Judicial report: Co-trainer K Taylor advised Stewards that after sustaining a gracilis muscle injury on Friday SWIP AND TEAR has been retired from racing. KINLOCH POWER (S&B Evans) completed a box trial as required by Rule 72.13. LUNAR TOM (J&D Fahey) completed a satisfactory trial as per Rule 81. Trainers J Lane and R Wales were fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when OPAWA DOSH weighed in 1.6 kgs under his last race weight on 8 September. Trainers J Lane and R Wales were fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 after failing to arrange a catcher for BLUSHING BELLE in Race 4. Trainer R Blackburn was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.2 when late to retrieve VINCENT GALLO for Race 5. GIN SLING (A Botherway) was stood down for 3 months (2nd offence) for failing to pursue in Race 2 with this dog also having to complete a satisfactory trial.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	CORPORATE IMAGE (1) was awkwardly away and settled last. CAWBOURNE CRUZE (7) angled inwards into the bend causing tightening to HOMEBUSH DAWN (5) who lost ground with the trailing GOLDSTAR DEEJAY (6) being badly hampered. SHE'S SMASHING (8) was forced wide in this incident. On the home turn DUSTY RIDER (3) and CAWBOURNE CRUZE came together when in midfield.
Race 2	Hurunui Hotel Dash - C1 - 295	This race was delayed after two dogs escaped from the carpark and made their way to the track as the lure was about to move and the dogs were boxed. It was established that one dog had forced its way out of it's van while the other had slipped it's lead in an attempt to chase the first dog. Stewards found no one person to be at fault leading up to this incident. All race dogs were unloaded from the traps while the escaped dogs were captured and returned to the kennel block. JASPER HAKA (3) and TOO MUCH REBEL (5) were the last pair on jumping. MUM'S PRODIGY (7) was tightened into the bend losing ground. HOORAY FOR HAZEL (1) checked outwards on the home turn and checked MR. NOVEMBER. Early in the home straight GIN SLING (4) eased and angled outwards colliding with the hind quarters of TONY'S CHOICE who had reached the lead. This resulted in TONY'S CHOICE being dragged down and losing his chance with HOORAY FOR HAZEL being badly checked as a result. GIN SLING and TONY'S CHOICE were both checked by the vet and cleared of injury. Stewards issued a charge under Rule 80.1.b. against GIN SLING for failing to pursue the lure with this being admitted by Trainer A Botherway. As this was the dog's second indiscretion he was stood down for 3 months and must complete a satisfactory trial. Following this race CALA RAPITA (2) was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 3	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 1 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1	OPAWA SHAIDEN (4), BOOSTIN (3) and COURT THE BELLE (1) were all tightened into the first bend with COURT THE BELLE hitting the rail and losing ground. In the back straight NICKY NOIR (2) angled outwards forcing BOOSTIN' and OPAWA ROB (5) wider on the track. COURT THE BELLE was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 4	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 2 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2	CHILL OUT RALPH (7) was last to jump. On the first bend KNOW SMIGGLE (1) checked outwards off the hind quarters of TEEMIRO (4) and pushed LOUISA'S GIRL (2) and BOTANY BLAKE (6) wider on the track.
Race 5	Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C1 - 295	ZIPPIT SWEETIE (6) was tightened soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. GLENN IS GOODSEY (1) was tightened along the rail into the bend and lost ground. UNRELIABLE ANDY (5) and GLENN IS GOODSEY jostled for a few strides on the home turn. RANGITATA RAIDER (7) ran wide on the home turn losing ground.
Race 6	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 3 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 3	BLUSHING BELLE (4) and OPAWA GAVIN (8) were the last pair on jumping. SCOTSOME POWER (2) stumbled for a stride into the first bend when racing to the outside of HOMEBUSH ROCKY (1) with MEGA SURGE (3) receiving a check and OPAWA GAVIN being forced wide as a result. BOTANY LIZ (6) and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (7) came together into the back straight and lost ground. BOTANY LIZ checked outwards off the back of OPAWA GAVIN on the home turn and lost momentum.
Race 7	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 4 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 4	MR. JOHNNY (7) was a late scratching when found to be unwell when retrieved from the kennels. SHADOW BAXTER (3) ran inwards checking PUKEKO PROWLER (2) and KNOW CLOWN (1). Into the first bend NORMAN JEWEL (4) angled outwards checking OPAWA MARGORIE (10) who lost ground. KNOW CLOWN ran wide around the first bend.
Race 8	Angler's Arms Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH ROWDY (5) ran inwards contacting HAREEBA TIME (4) on dispatch. HOMEBUSH ROWDY then continued to angle to the inside losing ground. CAWBOURNE KIWI (3) and HAREEBA TIME were tightened into the bend dropping to the rear.
Race 9	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 5 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 5	JINJA COOKIE (4) and ELWOOD SENSATION (8) were the last pair on jumping. OPAWA UNO (3) and OPAWA LOI (6) collided in the run to the first bend with OPAWA UNO losing ground. GOLDSTAR MAGIC (2) and OPAWA LOI were both tightened into the first bend losing ground as COME ON DOLLY (7) angled inwards with ELWOOD SENSATION pushed wide as a result.
Race 10	N Z Racing Series Novice Heat 6 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 6	OPAWA OPAL (2) was a stride slow to jump with KNOW JUDGE (3) dropping to the rear in the early stages. OPAWA MESSINI (8) crossed inwards into the first bend contacting THRILLING SOUND (9) with OPAWA MESSINI being turned sideways and losing all momentum. THRILLING SOUND ran outwards as a consequence with OPAWA OPAL and SPEIGHT'S KID (5) being forced wider on the track. OPAWA LACHLAN (4) raced wide in the back straight. WEARS THE GOLD (7) weakened over the concluding stages.
Race 11	C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295	RUNWAY QUEEN (2) and HOMEBUSH ZELDA (3) were the last pair on jumping. HOMEBUSH ZELDA ran inwards in the back straight checking RUNWAY QUEEN for a stride. RUNWAY QUEEN checked abruptly outwards on the home turn as JET TO MARS (6) angled inwards in front of her.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C1 - 295	OHOKA FAITH (4), LAST EXPLORER (6) and CABARITA (7) were involved in jostling in the back straight when racing in tight quarters with this trio dropping to the rear. LAST EXPLORER ran wide into the bend.
