MAXWELL SPRITE shifted in from the start and checked over the heels of CHERIE CHERIE and then made contact with TO THE BANK and lost momentum. MAXWELL SPRITE checked over the heels of SNIFF OF BRANDY going into the bend and shifted out to race a little wide. |
| Race 2 | JP Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375 | POWERHOUSE LEE was checked going to the first corner and lost two lengths. A short distance further on, HOMEBUSH BOUNCE was checked, went back to the rear and she never recovered and finished near the rear. |
| Race 3 | Creative Catering, Awapuni C1 - C1 - 457 | TORERO and OPAWA HALLY both began awkwardly and settled back and they stayed back throughout the race. |
| Race 4 | Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375 | ICAHN dropped back going to the first corner and then checked over the heels of SMIRNOFF going into the bend and shifted out abruptly checking SOME GENES which lost several lengths. |
| Race 5 | Turakina Pets C1 - C1 - 457 | TIME FOR WHAT began awkwardly making contact with OPAWA TOKEN and they both lost ground, settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. TIME FOR WHAT was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have carpus pain. |
| Race 6 | Personal Protection Services Ltd C2 - C2 - 375 | GRAND ALLEGRO was awkwardly placed in restricted room between runners going into the bend and jostled with SAM'S FLYIN NORM for a short distance. They eventually checked back to the rear and never recovered the lost ground. |
| Race 7 | Shakey Jakey @ Rocky Ridge C2 - C2 - 457 | JACKANATOR shifted in from the start and checked PSEUDONYM which settled back. He then checked over the heells of ZAMADDIS LASS going into the bend losing further ground and stayed back to finish last. MAGIC ARROW and ZAMADDIS LASS were awkwardly placed in restricted room adjacent to the rail going to the first corner and were shuffled back to to near the rear where they stayed to the finish. |
| Race 8 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy C3 - C3 - 375 | HERE WITHOUT YOU shifted in from the start and caused bumped to COSMIC FURY, DOLL PARTS and HOMEBUSH TIARE and they were all unbalanced briefly and lost momentum for a short distance. SEMANTICS checked off the back of BIGTIME CHIP going into the bend and shifted out checking HERE WITHOUT YOU which was forced wide. |

| Race 10 | Livamol Stakes C4 - C4 - 375 | STIFF DRINK, SIR RICHIE, CAWBOURNE ARIES and OPAWA LEAN MEAT jostled together fior a short distance soon after the start and CAWBOURNE ARIES suffered the most in the incident and dropped back to the rear and she never recovered the lost ground. |
| Race 11 | Steve The Auctioneer Davis C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | KILCHURN lost his footing behind in his initial stride out of the boxes and lost six lengths and all chance and although making up a considerable amount of ground, he finished in last place. SMASH ALLEGRO shifted in going to the first corner and checked CURIOUS LIFE which lost three lengths. |
| Race 12 | Wellington Cup Heats 16 January C5 - C5 - 375 | WHEELIE GOOD and ALLEGRO CLASS collided going into the bend and thye became unbalanced losing ground. INDIVIDUAL LILY was also hampered in the incident and lost ground. |
