| Race 1 | WELCOME SPRINT - C0 - 390 | From the jump STAR APACHE and MASTER AT ARMS bumped and lost momentum. Shortly afterwards HOMEBUSH NAKI shifted ground outwards checking BURNO and the trailing MEGA VOLT. Into the turn MEGA VOLT ran outwards forcing MASTER AT ARMS wide. On the turn CAMSIDE GOLD shifted inwards colliding heavily with STAR APACHE with both dogs losing ground. Following the race HOMEBUSH FLYTE appeared in some discomfort and was subject to a veterinary check which revealed dehydration and lethargy with a five day stand down recommended. |
| Race 2 | SANTAS LITTLE HELPERS SPRINT - C1 - 390 | From the jump OZARKS DAUGHTER ran outwards checking HOMEBUSH NINJA. Into the turn NORMAN JEWEL shifted outwards off the heels of HOMEBUSH ERROL and then MR NOVEMBER ran outwards forcing NORMAN JEWEL to strike the hind quarters of EYREWELL HAWKE who fell and took no further part in the race. NORMAN JEWEL lost all chance in the incident and finished well back. EYREWELL HAWKE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed an injury to the right fore carpus with a 21 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C2 - 390 | JACKS A JEWEL shifted inwards from the jump checking OPAWA LAZ and BARNICLE BILL. Into the straight ROCKWOOD ARCHIE clipped the heels of JACKS A JEWEL and then was also struck again by ROCKWOOD ARCHIE before losing ground to finish at the rear. |
| Race 4 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C3 - 390 | TRICKY ZORRO shifted inwards at the start checking CAWBOURNE BUTTSY, GO TOMMO and UNRELIABLE ANDY. UNRELIABLE ANDY and OPAWA HOG made contact on several occasions over the early stages with OPAWA HOG being checked out the back of the field.. GO TOMMO and CAWBOURNE BUTTSY ran wide on the bend. Following this race the muzzle on TRICKY ZORRO was badly damaged and the dog returned without the muzzle due to the damage which occurred. |
| Race 5 | WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C4 - 390 | Into the straight DEE shifted ground outwards colliding with PUMA PANTS who was struck from behind by SLEEPER AGENT and stumbled to lose all chance and finish a distant last. A post race veterinary checked revealed PUMA PANTS had suffered a near side shoulder tear with a 21 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 6 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457 | MALCY was slow to jump. From the jump ZULU CHANEL shifted ground outwards checking HOMEBUSH HOWARD. On the turn ZULU CHANEL ran outwards pushing HOMEBUSH HOWARD wide. |
| Race 7 | SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 457 | THRILLING HUNT shifted inwards over the early stages resulting in LAGOON BELLE, CHAIMO and ARCHI BALE being tightened for room. Near the bend ARCHI BALE shifted inwards and made contact with CHAIMBO. CHAIMBO then shifted outwards and made contact with LAGOON BELLE with both these runners losing their momentum. |
| Race 8 | 9 SLEEPS TO GO - C1/2 - 457 | CAN'T CATCH TIM and TOKEN RAY both began awkwardly and lost ground at the jump. In the run to the bend LAGOON MAY shifted outwards resulting in OPAWA UNO and WAIMAK DAVE both buffeting on several occasions. HOMEBUSH CORAL and BOTANY LIZ also buffeted one another in the run to the bend. On the bend LAGOON MAY shifted outwards sharply resulting in TOKEN RAY, BOTANY LIZ and SPARROW all being severely checked. TOKEN RAY then raced wide on the bend. |
| Race 9 | CHRISTMAS CRACKERS STAKES - C3 - 457 | From the jump FLIP FLIPPA and BOTANY RICHIE bumped losing momentum. In the run to the turn JINJA TURTLE shifted ground outwards bumping THRILLING BERT. On the bend THRILLING BERT shifted ground downwards checking JINJA TURTLE with the trailing FLIP FLIPPA checking outwards and losing ground. |
| Race 10 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C4 - 457 | From the jump JESSIE SURFS ran inwards checking SHINES BRIGHT with BOTANY SEATON tightened between these runners. In the run to the turn WHAT I LIKE shifted ground inwards tightening the field with BOTANY BLAKE, JESSIE SURFS, BOTANY SEATON and SHINES BRIGHT all receiving checks. Shortly afterwards BOTANY SEATON and BOTANY BLAKE collided with both dogs losing momentum. Into the turn SHINES BRIGHT pushed outwards checking BOTANY BLAKE. |
| Race 11 | MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL - C5 - 457 | GAME GIRL, DOLEUZE, THUMB PRINT TONY and INVIDIOUS all come together at the start. JINJARANGO shifted inwards to the lead on the bend with OPAWA TOM checking off its heels. OPAWA TOM and THRILLING MARTY then made contact with OPAWA TOM losing its momentum and THRILLING MARTY being forced to race wide on the bend. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C5 - 390 | From the jump COSTING MONEY ran sharply inwards from Box 8 tightening SANDI CLAWS and OPAWA COLIN and colliding with CHARLIE'S CHOICE. The trailing FLYING SWAN was also checked. Into the turn COSTING MONEY shifted inwards severely checking CHARLIE'S CHOICE with FLYING SWAN tightened on his inner and falling. FLYING SWAN regained his feet to finish the race a distant last. FLYING SWAN was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
