Track: Good The track was power harrowed on the 28-12-2014 and provided a good racing surface All other equipment operated well through out the meeting
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: J Tanner was fined $100-00 per rule 69.11 after CAWBOURNE BEAU weighed in 1.7kgs up from his last race on 17-12-2014

ANGVELLA & MIGHTY MAGIC ( L Ahern ) both completed a satisfactory trial rule 81 and are cleared to race .
An inquiry has been opened and adjourned in to misconduct by Trainer W Hodgson soon after race 7 at todays meeting

Race 1	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 305	SMASHED 'EM BRO was slowest away from box 5 ,on his inner MACGYVER RAMA and TONGARIRO began awkwardly coming together as they came off the mat, TONGARIRO stumbled going back in behind the field, a stride or so on COSMIC RASCAL and WORKING JEWEL raced across forcing SMASHED ,EM BRO in on to MACGYVER RAMA , TONGARIRO,CAWBOURNE BEAU and JINJA COLE ( fav ) all these runners were hampered for a few strides ,TONGARIRO, SMASHED 'EM BRO and MACGYVER RAMA were tightened and checked back TONGARIRO ,and MACGYVER RAMA came together bumping and jostling for several strides hampering SMASHED 'EM BRO who caught the heels of COSMIC RASCAL ,these four runners lost more ground and were unable to get in to contention there after .
Race 2	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 520	Racing in to the first bend there was tightening between OPAWA JAY, COOLABAH BLUE, MAGIC ARROW and MEGA GIRL for several strides ,MEGA GIRL on their inner was the worst affected racing around the bend to the back straight ,the tightening was compounded as CAWBOURNE JOSH raced across the face of these runners to the lead ,MEGA GIRL was forced back towards the rear racing in to the back straight, EMBEE DEE raced wide around the first bend .
Race 3	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C3 - C3 - 305	FASTBACK KING weighed in 2.8 kgs down from his last race on the 5-12-2014 ,Trainer D Poutama was unable to offer an explanation ,the dog underwent a further vet examination before being cleared fit to start. EMPTY BANK was slowest away ,FASTBACK KING led out from the boxes ,BOLT ALLEGRO improved past him racing in to the first turn ,wider out LEADFOOT LENNY raced towards the lead angling inwards causing BOLT ALLEGRO to check out across his heels checking PHILEAS FOG and EMPTY BANK resulting in these runners racing wide across the top bend. BOLT ALLEGRO although covering a bit of extra ground did well to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 4	THE ROCK 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 520	OPAWA TOKEN stumbled leaving box 1 being last away by a good margin, SHADOW BAXTER ran inwards soon after the start colliding in to THAT' S KING knocking him sideways almost off his feet THAT'S KING went back to the rear along side OPAWA TOKEN and was unable to improve there after . OPAWA TOKEN after his poor start made ground steadily there after. but was too far back to get in to contention. THAT'S KING was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 5	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C3 - C3 - 305	This race was delayed 1 minute at the request of race day control. CLAMPED ( fav ) was only fairly away from box 3 Racing in to the first turn ANOTHER JEWEL angled across as JUST YOU WAIT came outwards ,ANOTHER JEWEL pushed SHEIK 'EM UP in on to JUST YOU WAIT ,CLAMPED , ROSA GALLICA and HOMEBUSH RAMONA , all these runners were hampered for several strides ,WINE TIME from box 8 was able to get an uninterrupted run to the lead crossing down to the rail and was never headed there after. ROSA GALLICA was referred to the vet on returning to the wash bay where a right foot injury was detected . CLAMPED only battled after the earlier interference to finish in to 4th placing at the line . ROCKIN' ROD was in behind the earlier trouble and gained a clear run along the inner to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 6	WWW.WANGANUIGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ C3 - C3 - 305	Soon after the start VICKI'S QUEST and CURIOUS LIFE came together jostling for a couple of stride ,soon after CURIOUS LIFE came across on to the shoulder of CRYSTAL WAVE hampering this runner for a couple of strides, at this point VICKI'S QUEST raced across tightening in on to CURIOUS LIFE and CRYSTAL WAVE ,CURIOUS LIFE was squeezed back angling out across the heels of CRYSTAL WAVE to be the widest runner around the top bend in to and down the home straight.
Race 7	THE DOGZONE C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	RED CRYSTAL jumped well and was handy in the early stages ,racing along the back straight RED CRYSTAL racing between runners was slightly hampered going back to the rear finishing in last placing at the line. RED CRYSTAL was referred to the vet for assessment as a precaution where no abnormalities were found.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4 - C4 - 305	From the jump KAZILLION raced across as HEY YOU came out ,NGAURUHOE ,BARRY'S WAY all came together ,HEY YOU was shunted back in behind these runners, WHEELIE GOOD ( fav ) on the inner came out on to NGAURUHOE pushing him out n to KAZILLION and VISION AND POWER ,KAZILLION was severely tightened and checked back to the rear and was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line. KAZILLION was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 9	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4 - C4 - 305	FIGLIA began awkwardly from box 2 as she straightened up she came out as WINFIELD AUTUMN came in resulting in ZIPPING TAY being tightened ands checked back from between them .YA LAUGHING from box 6 went down on his haunches coming off the mat being last away by 5 or more lengths. Racing towards the first turn WINFIELD AUTUMN attempted to cross over bumping in to the shoulder of FIGLIA for some distance before WINFIELD AUTUMN was able to cross to the rail across the face of FIGLIA who ran out of room and fell ,WAR ON TERROR ( fav ) on the inner was checked making contact with the rail whilst keeping his position up handy ,KASIM and SHAGA BANGA BANG ran wide on to the bend when avoiding the fallen runner . FIGLIA recovered to her feet to finish on to the lure some distance behind the rest of the field . FIGLIA was referred to the vet for assessment . WAR ON TERROR was referred to the vet for assessment. where no abnormalities were found.
Race 10	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	Racing in to the first bend ALWAYS WELCOME angled inwards across the face of WALLACE LAD, TRIDENT and CHECK THE MAI La few strides on REALLY CLEVER raced towards the lead cross to the rail checking AIR RAID with TRIDENT and CHECK THE MAIL being shunted back to the rear . CHECK THE MAIL recovered well to finish in to 3rd placing at the line ,TRIDENT was unable to get in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305	CEASAR QUEEN was away well from box 3 towards the lead in the early running ,racing in to the first turn ALLEGRO CHASER raced past crossing to the rail forcing CEASAR QUEEN back in on to ALL IN BERLIN ,SIR RICHIE was tightened inwards at this point as EL JETTA improved angling inwards, CEASAR QUEEN and SIR RICHIE lost some ground back to midfield . As the field neared the home turn CEASAR QUEEN had improved to handy on the inner when SIR RICHIE ran outwards catching her heels ,CEASAR QUEEN went off stride back to last in the running and was observed to be uncomfortable in her action in the run down the home straight finishing a margin in the rear at the line . CEASAR QUEEN was referred to the vet for assessment .
Race 12	RACES TUESDAY 30TH @ HATRICK 5.03PM C5 - C5 - 305	Racing to the first turn EXPONENTIAL LILY ran across the face of the field to the lead causing checks to MISS UNIVERSE, WINFIELD BLACK ,DEATHSTAR, ENAZUMA and OPAWA SISTER , WINFIELD BLACK, OPAWA SISTER and DEATHSTAR all lost ground back towards the rear ,OPAWA SISTER and WINFIELD BLACK made good ground there after to finish in to minor placings
