Track: Good The track was presented in very good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Judicial report: ARIZONA SKY which had been stood down for 7 days after racing at Waikato on 18.09.14, was presented to the Vet for re examination under Rule 82.5 and the original stand down was rescinded as the dog was cleared of any abnormalities.

Race 1	Palmerston North Greyhound Racing Club 2014 C0 Heat 1 - C0q - 375 Heat 1	RADIO GOO GOO was up in weight by 1.8 kilograms from its last start on 07.09.14 and this was an intentional increase which was allowed without penalty after a change of Trainer since the bitches last start. COOLABAH BLUE, GUMMY GUMPSTA and WORKING POPPY shifted out going into the bend and GUMMY GUMPSTA and WORKING POPPY continued to shift out to race wide covering extra ground and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. BOTANY CHRIS shifted in going into the bend and checked WHEELIE OVER IT which lost three lengths and went back to the rear.
Race 2	Manawatu Raceway C0 Heat 2 - C0q - 375 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH TED which had been a box first runner, had that endorsement removed from its papers after having been observed to box away without issues in recent starts. PURE LEE and CAWBOURNE WALES were both checked going into the bend and they went back to the rear and stayed there to finish in the last two places.
Race 3	www.racingdogs.co.nz C1 - C1 - 375	MIGHTY BAXTER bumped with WHEELIE GOOD soon after the start and lost two lengths. ALLEGRO MASTER shifted in going into the bend and checked RIJEKA which lost several lengths and she never recovered and finished in last place. WHEELIE GOOD raced a little wide on the bend but recovered to finish well and win the race.
Race 4	Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 457	INDEFINITE ORDER and COSMIC SCRAMBLE bumped together on two occasions soon after the start and both lost ground. They then ran a little wide on the bend covering extra ground.
Race 5	Interislander C1 - C1 - 375	MISS UNIVERSE shifted in from the start and hampered DOGGED DAN which lost ground and settled back. A short distance further on, SHINZIGZAG shifted out and checked VISION AND POWER which also lost ground and settled back and they never recovered and finished at trhe rear.
Race 6	Yella Mustard At Stud C3 Final - C3f - 457	All clear.
Race 7	Kenmore Rugby Under 12 NZ Tour C2 - C2 - 457	CURIOUS LIFE was the slowest to begin but made up ground to be handy going into the bend but racing wide. CURIOUS LIFE was observed to ease short of the line when her position between runners became restricted and this possibly cost her a closer placing than 5th. The winner CAWBOURNE ARIES was nominated as a post race swab but this was cancelled after it was observed that the bitch had been touched by a number of people present at the dias following the race and this could possibly have compromised the swab.
Race 8	Greyhounds As Pets C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	EL JETTA and BIGTIME DASHER became awkwardly positioned in restricted room adjacent to the rail going into the bend and as their positions became tighter, they were checked back to the rear losing three lengths and as a consequence, all chance of a placing.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company Ltd. C3 - C3 - 375	ELLE PACKER shifted in going into the bend and checked SEMANTICS and ANOTHER COVER and they lost ground. ANOTHER COVER then made contact with VINNY DOON which was severely checked losing several lengths and almost fell. SMIRNOFF and VINNIE BAXTER collided entering the home straight and became unbalanced . Soon after,VINNIE BAXTER and ANOTHER COVER bumped together with ANOTHER COVER becoming unbalanced and he lost three lengths and finished in last place. SUPER ZIP ZIP was observed to be lame following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a broken claw. ANOTHER COVER was also referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have toe injuries.
Race 10	Steve The Autioneer Davis C4 - C4 - 375	EMMA MARIE, ALLEGRO MASTER and SIR RICHIE became awkwardly positioned in restricted room going into the bend and they were shuffled back to the rear. ALLEGRO MASTER recovered the best of the three and he finished in 4th place.
Race 11	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C5 - C5 - 375	All clear.
Race 12	No Moore Hassell Petfoods, Levin C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	BACKYARD BULLY was awkwardly placed between OPULENT and TRIDENT going to the first corner and was shuffled back to last and stayed there to finish in that position.
