Track: Dead The track was racing slow and as a result the times were slow, particularly early in the programme and this was as a result of heavy rain falling in the area leading into the meeting.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH BUTTON, PIXIE DUST and HIDE THE SOCKS were slow to begin losing two lengths. PIXIE DUST recovered the best of the three and she made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. SCOTT MY MONEY shifted out from the start and WORBOYS shifted in which resulted in SO UNBELIEVABLE and CUTS DEEP being checked with SO UNBELIEVABLE the most affected and he went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	CHERIE CHERIE and WHAT A PARTY both checked off the back of DOGGED DENNIS going into the bend and lost ground. FOUND MY BERRIES and WHAT A PARTY ran wide covering extra ground on the bend.
Race 3	www.RacingTips.co.nz C0 - C0 - 520	All clear.
Race 4	J P PRINT (PETONE) C1 - C1 - 520	TIME FOR WHAT began awkwardly losing three lengths. WALL AGE and PROCRASTINATION bumped together going into the first bend and PROCRASTINATION was unbalanced losing three lengths and he never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 305	The start was delayed by 4 minutes due to a request from the TAB. GOODTIME ALLANAH turned in the box losing all chance and eventually finished some distance behind the other runners and is required, under Rule 72.13, to complete a satisfactory box trial before next racing. DARK WITCH, HOMEBUSH DODGER and HOMEBUSH OLIVE were slow to begin losing two lengths. ICAHN shifted out going into the bend and raced very wide over extra ground from there to the finiish. The winner JUST ABOUT READY appeared slightly lame following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have carpus pain.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 520	OPAWA PAUL and BOSTON SPIRIT shifted in from the start and this resulted in a check to DIRECTOR VANCE which lost ground and settled at the rear. DIRECTOR VANCE then raced wide on the first bend and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 7	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	DO MORE began awkwardly losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout the race and finished last.
Race 8	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C1 - C1 - 520	COOLABAH BLUE and ZALIA were slow to begin and settled back. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT was bumped and momentarily unbalanced on the first bend and lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT was held up behind OPAWA RABBIT for a short distance going into the final bend.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	MACGYVER RAMA shifted out across the heels of SMASHED EM BRO going into the bend and hampered FIVE KAY LEG and FORTIS MEMORIES which both lost ground. SMASHED EM BRO checked off the back of CLAMPED on the bend and lost two lengths.
Race 10	NZ Racing Series Novice Final - NZRSf - 520	SPEEDY FEET was found to have kennel cough when removed from the kennels to prepare to race and was declared a late scratching. CURIOUS LIFE shifted out soon after the start and checked OPAWA JEAN which lost two lengths but she was quickly back into stride and went to the front soon after and never relinquished the lead. MINNIE FOR MUM shifted in going into the first bend and caused a check to COSMIC SCRAMBLE which lost a length. Simultaneously, THRILLING DUDE on the inside of those runners, was receiving pressure from the outside on his hind quarters and this resulted in his head turning out slightly for a stride. The Stewards were satisfied that THRILLING DUDE had not breached the Rules. MINNIE FOR MUM was buffetted on two occasions soon after and lost ground and finished in 6th place.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH MISHA and JOEY'S SECRET were slow to begin losing two lengths. HOMEBUSH ZANE shifted out going to the first corner and checked NINA BE GOOD which went back to the rear and finished in last place.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	FAIR CONQUEST shifted in soon after the start and checked MANU RAMA and HOMEBUSH SARAH which both lost ground. MANU RAMA shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to HOMEBUSH SARAH and FAIR CONQUEST and they went back to near the rear and never recovered.
Race 13	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	BILLY BRAND was checked going into the bend and made firm contact with the rail losing several lengths and he tailed the field from there to the finish. BILLY BRAND was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a laceration to the thigh.
Race 14	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	NEWTON WILLOW was slow to begin losing two lengths.
