Track: Good The Club have purchased new scales since the last meeting but unfortunately, they were not weighing the Greyhounds as accurately as is required and will be recalibrated prior to the next meeting on 10.10.14. As a result, there were no weight variations available through the TAB for this meeting. The track was well presented and with the equipment functioning well, the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: KISS OF DEATH completed a satisfactory trial which was required unbder Rule 81.1 and is now eligible to race at Totalisator meetings. L.Ahern the Trainer of TINDER TIME was fined $ 150-00 under Rule 88.1 o after she failed to scratch the dog from race 2 by the required time. TINDER TIME had been a scratching and was stood down with injury from the Palmerston North GRC meeting on Monday 06.10.14

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	DOGGED DENNIS and SKELETON WITCH jostled together for a short distance in the race to the first corner and became unbalanced briefly but they recovered to finish in 2nd and 4th places. ICAHN angle out going to the first corner and forced GUMMY GUMPSTA and PORTOBELLO PATSY very wide and all three lost ground. ICAHN continued to shift out over extra ground on the bend.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	WINE TIME shifted in going into the bend and checked DARK WITCH which lost two lengths but she made up the lost ground well to finish in 3rd place. WAIRERE MIKE shifted in and WINE TIME shifted out slightly going into the bend and they jostled together for a short distance and went back to the rear where they stayed until the finish.
Race 3	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C0 HEAT 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	MEG'S ME MUM was the slowest to begin losing two lengths. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT was handy to the lead going into the first corner but was checked and went back to near the rear. HOMEBUSH BOUNCE, ALAMEIN BLONDE and SCOTT THE BEST were all checked in the incident and lost ground with SCOTT THE BEST the most affected and she was forced out very wide on the bend. A short distance further on, MEG'S ME MUM checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE BRIGHT and lost two lengths.
Race 4	J P PRINT (PETONE) C0 HEAT 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	BLU DESIRE shifted in from the start and bumped with LEROY JETHRO and soon after, shifted in again and crowded LEROY JETHRO and BOTANY CHRIS for a short distance and all three settled at the rear.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH DAWN checked off the heels of WHERE'S RICAN ging to the first corner and lost two lengths. KIRIBATI GIRL checked over the heels of BIGTIME KAZ on the bend and shifted out to race a little wide.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	GEM'S CONQUEST, MARLENE'S TERRA and SAM'S FLYIN NORM were all slow to begin and settled back. GEM'S CONQUEST recovered the best of the three and finished well to win the race. KING'S SELECTION shifted out going into the bend and hampered TRENDY LASS, MARLENE'S TERRA and SAM'S FLYIN NORM and they were forced wide.
Race 7	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	MISS RAZZ shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to MONKEY QUEEN, HOMEBUSH TED and VISION AND POWER which were all checked losing ground and they stayed well back throughout the race.
Race 8	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C1 - C1 - 520	ANOTHER HUNTER shifted in from the start and caused crowding to COSMIC WARRA, GOLDSTAR FRANKIE and OLLIE BAXTER and they lost ground and settled at the rear. MISS SELFIES was bumped and lost a length going into the first bend.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	TAI BAXTER shifted in across the heels of FLIRT WITH ME from the start and he lost ground and settled at the rear. HOMEBUSH VICKS began awkwardly and settled back and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 520	SHERIFF ROSCOE and HOMEBUSH BUCK were slow to begin losing three lengths. SHERIFF ROSCOE then shifted out going into thye first bend and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race and covered considerable extra ground and finished in last place. It was SHERIFF ROSCOE'S first start on the Wanganui track.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 FINAL - C1f - 305	HOMEBUSH LUCIFER was very slow to begin losing several lengths and all chance and he tailed the field throughout the race. MEGA UPLOAD galloped on the back of INDEFINITE ORDER on the bend when they were racing handy to the leaders and they lost several lengths and finished in the last two places.
Race 12	MELBOURNE CUP DAY @ HATRICK 4TH NOVEMBER C2 - C2 - 305	HEY YOU shifted out going to the first corner and hampered WITCH MISTY which lost a length. MANU RAMA then shifted out over the heels of HOMEBUSH TIARE and bumped with WITCH MISTY.
Race 13	Non Tote TIER 2 - Tier 2 - 305	MIGHTY BAXTER shifted in going to the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH VERONA which made contact with the rail and lost five lengths. HOMEBUSH VERONA was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have triangle and whip muscle pain.
Race 14	Non Tote TIER 2 - Tier 2 - 305	HOMEBUSH ROWDY was slow to begin and settled back and he stayed there throughout the race. CAWBOURNE PUMPER raced wide on the bend covering extra ground.
