Track: Good Despite the track readings being at an acceptable and consistent range, Stewards were concerned at the rate of injuries as a result of today's racing. This concern was passed on to the Secretary/Manager of the Club who will address the issue.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Co-trainer J Lane was questioned in regards to being late to kennel some of his dogs in the second kennelling. After hearing from Mr Lane it was established that his kennel staff were not at fault and Stewards took the matter no further.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C2 - 295	CAMPAIGNER (4) and CEC DIVINE (8) were the last pair on settling. ADVANCED PEDRO (6) was slightly tightened into the bend and ran outwards with this dog then faltering and dropping to the rear. ADVANCED PEDRO was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	DogZone Maiden Stakes Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	OAK SPUR (3) escaped from its handler on exiting the kennel block when slipping its lead and ran around the track for some distance. The lead was inspected and found to be in excellent condition. This dog was a late scratching on veterinary advice. DARCY BRASCO (1) and KNOW RIGHTS (4) were the last pair on jumping. Into the first bend BIG JOHN CANON (6) was badly checked and dragged down when racing to the outside of HOMEBUSH STEW (8) who had been forced outward by CAWBOURNE KITT (5). SACAJAWEA (7) was forced very wide as a result of this incident. PINT SIZED PIXIE (2) also ran wide around this bend. HOMEBUSH STEW also lost ground at this stage with KNOW RIGHTS checking off this runner and losing ground.
Race 3	Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C0 - 295	CHERIE CHERIE (3) angled outwards on dispatch causing tightening to KNOW LUCK (4), EDELWEISS (5) and MARTY MCMOTH (9) with VERBATIM (7) also being inconvenienced as it ran inwards. Into the bend KNOW LUCK improved to the inside of CHERIE CHERIE with this runner being forced on to HURRICANE SANDY (8) who ran out of room and fell. EDELWEISS the checked off the back of CHERIE CHERIE with CHERIE CHERIE then running inwards and colliding with VERBATIM. HURRICANE SANDY and CHERIE CHERIE were both referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormalities.
Race 4	DogZone Maiden Stakes Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	SUSAN JEWEL (4) proved difficult to box in this event with this bitch's box manners to be monitored in coming engagements. OUR JOHN (1) and OPAWA EXTREME (6) were both very slow to jump with GOOD GIRL NINA (8) also tardily away. In the run to the first bend SUSAN JEWEL checked outwards off CUE POWER (3) and brushed with MICKEY TEE (5) with SUSAN JEWEL losing ground. GOOD GIRL NINA was forced wide around these runners.
Race 5	Yaldhurst Hotel Sprint - C0 - 295	ANOTHER RIDDLE (2) and TEAR AWAY TEDDY (7) were both slow to jump. HOMEBUSH DOBBY (4) angled inwards coming together with ANGEL D'OR (3) in the early stages and lost ground. JINJA COLL (5) also angled inwards in the back straight causing tightening to ANGEL D'OR who lost ground. JINJA COLL then checked outwards on the home turn and lost ground. TEAR AWAY TEDDY checked off runners on the bend after being held up for clear room.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520	BOTANY RICHIE (6) ran inwards on dispatch with HOMEBUSH GINGER (3) blundering and angling outwards. As a result OPAWA LOI (4) and OPAWA MESSINI (5) were both tightened and lost ground. HOMEBUSH GINGER then angled outwards in the run down the straight forcing OPAWA MESSINI wider on the track. OPAWA LOI checked off the heels of OPAWA BRO at the entrance to the back straight and dropped away with OPAWA LOI being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 7	Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C2 - 295	GYPSY HUNTER (2) ran outwards coming together with OUT BACK BILL (3) in the initial stages with GYPSY HUNTER dropping to a clear last. GO BRIDIE (8) received a check on the home turn when racing to the outside of ABOUT TOWN (6) and lost a length. PHAT PANTS (5) ran outwards on the home turn pushing ABOUT TOWN wider on the track. This pair came together for a stride early in the run home causing both dogs to lose momentum. GYPSY HUNTER was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 8	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA DOSH (8) and MASSAGE ONLY (9) were the last pair on jumping. HOMEBUSH BUCK (4) angled outwards into the first bend pushing GOLDSTAR FRANKIE (6), OPAWA DOSH and MASSAGE ONLY over extra ground.
Race 9	Farewell Elara Dash - C2 - 295	CHURCHILL CHASER (1) was tightened in the back straight and lost ground. CULVIE BOY (5) and HOMEBUSH PAIGE (7) were both checked from behind into the bend causing resultant checks to SHEZA GAMBLE (3) and NOT SO CUTE (4) with CHURCHILL CHASER and CAWBOURNE CLOCK (8) both being forced wide to avoid these runners.
Race 10	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C2 - 520	OPAWA JEAN (5) and FLIP FLIPPA (8) were the last pair on settling. TRUE BLUE STYLE (4) was checked into the first bend and lost ground. TRUE BLUE STYLE was then checked from behind by OPAWA JEAN who lost ground with OPAWA MARJORIE (6) also being checked and losing ground. MR. BARRY (9) faltered free of interference on the first bend and failed to complete the event with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	TOKEN RAY (2) was very slow to jump. MULL IT OVER (1) angled outwards into the bend causing tightening to LIZ WATTO (4) and pushing CORPORATE IMAGE (6) wider on the track. On the home turn SOME GENES (7) improved to the inside of CORPORATE IMAGE with this runner again being shunted wide. Closer in LIZ WATTO was checked as TOKEN RAY attempted to improve to her inside with LIZ WATTO losing ground. HOMEBUSH ZANE (8) and SOME GENES came together for a stride at this stage. CORPORATE IMAGE was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C2 - 295	YALDHURST EDWARD (5), HOME TRUTH (6) and ZULU BRO (7) were the last trio on settling. RATTLE YA DAGS (1) checked outwards into the bend causing YALDHURST EDWARD to lose ground. HOME TRUTH raced very wide around this bend losing ground.
