Health and Safety comment: Due to a shortage of available vests some handlers were given permission to wear full jackets due to recent medical conditions. All trainers are requested to check their vehicles and return club vests at the end of each race day.

Judicial report: Trainer R Blackburn advised Stewards that contrary to advice given on 30 September TEEMIRO will be given one more start in the South Island before reconsidering the dog's racing future.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C0 - 295	BLACK SAILS (4) and OUR JOHN (5) were both very slow to jump on their debuts. HARRIET'S LAW (2) was badly dragged down into the bend with BUDGIE RIGHT (9) and SACAJAWEA (6) badly hampered in behind. On the home turn an improving BLACK SAILS angled wider on the track pushing FINANCE TOMMO (7) over extra ground.
Race 2	Glenbyre Tavern Dash - C2 - 295	JASPER HAKA (8) was very awkwardly away settling a clear last with SMASH AMY (1) also settling well back. CHARLES FREDRICK (4) was dragged down into the bend causing ZULU DEB (3) to be badly checked and CULVIE BOY (5), CAWBOURNE CLOCK (6) and SMASH AMY to be forced wide. JASPER HAKA was badly held up when improving on the home turn as CULVIE BOY and CHARLES FREDRICK came together in advance of him. Stewards delayed payment to ensure that JASPER HAKA was not denied a fair start and confirmed that the slow beginning was of it's own accord.
Race 3	Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C0 - 520	HOMEBUSH ROCCO (2) ducked inwards on dispatch while wider out MR. ZAFONIC (7) and SUSAN JEWEL (8) were slow to jump. JEWEL APACHE (3) ran inwards in the early stages checking HOMEBUSH ROCCO and DARCY BRASCO (1) who lost ground. Into the first bend COLDRUM (6) was dragged down from behind when in a handy position and lost ground with SUSAN JEWEL being forced wide around her. In behind MR. ZAFONIC clipped the heels of JEWEL APACHE and fell with HOMEBUSH ROCCO badly hampered losing his chance. MR. ZAFONIC, COLDRUM and HOMEBUSH ROCCO were all referred to the vet and cleared of any abnormalities.
Race 4	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C2 - 295	OUT BACK BILL (2) was a touch slow from the traps and was further inconvenienced as SWEET MARYLOU (3) ran inwards with OUT BACK BILL settling last. PHAT PANTS (8) received a slight check from behind into the bend with BOTANY PETE (7) and CEC DIVINE (5) both being tightened and losing ground. On the home turn CONALOO (1) and CEC DIVINE came together on two occasions when in midfield.
Race 5	Christchurch Casino Sprint - C0 - 295	EDELWEISS (5) angled outwards in the early stages checking CUE POWER (6) for a stride. OHOKA TOO SOON (4) then ran outwards with CUE POWER again copping a minor check. HOMEBUSH ZANE (7) crossed quickly to the rail checking SMASH WHO (1) for a stride. OHOKA TOO SOON was held up and lost momentum into the bend. Closer in CHERIE CHERIE (2) and CUE POWER came together. CUE POWER shifted up the track on the home turn pushing OHOKA TOO SOON wider.
Race 6	Hampden Tavern Stakes - C0 - 520	MERCEDES GOLD (6) and ZULU MERCEDES (9) were the last pair on jumping. YOU'RE SO FREE (7) ran inwards checking HOMEBUSH DOBBY (5) in the early stages while closer in MERCEDES GOLD also ran inwards severely checking ZULU CHANEL who settled a distant last as a result. KINLOCH POWER (2) sustained a check as HOMEBUSH DOBBY ran inwards in the run to the first bend. MERCEDES GOLD and ZAHRA MOON (4) both ran wide on the first bend.
Race 7	C.T.V. Dash - C3 - 295	GOLDSTAR CHYNA (4) and QUE TEE PIX (6) were the last pair on jumping. INSPECTOR SPOT (3) angled inwards soon after dispatch checking JACK'S A JEWEL (2) for a stride. Into the bend GOLDSTAR CHYNA attempted to run inwards and became unbalanced and fell with JACK'S A JEWEL, JOHN DORY (8) and QUE TEE PIX receiving checks and losing ground.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C2 - 520	OPAWA BRO (2), AIR FLOW (6) and GOLD VIPA (8) were the last trio on jumping. OPAWA BRO was tightened into the first bend and lost ground. TRUE BLUE STYLE (7) was then checked and lost ground as GOLD VIPA crossed from her outside. OPAWA BRO checked off TRUE BLUE STYLE at the entrance to the back straight and lost ground.
Race 9	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C2 - 295	YALDHURST EDWARD (5) was last on settling. Into the bend AVEC LAMOUR (4) was checked and dropped to the rear as HOMEBUSH PAIGE (6) crossed from wider out.
Race 10	Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Distance - C0d - 645	The siblings OPAWA NATTY (1) and OPAWA HALLY (9) were the last pair on settling. KAREN'S MAGIC (5) angled to the rail into the first bend causing OPAWA HALLY to be tightened and drop to the rear. KAREN'S MAGIC and OPAWA NATTY then came together on two occasions on the bend with OPAWA NATTY making contact with the rail and losing ground. OPAWA NATTY was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C3 - 295	GO TOMMO (1) was last to jump. SMASH EASY (9) ran outwards in the early stages tightening SLEEPER AGENT (5) and GOLDSTAR MARIO (6) who both settled well back. RINGA DING (2) shifted outwards marginally into the bend pushing MIGHTY TWIST (3) and BUSINESS AFFAIR (8) wider on the track. On the home turn MIGHTY TWIST checked outwards off the hind quarters of BUSINESS AFFAIR with SMASH EASY and GOLDSTAR MARIO both being forced very wide.
Race 12	Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Dash - C3 - 295	NEDDY SEAGOON (4) and GENIA HAKA (5) were both tightened in the early stages dropping to the rear. SHEZA GAMBLE (6) then ran inwards checking BANBIT (3) who shifted outwards abruptly checking GENIA HAKA. NEDDY SEAGOON was checked into the bend and lost a length. On the home turn SMOKING MARLEY (2) angled outwards to obtain racing room and pushed SHEZA GAMBLE and NEDDY SEAGOON wider in the process.
