shifted ground outwards checking YALDHURST EDWARD. Into the turn NORMAN JEWEL was checked when CHAIMBO ran inwards and then ran out forcing GO TOMMO wide on the bend. |
| Race 7 | Speedprint Shop Stakes - C3 - 545 | CHLOE'S PRODIGY and OPAWA TANIA were slow to jump. Into the straight ROB'S MATE and CHLOE'S PRODIGY bumped with both dog losing momentum. |
| Race 8 | Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | KNOW ATTEMPT was slow to jump. From the jump INVIDIOUS crossed and checked CULVIE MAGIC and THRILLING MARTY. On the first turn THRILLING MARTY ran outwards and forced INVIDIOUS wide with KNOW ATTEMPT also running wide. |
| Race 9 | Otago Daily Times Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | SOUMILLON was slow to jump. From the jump ELEPHANT GUNN shifted ground outwards tightening KNOW DANGER and checking THUMB PRINT TONY. Into the first bend BOTANY BLAKE ran inwards checking CAWBOURNE ABBI, while THUMPB PRINT TONY was forced to check off the heels of SOUMILLON and run wide on the track. Into the back straight CAWBOURNE ABBI bumped the improving KNOW DANGER and lost momentum, and was further hampered by SOUMILLON losing ground to finish well back. |
| Race 10 | St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C3 - 310 | From the jump UNRELIABLE ANDY shifted ground inwards tightening HOMEBUSH ZANE and checking MICKEY TEE. In the run to the turn SAN SEBASTIAN when in or near the lead glanced outwards twice when challenged for the lead on the outer. Stewards reviewed the video and determined that the greyhound was clear of other runners and did not make contact or visibly ease up but continued to chase, completing the race in first place. Stewards showed the trainer of SAN SEBASTIAN (Mr J Allen) a replay of the video and advised him that the dog's actions would be closely monitored in future starts. The trainer advised that this was the dog's first start in six weeks. |
| Race 11 | Green Island Barber Dash - C5 - 310 | From the jump SPRINKLES ran inwards checking CHOKEHOLD and HOMEBUSH CHURRRO shifted ground inwards tightening KERAMUS. In the run to the turn KERAMUS ran outwards checking CRACKING CHAIN and CHOKEHOLD. Turning for home HOMEBUSH CHURRO checked off the heels of SPRINKLES and bumped CHOKEHOLD. |
| Race 12 | Racing Again Tuesday 3rd February - C4 - 310 | Race start time was delayed two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. From the jump TEE TIME shifted ground inwards checking BROKEN PEDRO and BOTANY ZENVO. Into the turn DILLMANSTOWN checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH KELSO and tightened TEE TIME with KNOW KNOWING also checked. Into the home straight BOTANY ZENVO and PORKY PIG bumped and lost momentum. |
