Judicial report: BOSTON BILLY (A Hart & K Taylor) was ordered to perform a satisfactory trial as per Rule 81. Trainer G Cleeve was questioned in regards to being late to retrieve his dog prior to Race 7. After hearing from Mr Cleeve his explanation was accepted on this occasion but he was reminded of his obligations in this regard.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C2 - 295	HARPIC (2) was a shade slow to jump. HELLO BLONDIE (5) received some tightening into the bend and lost a length. On the home turn HELLO BLONDIE edged inwards placing HARPIC in restricted room for a stride.
Race 2	Happy 86th Birthday Alfie Sprint - C0 - 295	KNOW ANTERNET (1), HAYLEY JAMES (3) and TELL THE BOYS (8) were the slowest from the traps. In the early stages RACONTEUR (5) ran inwards checking HAYLEY JAMES for a stride. Into the bend HAYLEY JAMES angled outwards when improving pushing RACONTEUR and MALCY (6) wider on the track. HAYLEY JAMES and MALCY came together for a stride early in the run home.
Race 3	Glenbyre Tavern Stakes - C0 - 520	PASS WITH CARE (6) was a clear last on jumping. PINT SIZED PIXIE (1) switched to the outside in the run to the first bend. SALLY (2) checked outwards off the pacemaking ZIPPING JACOB (3) into the first bend and lost a length. In behind TRACEY (4) received a nasty check off the heels of SALLY with TRACEY losing ground. On the first bend STAR APACHE lost ground when checking off the back of SALLY.
Race 4	David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C2 - 295	PETRA HAKA (3) was a shade slow to jump. WONKEY DONKEY (4) was inclined to shift up the track in the back straight pushing CAWBOURNE CLOCK (6) and JACK'S A JEWEL (8) wider. WONKEY DONKEY and CAWBOURNE CLOCK continued to jostle for a few strides into the bend with both runners losing momentum.
Race 5	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295	LUCAS SCOTT (1) was last to jump. SACAJAWEA (6) drifted to the rear in the early stages after HOMEBUSH OLIVE (8) had crossed quickly from the outside. EDELWEISS (3) was checked into the bend and lost ground as WRINKLES (5) angled inwards after its line was dictated by the continued inwards movement of HOMEBUSH OLIVE. WRINKLES was again tightened and checked into the bend and lost ground with LUCAS SCOTT, MARTY MCMOTH (4) and EDELWEISS all being hampered in behind and forced wider on the track. EDELWEISS checked outwards off the heels of LUCAS SCOTT on the home turn when well back.
Race 6	Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C0 - 295	FIRST OFFICER (8) was very slow to jump with BOSTON BILLY (2), HOMEBUSH DOBBY (4) and TOKEN JUMP (6) all settling well back. OHOKA TORI (1) wanted to run outwards in the back straight losing ground after pushing EM CEE DEE (3) and KNOW LUCK (5) wider on the track. BOSTON BILLY angled outwards on the bend and made contact with HOMEBUSH SLINKY (7) who lost his paws and fell. BOSTON BILLY then appeared to turn its head inwards for a stride when regaining momentum after the incident with HOMEBUSH SLINKY. TOKEN JUMP was forced wide after BOSTON BILLY had straightened on the home turn. BOSTON BILLY and EM CEE DEE came together for a stride in the home straight causing EM CEE DEE to be momentarily checked. HOMEBUSH SLINKY and BOSTON BILLY were both checked and cleared by the vet following this race. After hearing submissions from the Trainers of BOSTON BILLY, Stewards deemed the performance of BOSTON BILLY to be unsatisfactory and ordered that BOSTON BILLY perform a satisfactory trial as per Rule 81.
Race 7	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C2 - 295	GLENN IS GOODSEY (3) and TOKEN RAY (6) were the last pair on jumping. GLENN IS GOODSEY and CONALOO (5) came together for a stride in the back straight. On the turn LOOK AT LUCY (7) ran inwards making solid contact with ROCKWOOD ARCHIE (1) who lost ground.
Race 8	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C0 - 295	OUR JOHN (6) was very slow to jump with SKILLZ TAYLOR (4) and TEAR AWAY TEDDY (8) also settling well back. CHERIE CHERIE (7) and TEAR AWAY TEDDY both ran wide into the bend. STRUGGLE IS REAL (2) ran wide on the home turn losing ground.
Race 9	Opawa Bowl & Jack Sprint - C3 - 295	GO TOMMO (1) and QUE TEE PIX (4) were the last pair at the jump. HOMEBUSH ZANE (7) ran inwards in the back straight causing tightening to KNOW FAULT (5), BLONDE TORI (3) and GO TOMMO. GO TOMMO shifted outwards into the bend pushing QUE TEE PIX, BLONDE TORI and LA FONTAINE (6) wider on the track.
Race 10	Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C2 - 520	A Trainer change for KINLOCH ACTION (8) to S&B Evans had not been noted in publications with this information being relayed to the public throughout the day. JINJA COOKIE (1), COVER TO COVER (5) and BLUSHING BELLE (6) were the last trio on jumping. NICKY NOIR (7) ran inwards in the run to the first bend tightening OPAWA JEAN (4) and KINLOCH POWER (2) who both lost ground. JINJA COOKIE checked outwards into the first bend pushing COVER TO COVER wider on the track.
Race 11	Mac Developments Dash - C3 - 295	WILL EXCITE (7) was last to jump. CAPTAIN'S CHOICE (4) shifted outwards on the home turn pushing GOLDSTAR CHYNA (8) wider on the track with this pair losing ground. Stewards requested a post race veterinary check of WILL EXCITE after this dog proved disappointing with this check revealing no abnormality. When questioned in regards to the performance Trainer L Waretini stated that she was very disappointed with the run and could only think that the quick back up from Thursday did not suit the dog. Ms Waretini will report to Stewards if anything comes to light in upcoming days that may explain the performance.
Race 12	Protexin Dash - C2 - 295	ELWOOD SENSATION (7) was last to jump. GORILLA ON DRUMS (3) angled outwards in the back straight checking JASPER HAKA (2) and coming together with GOLD VIPA (9). ELWOOD SENSATION was posted wide as a result of this incident.
