Track: Heavy .The track was very wet and heavy after morning rain, but as the meeting proceeded with fine weather and light winds the track dried out and the surface improved.

Race 1	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 390	ALBIE MCLEOD was slow to jump. From the jump CAWBOURNE KENNY shifted ground outwards checking BOUND TO ERUPT and then ran inwards checking PINT SIZED PIXIE. In to the turn ALBIE MCLEOD crossed tightening CAWBOURNE KENNY on his inner with the trailing PINT SIZED PIXIE checked and losing ground. On the turn HOMEBUSH RILEY checked off the heels of DA LAST CHOOK and shifted abruptly outwards colliding with PAGANI with both these dogs running very wide on the turn and losing all chances.
Race 2	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C0 - 390	ZAHRA MOON was slow to jump losing several lengths, and tailed the field throughout. In the home straight SMASH WHO ran outwards and forced LAGOON VICTORY and WAIRIO DEE JAY wide.
Race 3	Racing Series Novice Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	In the run to the turn ZULU MERCEDES and JINJA LUCA were tightened and lost momentum when OPAWA BRO shifted outwards and HOMEBUSH BUCK ran inwards. On the turn ZULU MERCEDES ran wide. Into the home straight COURT THE BELLE shifted ground outwards checking JINJA LUCA.
Race 4	WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH OLIVE jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump MAY MAY LAST was checked when NO BRO ran in from the No. 6 box and MATTY HOOKY shifted ground outwards from the No. 4 box. Into the turn MAY MAY LAST ran outwards pushing STARBURST BENNY wide and checking the trailing NO BRO.
Race 5	Racing Series Novice Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	From the jump CALINDA GIRL ran inwards checking CUE POWER. Shortly after OPAWA GAVIN stumbled briefly when CAMSIDE GOLD ran downwards and made heavy contact with OPAWA GAVIN who lost all chance and tailed the field. In the run to the turn SAILORS COLLAR ran outwards dictating BOTANY JOHN wide. Into the turn CAMSIDE GOLD shifted down and checked CUE POWER who lost momentum.
Race 6	Racing Series Novice Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 3	MEGA VOLT was slow to jump and lost ground. From the jump OZARKS DAUGHTER shifted outwards checking SPEEDY SWEDE with both dogs again jostling in the run the turn and losing momentum. Also in the run to the turn MEGA VOLT stumbled when clipping the rear of OZARKS DAUGHTER.
Race 7	Racing Series Novice Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 4	JINJA LOCH jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the jump THRILLING HUNT ran inwards colliding with JINJA LOCH who became unbalanced briefly and lost momentum. At the lure pull up BOTANY BAZZ leapt across two dogs and landed feet first on the head of OPAWA RAPID who had finished in third place. OPAWA RAPID was subject to a veterinary check post race which revealed superficial grazing to the head with no stand down recommended.
Race 8	HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE MCDONALD - C2 - 390	JASPER HAKA began awkwardly and then was tightened between HOMEBUSH CORAL and BOTANY LIZ. Into the turn OPAWA LAZ crossed and dictated STARBURST HANNAH into the path of OPAWA LUCKY with that runner checking outwards and severely hampering BOTANY LIZ. Both OPAWA LUCKY and BOTANY LIZ lost all chances to finish well back in the field.
Race 9	60 CANDLES WE BELIEVE - C3/4 - 457	LENA ALLEN was tightened when GRUNT RODGERS ran outwards from the jump. Into the turn GRUNT RODGERS and LENA ALLEN jostled with GRUNT RODGERS losing ground.
Race 10	HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAVE AND LINDA - C3 - 390	ABOUT TOWN was slow to jump. In the run to the turn SMOKING MARLEY ran inwards dictating YALDHURST EDWARD into the path of UNRELIABLE ANDY who lost ground. Into the turn as the field tightened RAMBUNCTIOUS checked off the rear of ABOUT TOWN with the trailing SARAH'S DOMAIN and SMOKING MARLEY hampered and losing momentum. In the straight UNRELIABLE ANDY was held up for clear racing room by YALDHURST EDWARD.
Race 11	WE GOT YA GOOD DAVE - C5 - 457	Into the turn INVIDIOUS checked off the heels of THRILLING MARTY and ran wide, losing ground.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C4 - 390	Into the turn MARY MARLOW shifted ground inwards checking NO MORE BEERSIES.
