| Race 1 | www.pngreyhounds.kiwi C0 - C0 - 457 | DIGGER SOCKS was slow to begin and settled back. He was then observed to change stride and appeared unbalanced going to the first corner and drifted further behind and eventually finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. DIGGER SOCKS was found to have pectoral muscle pain. SCOTT THE BEST bumped with FAT BOYZ FLYER soon after the start and she then raced wide for the remainder of the race and finished in 6th place. BANJO'S RETREAT clipped a heel of the leader BORIS going into the bend and lost two lengths. GOODTIME MIKE was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral muscle pain. |
| Race 2 | Yella Mustard At Stud C0 Final - C0f - 375 | SMASHED 'EM BRO shifted in abruptly from the start and checked AYRA STARK, PORTOBELLO PATSY and CAWBOURNE JOSH. AYRA STARK recovered quickly and went on to finish in 2nd place but CAWBOURNE JOSH and PORTOBELLO PATSY went back to the rear and they made up some ground and finished in 5th and 7th places. RADIO GOO GOO covered extra ground when racing wide on the bend and into the home straight and finished in 4th place. |
| Race 3 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 375 | LITTLE ARTHUR was very slow to begin losing several lengths and all chance of a dividend placing. WHEELIE BINN was also slow to begin losing three lengths and he then raced very wide throughout but ran on well to finish in 4th place. OPAWA ROMEO which finished in last place was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral muscle pain. |
| Race 4 | Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375 | OTTO BAXTER led in the early and middle stages but began to drift approaching the home turn and was bumped by PHILEAS FOGG and was checked back to last and finished in that position. APPLAUSE shifted out on the home turn and collided with BOOT THE CASH and they were both unbalanced and lost two lengths. |
| Race 5 | No Moore Hassell Petfoods Levin C1 - C1 - 457 | FASHION AND FAME shifted in from the start and INDEFINITE ORDER shifted out and this resulted in COSMIC SCRAMBLE being tightened between them and losing ground. FASHION AND FAME continued to shift in going to the first corner and INDEFINITE ORDER was checked losing ground and she never recovered. FASHION AND FAME lay out onto the hind quarters of WHEELIE GOOD approaching the home turn and eventually checked over that runners heels and blundered losing ground. FASHION AND FAME then recovered to finish in 3rd place and his racing manners will be monitored in future starts. |
| Race 6 | Creative Catering,Awapuni C2 - C2 - 375 | JOEY'S SECRET and MANU RAMA began awkwardly losing ground and they settled back but made up ground to finish 3rd and 5th. WHEELIE RASCAL shifted out going into the bend and forced TOXIC REVENGE to race wide covering extra ground. |
| Race 7 | Steve The Auctioneer Davis C 1/2 - C1/2 - 457 | NECTER and THOU ROMEO collided when the start was made and THOU ROMEO suffered the most and settled at the rear. NECTER shifted out going to the first corner and again made contact with THOU ROMEO and they both lost ground and stayed back for the remainder of the race and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Rose City Motel, Palmerston North C3 - C3 - 375 | BIGTIME CHIP was disputing the lead on the bend when SEMANTICS shifted out slightly and bumped BIGTIME CHIP which was unbalanced and lost ground and she never recovered, finishing in 6th place. |
| Race 9 | Outback Trading Company Ltd C4 - C4 - 375 | COOL HEIR was slow to begin losing two lengths. EMBEE DEE and FREEDOM FLYER collided when the start was made and lost ground. ELLE PACKER was tightened between KAZILLION and ALLEGRO MASTER going into the bend and she lost five lengths and all chance. |
| Race 10 | Manawatu Harness Racing 7th & 9th October C5 - C5 - 457 | ALLEGRO CLASS and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL collided when the start was made and lost ground. |
| Race 11 | Nancy Cobain Heats 13th October C5 - C5 - 375 | BIG JAMESY and CAESAR CHANCE were slow to begin and then bumped soon after and settled back. BIT COIN and FLYING TRANCE bumped on the bend and FLYING TRANCE then went off stride soon after and drifted back to finish several lengths last. She was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a hock injury. |
| Race 12 | Manawatu Cup Heats 13th October C4 - C4 - 457 | PREMIER DIVISION was checked going to the first corner as runners drawn further out shifted in to the rail and PREMIER DIVISION then angled out to go around the field and finished well for 2nd place. When shifting out, PREMIER DIVISION has hampered GIRL PRIDE which lost ground. WALLACE LAD and OPULENT clipped the heels of MERCENARY going into the bend and all three lost momentum for a short distance. |
| Race 13 | Tier 2 C1 - Tier 2 - 375 | REBEL JOE was up in weight by 3.0 kilograms from his last start on 16 July 2014 and this was an intentional increase by the dogs new Trainer. BOWMAN was jostled and checked soon after the start and he went back to last and stayed there to finish in that position. OPAWA LEANNE and BOWMAN both ran wide on the bend and into the straight and covered extra ground. |
