| Race 1 | Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310 | BURNO shifted in at the start crowding HOMEBUSH HOWARD and CLOUDY NOIR who lost ground. HOMEBUSH HOWARD was then dictated inwards onto KNOW LUCK with these dogs making heavy contact. BURNO and GLADYS EMMANUEL then jostled down the back straight. Into the turn HOMEBUSH HOWARD shifted in crowding BURNO who lost ground. On the turn SPRINGS ETERNAL shifted in crowding BURNO who made brief contact with the rail and lost ground. |
| Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310 | SAILORS COLLAR scrambled for the first few strides. FIRE BOY BAXTER was crowded and lost ground as the field made the bend. Into the turn BUSINESS BOSS shifted ground outwards and sent CASLEY out onto SAILORS COLLAR and CASTLE EDEN with both these dogs dictated very wide on the track. |
| Race 3 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C1 - 545 | Shortly after the start THRILLING HUNT shifted in crowding NOGGIN and SUBTERFUGE inwards onto BRUISER BALE who was unbalanced momentarily. NOGGIN was then crowded again and had to check and shift ground outwards. In the run to the first turn SUBTERFUGE shifted ground inwards making heavy contact with MOON AND SEA who was unbalanced. Into the first turn HOMEBUSH STEW was crowded by THRILLING HUNT who shifted in. Also into the first bend SUBTERFUGE ran wide taking NOGGIN wider on the track. SUBTERFUGE and NOGGIN again made contact making the bend into the final straight. |
| Race 4 | Green Island Barber Stakes - C2/3 - 545 | OPAWA OPAL was slow to begin with OPAWA JED beginning awkwardly and losing ground. Into the first bend OPAWA AMY shifted inwards crowding KNOW SMIGGLE who lost ground. Further into the first bend GOLDSTAR BELLA and KNOW SMIGGLE made firm contact with both dogs becoming momentarily unbalanced. |
| Race 5 | Speedprint Shop Sprint - C1 - 310 | OZARK'S DAUGHTER was slow into stride. Into the bend TAI BAXTER shifted in crowding MITCHELL DEAN. Shortly after this MITCHELL DEAN shifted out bumping TAI BAXTER who was turned sideways resulting in the trailing OPAWA LUCKY being checked and losing ground. Further into the bend MITCHELL DEAN has again been crowded and lost ground. MITCHELL DEAN then had trouble gaining clear racing having to shift outwards across heels on the final bend. |
| Race 6 | Happy Birthday Justine Smith - C2 - 310 | GOLDSTAR CHYNA was slow to begin with JOHN DORY scrambling badly out of the boxes and lost considerable ground. In the run down the back straight HOMEBUSH ZANE shifted in and crowded KNOW FAVOURS who lost ground. Into the bend KNOW FAVOURS lost ground when shifting out and making firm contact with WINNIE WILLOW who was turned sideways. Well into the bend JOHN DORY has had to check when improving on to the heels of GOLDSTAR CHYNA. |
| Race 7 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2 - 310 | GENIA HAKA faltered at the start then took no competitive part in the race. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary examination of GENIA HAKA which revealed a dislocated hip which was put back into place by the veterinarian. |
| Race 8 | St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C4 - 545 | BOTANY SEATON was slow to begin and then further hampered when OPAWA WEBBY shifted in. Shortly afterwards OPAWA CASPER shifted inwards crowding OPAWA WEBBY onto WHAT I LIKE and LENA ALLEN. Racing into the first turn LENA ALLEN was crowded and lost ground when OPAWA CASPER shifted in. As a result the trailing OPAWA WEBBY was forced wide into the bend. |
| Race 9 | Otago Daily Times Stakes - C5 - 545 | In the run to the first turn PUNCH ON JAIME was crowded between runners and lost ground. KNOW AMBITION was slow through the early stages and raced wide into the first bend. Into the back straight THRILLING MARTY shifted out across heels and raced very wide before shifting in on the final turn but again ran very wide on the track in the run home. |
| Race 10 | Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C3 - 310 | GO BRIDIE was slow to begin. Down the back straight HOMEBUSH ARIEL and SAN SEBASTIAN jostled for several strides. Into the bend KNOW KNOWING shifted in making firm contact with SAN SEBASTIAN who was then obliged to check out off the heels of KNOW KNOWING and was then galloped on by GO BRIDIE. GO BRIDIE then raced wide into the bend. Also at this point in the race NOBLE FANTASY received a bump from HOMEBUSH PAIGE and shifted wider on the track |
| Race 11 | Roofing Solutions Dash - C5 - 310 | CRACKING CHAIN began awkwardly and made contact with IONA HAKA. In the run down the back HOMEBUSH KELSO shifted outwards crowding DRYSDALE and then making firm contact with OSCAR TUIVASA with all three dogs being unbalanced and losing momentum. The trailing IONA HAKA was also hampered in this incident. |
| Race 12 | Racing Again Tuesday 23rd December - C4 - 310 | Both SPRINKLES and OPAWA IDOL scrambled away at the start. NEDDY SEAGOON jostled with OPAWA IDOL and RICK'S TERRA in the run down the back straight. OPAWA IDOL had to shift ground outwards in the run home to find clear racing room. |
