| Race 2 | 2014 Christchurch Casino NZ Cup Semi-Finals Heat 2 - C5q - 520 Heat 2 | LOCHINVAR ROSSI (7) was very slow to jump with FLYING SWAN (8) also settling well back. ELEPHANT GUNN (1) was tightened in the early stages and lost a length. Into the first bend ELEPHANT GUNN checked outwards off the back of INVIDIOUS (2) and collided heavily with LOCHINVAR ROSSI. As a result ELEPHANT GUNN took a heavy fall with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury. |

LUNAR TOM and BOTANY BLAKE both ran wide around the first bend. OPAWA ZARA was checked at the end of the back straight when attempting to improve between runners. |

ANGEL NOIR and KERAMUS came together on the home turn. |

MARY MARLOW (1) was tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. GUS (6) was held up for a few strides on the bend. BUMP angled inwards on the home turn causing SOPHIE'S TERRA (7) to shift ground to the outside losing momentum. |

GOLDSTAR MARIO (3) was badly checked into the bend and dropped to the rear and BANBIT (2) was tightened as HOMEBUSH SARAH (10) attempted to cross them from wider out. HOMEBUSH SARAH was turned sideways in this incident and lost momentum. |
| Race 10 | Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C3 - 295 | GENIA HAKA (9) was extremely difficult to box in this event. ZORBA THE GREEK (1) and GENIA HAKA were the last pair on jumping with CAWBOURNE KIWI (5) also settling well back. ZORBA THE GREEK ran outwards when improving into the bend pushing CAWBOURNE KIWI, HOMEBUSH PAIGE (6) and GENIA HAKA wider on the track. |
| Race 11 | Bill's Bar & Bistro Dash - C2 - 295 | GIGANAIRE (2) was a clear last on jumping. GO BRIDIE (6), GOLDSTAR CHYNA (8) and CAMPAIGNER (9) jostled for some strides in the early stages wider on the track. CRONK WENT PLONK (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. As this dog dropped back through the field GIGANAIRE was unable to avoid him with this pair both being badly checked and losing their chances. The vet cleared both dogs of injury after assessment. |
| Race 12 | Protexin Dash - C3 - 295 | SMASH EASY (7) ran outwards on dispatch with ABOGADO (8) receiving a slight check and losing ground before angling inwards coming together with BOTANY ZENVO (6) for a stride. SMASH EASY was then obliged to race wide throughout. |
