Weather: Fine
Track: Good Due to an electrical fault with the lure system, the start of race 1 was delayed two races to allow time for the Electrician to rectify the issue. The lure was tested prior to the commencement of the meeting with no issues reported.
Scales: Checked and correct.
Health and Safety comment: NIL

Judicial report: CAWBOURNE JOSH (R7) was a late scratching at 2.25pm on veterinary advice.

Race 1	Turakina Pets C0 - C0 - 375	SUSAN JEWEL shifted inwards abruptly from the boxes contacting the hindquarters of GUMMY GUMPSTA. SUSAN JEWEL continued to shift inwards making heavy contact with LITTLE PROPHET soon after. Shortly after jumping, UNLIKELY ATTACK shifted outwards off the heels of TAREE ZARR forcing DYLANS A VILLAIN and WORKING POPPY wider on the track. Hampered as a result was the trailing INFERNAL MAJESTY which had to check when awkwardly placed on the heels of DYLANS A VILLAIN. SUSAN JEWEL had to shifted ground outwards rounding the bend across the heels of WORKING POPPY to continue to improve. GUMMY GUMPSTA was obliged to race wide throughout.
Race 2	Shakey Jakey @ Rocky Ridge C1 - C1 - 375	JOEY'S SECRET and HOMEBUSH BOUNCE were slow to begin. WHEELIE CHILLIE shifted inwards shorty after jumping resulting in INDEFINITE ORDER having to check out and away from that runners heels. INDEFINITE ORDER and HOMEBUSH BOUNCE came together and bumped approaching the bend. Entering the straight, WHEELIE CHILLIE contacted the heels of SERENA ROSE which lost its footing for several strides. Shortly after SERENA ROSE was tightened for room when racing between WHEELIE CHILLIE which shifted outwards and AYRA STARK which shifted inwards marginally. PURE LEE appeared to to shorten stride over the final 50 metres, with PURE LEE being referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and cleared of injury. Co-trainer D MacAuley was asked to report the progress of PURE LEE in the coming days, with the outcome to be reported to the Stewards. JOEY'S SECRET was referred to the Veterinarian at the request of Trainer J Tanner, where a left Pectoral muscle injury was found.
Race 3	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	ANOTHER HUNTER jumped inwards abruptly over the initial stages forcing NAVAJO BLUE into the line of AMY WINEGLASS which was unbalanced briefly. NAVAJO BLUE was severely checked in this incident and settled at the rear of the field entering the bend. ICAHN had to check outwards rounding the bend when awkwardly placed to the inside of LUCARIO. ICAHN was then obliged to race wide for the remainder. Rounding the bend, NAVAJO BLUE overreacted when improving up onto the heels of AMY WINEGLASS, shifting outwards sharply and losing its chance in the event. NAVAJO BLUE was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and found to have a left Pectoral muscle injury.
Race 4	Personal Protection Services Ltd C1 - C1 - 457	GRADER JACK was slow to begin and was then obliged to improve its position wider on the track along the back straight. TAKAMORI had to check shorty after the start when becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BORIS which shifted in. GRADER JACK and BANJO'S RETREAT came together and bumped entering the bend, resulting in GRADER JACK and BANJO'S RETREAT being unbalanced for several strides with BANJO"S RETREAT losing ground. GRADER JACK shifted inwards rounding the bend crowding SPEEDY FEET which lost ground. BANJO'S RETREAT which was trailing and to shift ground outwards to avoid the heels of SPEEDY FEET. TAKAMORI shifted inwards abruptly entering the straight, checking GOLFING BUDDY which then had to shift outwards across that runners heels to obtain clear running.
Race 5	Creative Catering, Awapuni C2 - C2 - 375	COSMIC CHOICE shifted in shortly after jumping hampering TALK IT OVER which lost ground. HERE WITHOUT YOU shifted inwards entering the bend, forcing SMIRNOFF inwards into the line of HOMEBUSH TIARE which was checked. Also hampered were the trailing OLLIE BAXTER and SAM'S FLYING NORM. HOMEBUSH TIARE raced in restricted room rounding the bend and shortly after was checked when SMIRNOFF shifted inwards. SMIRNOFF and HOMEBUSH TIARE then came together and bumped over the early stages of the straight. COSMIC CHOICE shifted inwards over the final 100 metres checking the progress of TALK IT OVER.
Race 6	Steve The Auctioneer Davis C3 - C3 - 375	SEMANTICS and HOMEBUSH RAMONA came together and bumped leaving the boxes. FASTBACK KING was crowded for room rounding the bend between SEMANTICS and UNO ORANGE which shifted inwards. CAWBOURNE TOMCAT raced wide for the majority. HOMEBUSH RAMONA shifted inwards entering the straight making heavy contact with FASTBACK KING which lost ground.
Race 7	Grant Irvine Pharmacy C2 - C2 - 457	CAWBOURNE JOSH was declared a late scratching at 2.25pm on Veterinary advice after the greyhound sustained a toe injury when being brought out to race, OPAWA MESSINI shifted inwards along the back straight resulting in VERY CHILLY which raced to the inside, having to check outwards across that runners heels to continue to improve. VERY CHILLY ran wide entering the bend forcing THAT'S KING over extra ground. MAGIC ARROW shifted outwards rounding the bend, contacting the heels of OPAWA MESSINI which was dragged down momentarily.
Race 8	JP Print, Petone C4 - C4 - 375	MERCENARY was slow to begin. Entering the bend MERCENARY became awkwardly placed on the heels of COSMIC FURY which shifted out marginally. TRICKY ZORRO shifted outwards entering the bend hampering SHAGA BANGA BANG which lost momentum. SHAGA BANGA BANG appeared indifferent in it's action thereafter losing contact with the main body of the field. SHAGA BANGA BANG was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have right Pectoral muscle injury.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company Ltd C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	GOLD STONE was slow to begin (3L). CAWBOURNE BRICK was slow away, however recovered to be with the main body of the field entering the bend. CAWBOURNE BRICK was then held up for a short distance rounding the bend.
Race 10	Livamol Stakes C5 - C5 - 375	POPSOME TAGS lost its footing leaving the boxes, losing ground. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER shifted inwards entering the bend placing SHINZIGZAG in restricted room. SHINZIGZAG then had to check outwards across the heels of HOMEBUSH CHOPPER and in doing so, clipped that runners heel and blundered. DON'T TALK had to check rounding the bend when becoming awkwardly placed between ELLE PACKER and WHAT'S UP GEE.
Race 11	www.pngreyhounds.kiwi C4 - C4 - 375	YA LAUGHIN' stumbled leaving the boxes and shortly after was further hampered when making heavy contact with STIFF DRINK which shifted inwards abruptly. BLUE COSMIC ran wide rounding the bend forcing KASIM and OPAWA LEAN MEAT wider on the track. MISS UNIVERSE which led for the majority of the event, compounded over the final 100 metres finishing 4th at the line. MISS UNIVERSE was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have a left Latissimus Dorsi muscle injury.
Race 12	Happy New Year from PN Greyhounds C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	PREMIER OSTI and THRILLING DYLAN were slow to begin. Entering the bend, KNUCKLE BUMP shifted outwards and contacted the hindquarters of AIR RAID which was momentarily unbalanced. KNUCKLE BUMP shifted outwards over the final stages into the line of PREMIER OSTI which was inconvenienced,
