Judicial report: LAST EXPLORER (R2), YOU'RE SO FREE (R3), BOTANY LIZ (R8), KILCHURN (R9), BOTANY BLAKE (R10) and BOTANY RICHIE (R10) were all late scratchings due to kennel cough. Handler B Cairns was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he failed to catch THUMB PRINT TONY at the conclusion of Race 5 as arranged.

Race 1	Bill's Bar & Bistro Feature - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH ROCKY (1) and ABOGADO (2) were the last pair to jump. In the back straight OHOKA HOPE (6) checked outwards off the back of HOMEBUSH ARIEL (7) and checked KNOW WISDOM (8) who lost ground. Into the bend ABOGADO angled outwards badly checking OHOKA HOPE who dropped to the rear. In the home straight ABOGADO ran outwards pushing OHOKA HOPE wider on the track.
Race 2	racingdogs.co.nz Feature - C4 - 295	ZORBA THE GREEK (4) and SWISS ACE (5) were the last pair on jumping. This pair were then both tightened into the bend losing ground as BUSINESS AFFAIR (6) crossed from their outside.
Race 3	Chris & Lisa Earl Place Pick Feature - C2 - 520	This race was delayed by three minutes at the request of Raceday Control. SOUMILLON (3) was last to jump. KILLER LYON (2) was checked in the early stages as CULVIE SPRITE (4) crossed to the rail. CULVIE SPRITE was checked and ran outwards into the first bend and pushed KILLER LYON off balance with this runner losing ground.
Race 4	Nigel "Sharkie" Clark Memorial Cup - C4 - 520	CAWBOURNE FLOYD (7) leapt in the air as the start was effected and lost five lengths. RUNAWAY TAXI (1) and LOCHINVAR MAUI (2) jostled in the early stages. WHAT I LIKE (3) received a slight check into the first bend as LOCHINVAR MAUI improved to his inside.
Race 5	Camside Stud Feature - C3 - 520	WAIMAK DAVE (7) was last to jump. OPAWA SAM (5) ran inwards in the early stages as HIS LORDSHIP (2) angled outwards with GRUNT RODGERS (4) being tightened and dropping to a clear last. GEE CEE BEE (1) was checked and ran outwards on the first bend with OPAWA SAM and BOTANY SEATON (6) being inconvenienced in behind and losing momentum. Into the back straight OPAWA SAM checked outwards off the heels of HIS LORDSHIP with BOTANY SEATON being shifted wider on the track. VOUSSOIR (3) ran wide on the home turn. GRUNT RODGERS was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	Mac Developments Feature - C5 - 520	LUNAR TOM (1) angled outwards in the early stages tightening KNOW DANGER (3) who dropped to the rear. Into the first bend LUNAR TOM continued its outwards movement being dragged down and checking DYNA FILBERT (4) and CULVIE MAGIC (8) who fell. LUNAR TOM and CULVIE MAGIC were both referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 7	2014 Super Pets Galaxy - C5f - 295	HOMEBUSH KELSO (6) and NO LEAF CLOVER (8) dropped to the rear in the early stages. SMASH RUMOUR (2), POPSOME TAGS (3) and HOMEBUSH KELSO were all tightened and checked into the bend and lost ground. On the home turn MR. WHIPPY (1) checked off the back of NEED TO CHILL (4) on the home turn and lost momentum.
Race 8	Carol's T.A.B. Feature - R/A - 520	OPAWA KAREN (3) and SHINES BRIGHT (7) were the last pair on jumping. OPAWA MARJORIE (8) ran inwards in the early stages causing checks to BLACK CROW (6), HOMEBUSH PAIGE (4), OPAWA KAREN and BOOSTIN' (2) with OPAWA KAREN striking the rail and dropping to the rear. OPAWA ROSIE (1) was checked into the back straight and lost ground. OPAWA KAREN was cleared of any injury following this event.
Race 9	2014 Christchurch Casino NZ Cup - C5f - 520	OPAWA TOM (4) was subject to a pre race veterinary check and passed fit to race. JINJARANGO (8) was last to jump. Into the first bend DREAM COLLECTOR (5) ran outwards and collided with MURTAUGH (6) with both runners losing momentum.
Race 10	David Emerson Consultancy Feature - R/A - 520	Into the first bend CAN'T CATCH TIM (1) angled outwards severely checking OPAWA ROCKY (4) and TRUST ISSUES (6) who had been racing in tight quarters. OPAWA OPAL (7) was also inconvenienced in this incident.
Race 11	I Pave Concrete Sockburn Cup - C2d - 732	GOLDSTAR BELLA (1) was last to jump. ATOM BOMB (2) ran outwards into the first bend pushing KNOW AMBITION (3) and BLUSHING BELLE (6) wider on the track with this trio losing ground.
Race 12	Power Farming Canterbury Feature - C5 - 295	IRISH BLUE (1), GUS (3) and KERAMUS (7) were the last trio on jumping. SOPHIE'S TERRA (4) received a check into the bend simultaneously to GO HOUSIE (6) being tightened and checking LITTLE REGUS (5) and GUS who both dropped to the rear. KERAMUS was pushed wide in this incident.
