Judicial report: The connections of ROCKWOOD ARCHIE, who was stood down on 2 September for failing to pursue the lure, applied to the Judicial Control Authority for a review of the decision as per Rule 92.20. This review was heard at Riccarton on 6 September with the JCA upholding the decision of Stewards. Accordingly the dog is stood down until 29 September and scratched from Race 8 at today's meeting. SLEEPER AGENT (A Bradshaw) was ordered to complete a satisfactory trial as per Rule 81 after the running of Race 10.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	MULL IT OVER (5) was checked in the early stages as MR. NOVEMBER (6) crossed from his outside. OHOKA FAITH (2) was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground running outwards and hampering SPIDER GIRL (8) with MR. NOVEMBER being pushed wider on the track. OHOKA FAITH was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Dash - C1 - 295	RANGITATA RAIDER (7) was awkward to box in this event with this dog placed on the box first list for his immediate starts. OPAWA LUCKY (1) was a clear last on jumping. RANGITATA RAIDER was tightened in the initial stages as OUR CHARLOTTE (8) ran inwards and UMAGA RAMA (6) shifted outwards. YALDHURST EDWARD (5) ran inwards contacting GANACHE (4) and SLINGO (3) in the early stages. SLINGO ran outwards checking YALDHURST EDWARD for a stride in the back straight. UMAGA RAMA ran inwards into the bend forcing OPAWA LUCKY to hit the rail and lose ground. On the bend the pacemaking OUR CHARLOTTE was badly dragged down from behind and together with the trailing UMAGA RAMA both lost their chances at this stage. OPAWA LUCKY and OUR CHARLOTTE were both referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Garden City Chem-Dry Stakes - C1 - 520	HOMEBUSH LUCIFER (6) was tightened in the early stages and dropped to the rear. NICKY NOIR (4) was placed in restricted quarters in the run to the first bend and received a nasty check dropping back through the field with HOMEBUSH LUCIFER again receiving a check. This pair were both referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH ROWDY (4) and TONY'S CHOICE (6) were the last pair on settling. MEMPHIS GIRL (2) was tightened and lost momentum on the turn as SWEET MARYLOU (5) crossed to the rail in front of her. TONY'S CHOICE ran wide into the bend. Just short of the post ALL ABOUT JAZZ (1) was badly dragged down with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormality.
Race 5	Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA MESSINI (1) and OPAWA HALLY (2) came together for a stride out of the boxes with OPAWA HALLY and TODDY'S A FLYER (7) being the last pair on settling. KNOW SMIGGLE (5) shifted up the track in the early stages pushing SHADOW BAXTER (8) wider. ANIU (4) was beaten to the first bend by OPAWA ROSIE (6) with ANIU losing some momentum and running outwards when crossed.
Race 6	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	QUATTRO (6) was last to jump. KENNY'S COMET (3) was forced wide on the home turn as HARPER'S BIZARRE (7) angled wider on the track.
Race 7	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW SOLUTION (8) was the last to jump. BLUSHING BELLE (7) and COME ON DOLLY (6) bumped for a stride in the early stages with COME ON DOLLY then running inwards coming together with CAWBOURNE MIAMI (5). BLUSHING BELLE and COME ON DOLLY ran wide around the first bend. OPAWA MARJORIE (4) was tightened out of the back straight and brushed the rail for a stride losing ground.
Race 8	Protexin Sprint Final - C1f - 295	GOLDSTAR BRIDIE (3) and TOO MUCH REBEL (5) were the last pair on jumping. INSPECTOR SPOT (8) ran inwards checking CAWBOURNE KIWI (9) in the early stages. INSPECTOR SPOT continued his inwards movement in the back straight causing STOCK TAKER (4) and HOMEBUSH ARIEL (6) to be badly tightened. On the home turn TOO MUCH REBEL ran inwards with GIGANAIRE (1) shifting away from the rail at this stage. GIGANAIRE was then contacted from behind by GOLDSTAR BRIDIE causing GIGANAIRE to run outwards sharply and badly check STOCK TAKER, HOMEBUSH ARIEL and CAWBOURNE KIWI with this quartet losing their chances.
Race 9	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520	AXEL GRINDER (7) and KNOW JUDGE (6) both crossed quickly from the outside causing tightening to JINJA COOKIE (5) and SCOTSOME POWER (4) in the early stages. This pressure continued into the bend causing OPAWA ROB (3) and OPAWA BRO (1) to be squeezed up and drop to the rear. At the end of the back straight JINJA COOKIE received a check when racing to the outside of KNOW JUDGE and lost ground. OPAWA BRO was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 10	Glenbyre Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	SEA SPRAY BORIS (2) and OHOKA JOKA (8) were last to jump. NORMAN JEWEL (3) ran outwards in the early stages coming together with ZORBA THE GREEK (4) and GYPSY HUNTER (5). GYPSY HUNTER ran inwards checking ANOTHER PLANE (1) in the back straight. OHOKA JOKA received a check on the home turn and lost ground. On the home turn SLEEPER AGENT (6) angled inwards coming together with GYPSY HUNTER and then shifting outwards as a result of this pushing ZORBA THE GREEK wider as a result. SLEEPER AGENT was observed to turn her head for a stride when in the clear in the early stages of the run home. After hearing submissions from the connections of SLEEPER AGENT Stewards ordered that this bitch complete a satisfactory trial as per Rule 81.
Race 11	C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295	GIN SLING (2) was hard to box in this event. ELWOOD SENSATION (6) was last to jump. CABARITA (4) ran inwards in the early stages checking LEIGH SERENE (3) who dropped to the rear. CABARITA was tightened into the bend losing ground. ELWOOD SENSATION raced wide on the home turn when improving.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH ROCKY (2) and GLENN IS GOODSEY (8) were the last pair on jumping. In the initial stages CRONK WENT PLONK (3) ran inwards colliding with HAREEBA TIME (1). HOMEBUSH ROCKY and CRONK WENT PLONK raced in restricted quarters on the bend as ANOTHER ANOTHER (7) angled inwards.
