Judicial report: Trainer MM Grant was fined $50 under the Minor Infringement Table when admitting a charge under Rule 71.4 of failing to arrange for a catcher in Race 7 for THRILLING BERT.

Race 1	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	SMASH STYLE jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. In the run to the turn HOMEBUSH NAKI shifted ground downwards checking HOMEBUSH DOBBY and PAGANI with the trailing SMASH STYLE also hampered and losing ground. WRINKLES which had begun well from the No 8 box was checked and lost momentum when TOKEN JUMP crossed into the turn. On the turn HOMEBUSH DOBBY ran outwards forcing SMASH STYLE wide with that runner losing all chance. In the straight the improving WRINKLES checked off the heels of TOKEN JUMP and briefly stumbled.
Race 2	Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C0 - 310	TERRATRON jumped awkwardly before striking HOMEBUSH EXPRESS on his inner and suffering an injury to the right tibia, with the dog pulling up and not completing the race. Into the turn SMASH WHO clipped the running rail and lost momentum. On the turn BURNO and HOMEBUSH EXPRESS both ran very wide losing all chance. After the race TERRATRON was referred to the veterinarian for assessment.
Race 3	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C0 - 545	CLOUDY NOIR and SPRINGS ETERNAL were slow to jump. Into the first turn MEGA VOLT shifted ground outwards forcing ZAHRA MOON wide and checking the trailing CLOUDY NOIR. At the end of the back straight ERICA GRACE ran outwards with CLOUDY NOIR clipping that dog's heels and falling before regaining her feet to finish the race at the rear. After the race CLOUDY NOIR was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 4	Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310	From the jump MATTY HOOKY shifted ground outwards checking MILLIE'S BOY with the trailing MAY MAY LAST also hampered. Shortly after the jump ANOTHER FORTUNE ran outwards checking FIRE BOY BAXTER and BUSINESS BOSS. Into the turn LOLA BAXTER and MILLIE'S BOY made heavy contact with the trailing MAY MAY LAST forced outwards striking FIRE BOY BAXTER and BUSINESS BOSS and all three dogs losing ground.
Race 5	Happy Birthday Sandra Keen Stakes - C1 - 545	PUKEKO THUNDER weighed in at 3.3kg less than his last race start weight on 2nd December. Since last racing the greyhound has had a change of trainer (C.Healey) and in accordance with Rule 69.12 the penalty was waived as the greyhound had a new trainer. In the race THRILLING HUNT was slow to jump. Into the first turn PUKEKO THUNDER checked off the heels of MOON AND SEA pushing SHEZ KEEN wide and checking the trailing HYPERPARADISE.
Race 6	St Kilda Vet Sprint - C2 - 310	OPAWA LAZ was slow to jump. In the run to the turn CALM SPIRIT ran outwards momentarily checking GOLDSTAR BOMBER. Into the turn GOLDSTAR JEANIE checked off the heels of STARBURST HANNAH forcing OPAWA LAZ and SOUMILLON wide. The trailing CALM SPIRIT was also pushed wide on the turn losing all chance.
Race 7	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C3 - 310	GO BRIDIE was slow to jump. In the run to the turn YALDHURST EDWARD ran inwards checking GO BRIDIE. Entering the turn KNOW WISDOM crossed forcing CAR BOOTLE into the path of YALDHURST EDWARD who in turn checked GO BRIDIE. On the turn YALDHURST EDWARD checked off the heels of RICK'S TERRA losing momentum. In the straight CAR BOOTLE shifted outwards checking GO BRIDIE.
Race 8	Happy Retirement Finn & Oscar Sprint - C5 - 310	The trainer of SANDI CLAWS (S.Keen) made application under Rule 68.13 for the greyhound to have her left leg bandaged, and this was approved by Stewards. From the jump ANGELIC STAR crossed checking SANDI CLAWS. On the turn KERAMUS ran wide, while STARBURST TERRY lost momentum and ran wide when checking off the rear of RODRIGUEZ.
Race 9	Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C2/3 - 545	OPAWA JED was slow to jump. Shortly after the jump HOMEBUSH CORAL was checked when tightened between OPAWA WEBBY and CAWBOURNE FLOYD. On the first turn OPAWA JED ran wide and also down the back straight. Following the race GRUNT RODGERS was referred to the veterinarian for assessment with a small cut under the right hind foot detected and a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 10	Roofing Solutions Stakes - C4/5 - 545	KNOW DANGER and THUMB PRINT TONY were slow to jump. On the first turn STOLEN MONEY ran outwards checking KNOW AMBITION and CAWBOURNE PHILIP.
Race 11	Merry Christmas Sprint - C4 - 310	KNOW MAYHEM was slow to jump. Into the turn NO MORE BEERSIES checked off the rear of KNOW PRIDE and ran wide with the trailing HOMEBUSH ARIEL also checked.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 13th January - C5 - 310	In the run to the turn SMASH THAT ran outwards checking STIRLING DANN. Into the turn IONA HAKA shifted ground outwards checking SMASH THAT with CLONE YOUR OWN forced wide.
