Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305	BOLT ALLEGRO was the slowest to begin and settled back. WHEELIE RASCAL began well and shared the lead going into the first turn but then raced wide covering extra ground on the bend and this possibly cost her the chance of a closer placing than 4th.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C1 - C1 - 520	ALPINADOR was slow to begin losing three lengths and was in last position until entering the back straight. She then began to make up ground and finished very well to end up in 3rd place.
Race 3	J P PRINT (PETONE) C2 - C2 - 305	ANOTHER COLT was awkwardly placed in restricted room between HOMEBUSH TIARE and MEGA GIRL going into the bend and a short distance further on, was checked and lost ground when HOMEBUSH TIARE was bumped by UNO FLASH and shifted out. ANOTHER COLT lost two lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 4	www.RacingTips.co.nz C2 - C2 - 520	ZAMADDIS LASS and THRILLING AVA bumped soon after the start and THRILLING AVA was shuffled back to the rear and she stayed there throughout the race to finish in the rear group.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 305	HANNIBAL LECTER and JUST A MATE jostled together for a short distance going to the first corner and lost momentum. Soon after, EMPTY BANK and HANNIBAL LECTER also bumped together and lost a little ground. EMPTY BANK and HANNIBAL LECTER bumped going into the bend and they both became unbalanced losing ground and they finished near the rear.
Race 6	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C3 - C3 - 305	STARBURST BLANCH and COSMIC CHOICE collided when the start was made and they lost momentum and settled back. One of the favourites MISS SOFTY started from box 8 and after covering extra ground, she finished well back.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	KAISER MAX and MY LIL LUCIFER collided when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back and stayed there to finish in the last two places. SUMMER TENSION was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have carpus pain.
Race 8	KEENAN CONCRETE C4 - C4 - 520	SPEED LEGEND, MAGIC ARROW, RED CRYSTAL and HELLO ELLO were awkwardly placed in restricted room going into the first corner and they all lost ground. HELLO ELLO was checked and went back to last entering the back straight when GIRL PRIDE improved ahead on the outside. HELLO ELLO shifted in slightly just past the finish line and caused checks to RED CRYSTAL which fell and also SPEED LEGEND. RED CRYSTAL was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution and cleared of injury.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C4 - C4 - 305	STIFF DRINK was slow to begin losing two lengths. LEGERDEMAIN shifted out soon after the start and caused jostling to ROCK ON SPRITE, REBEL CITY and BIT COIN for a short distance. STIFF DRINK shifted out going into the bend and caused checks to REBEL CITY and BIT COIN and they lost two lengths. EMMA MARIE was also hampered in the incident and forced wide into the bend and they finished in the last three places.
Race 10	Lochinvar Marlow Waterloo Cup Ht (Group 1) - C5 - 520	ALWAYS WELCOME began awkwardly and blundered losing four lengths. RIZA DANNY shifted out slightly going into the first bend and bumped ROYAL RUNNER which was momentarily unbalanced. TIFINO and BAD WEEK also bumped in the same area and they too were unbalanced briefly. ALWAYS WELCOME checked off the back of INDIANA IZMIR going into the back straight and lost two lengths.
Race 11	THE ROCK 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	All clear.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C5 - C5 - 305	EXPONENTIAL LILY and WATERBUG jostled to gether for some distance after the start until WATERBUG eventually lost ground. Soon after, WATERBUG and WILD AS ANGELS jostled together going to the first corner and WATERBUG again lost ground.
