Track: Good The track had been power harrowed recently and was a little softer than usual but was in good order.

Judicial report: Trainer L.Ahern was, through her representative, fined $ 100-00 under Rules 68.2 and 68.6 after being late to kennel several Greyhounds for the first eight races on the programme

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	WHEELIE GOOD was up in weight by 3.1 kilograms from its last start on 16.06.14 and this was an intentional increase. ORACLE shifted ground and raced a little erratically and lost his position going into the bend and dropped back to be three lengths last. ORACLE then checked approaching the home turn when BUZZY AS shifted in towards him and then he ran very wide into the straight and finished in last place. ORACLE was stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1. HOMEBUSH BOUNCE shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to DENALI and BUZZY AS and they lost three lengths.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	RANGER CHICK and HOMEBUSH ROCCO began awkwardly and lost three lengths. GUMMY GUMPSTA shifted out over the heels of GOODTIME HELEN going into the bend and this resulted in a check to LENNY MAC and they both lost three lengths and all chance.
Race 3	www.RacingTips.co.nz c0 Ht1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	BORIS shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to CAWBOURNE WALES, SHEZA HUM DINGA, HOMEBUSH MISHA, BOTANY CHRIS and HOMEBUSH SPOOK and they lost varying amounts of ground with CAWBOURNE WALES the most affected and he settled in last place. CAWBOURNE WALES then raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished near the rear.
Race 4	J P Print (Petone) C0 Ht2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH BUCK began very awkwardly losing three lengths but he recovered very well to win the race. SMASHED 'EM BRO shifted in going into the first bend and checked FEAR MARINA, SNIFF OF BRANDY and WORKING POPPY and they all lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE JOSH bumped SCOTT THE BEST onto LITTLE PROPHET going into the first bend and they ran wide losing ground. The favourite SMASHED 'EM BRO led in the early and middle stages but appeared to tire on the final bend and drifted to finish in 7th place. FEAR MARINA finished in last place and was referred to the Vet at the Handlers request and found to have a tricep muscle injury.
Race 5	Liquorland Wanganui C0 - C0 - 305	MR. ZAFONIC began awkwardly losing four lengths. NO PARKING shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to DOGGED DENNIS and PORTOBELLO PATSY who went back to the rear. ALPHA FLAHERTY drifted soon after the start and then raced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment and no stand down was ordered but the bitch has now been retired.
Race 6	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE CROUCH, MIGHTY BAXTER and TO MARRI STYLE bumped together when the start was made, lost ground and settled at the rear. MIGHTY BAXTER and TE MAARI STYLE bumped together on the first bend and lost three lengths.
Race 7	Wanganui Chronicle C1 - C1 - 305	VISION AND POWER was the slowest to begin but he recovered well to make up ground and finished in 3rd place. VEE MAN SPARKY shifted out from the start and hampered ANOTHER PLANE and YALDHURST EDWARD for a short distance. ANOTHER PLANE, BOLT ALLEGRO and HOMEBUSH BARABAS brushed together going to the first corner and they became unbalanced and lost ground.
Race 8	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	FORTIS FIONA and WHY OH WHY came together soon after the start and jostled for a short distance. OPAWA ROMEO shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to FORTIS FIONA, CLASSY ZARA and CAWBOURNE MALKY and they all lost ground with FORTIS FIONA the most affected and she almost fell.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 520	The start of this race was delayed by 6 minutes after a complaint be a Handler regarding a section of the track. However, after an inspection the Stewards were satisfied that the track was safe for racing and the meeting continued. SHADOW BAXTER was a little slow to begin but recovered well to finish in 4th place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	The start was put back by 4 minutes after the holdup in the previous race. PUMA PANTS shifted out from the start and BOTANY SEL shifted in and this resulted in tightening and checks to PSEUDONYM,JASPER HAKA, TROJAN TROY and TAIKOREA LASS and they lost verying amounts of ground with TAIKOREA LASS the most affected and she tailed the field throughout the race.
Race 11	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	WHERE'S RICAN and BLACK MAGIC ROCK collided and lost ground when the start was made. HOMEBUSH MARLOW was checked going into the bend and lost three lengths. SILVER TOKAAM checked off the back of WHERE'S RICAN going into the bend losing several lengths and he tailed the field home and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a carpus injury.
Race 12	Book Your Function @ Hatrick C2 - C2 - 305	MISS SOFTY was hampered going into the bend and lost two lengths when SPOT ON MAGGIE shifted out slightly and a short distance further on, BIGTIME CHIP shifted out and caused a check to MISS SOFTY and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 13	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	All clear.
Race 14	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	BELLE CADEAU, FORTIS MEMORIES and UNO CHARM jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they all lost ground with BELLE CADEAU the most affected and she went back to last.
