| Race 1 | Palmerston North Greyhound Racing Club 2014 C0 Heat 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1 | TEPIRITA MEGA was slow to jump (4L). BORIS angled in abruptly over the initial stages and bumped with FASHION AND FAME, with BORIS then shifting out crowding LITTLE PROPHET out onto HOMEBUSH MELVIN. BORIS shifted out marginally along the back straight with SPACE CAPTAIN which was racing to the outside becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BORIS. NAVAJO BLUE raced wide throughout. HOMEBUSH MELVIN which finished a distance at the rear was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have a sling muscle injury. |
| Race 2 | Manawatu Raceway C0 Heat 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 2 | HOMEBUSH MISHA was slow to begin. DARK FAERYTALES was crowded then checked entering the bend between TRENDY LASS and CAWBOURNE COUCH which shifted in. DARK FAERYTALES was then further hampered and went back onto the trailing GOODTIME MIKE which was unable to avoid the heels of DARK FAERYTALES. CAWBOURNE COUCH made the bend awkwardly and bumped with TRENDY LASS. CAWBOURNE COUCH then shifted out and made contact with WALL AGE. |
| Race 3 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C0 - C0 - 375 | AYRA STARK and SILVER TOKAAM came together and made heavy contact on jumping away. MY ENZO was slow to begin. HOMEBUSH TED shifted in making the bend forcing AYRA STARK into the line of HOMEBUSH MAGIC which was checked losing ground. AYRA STARK shifted out and bumped with hindquarters of HOMEBUSH TED entering the home straight, with HOMEBUSH TED becoming briefly unbalanced. SILVER TOKAAM changed stride and made the bend entering the home straight awkwardly. When questioned into the improved performance of SILVER TOKAAM, Trainer T McCracken reported that in his opinion the greyhound had benefited from a lengthy spell after it's first preparation and had recently trialled up well since moving to his kennel. |
| Race 4 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy C1 - C1 - 375 | MACGYVER RAMA began awkwardly and rounding the bend improved up onto the heels of CAWBOURNE ARIES, having to shift wider. CHELSEA'S BEAUTY raced wide throughout. |
| Race 5 | Interislander C1 - C1 - 457 | COSMIC SCRAMBLE shifted in abruptly from the boxes tightening VERSATILE RICHIE and HILL OF GRACE, with both runners losing ground. Approaching the bend TROJAN TROY had to shift out to avoid the heels of KISSING GWYNETH which shifted in. This resulted in the trailing PSEUDONYM becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of TROJAN TROY, having to shift wider to avoid heels. KISSING GWYNETH continued to shift in and shortly after hampered COSMIC SCRAMBLE which was crowded for several strides. |
| Race 6 | Yella Mustard At Stud C2 - C2 - 375 | CAWBOURNE PENNY clipped the heel of I'M A CATCH rounding the bend and fell heavily losing all chance. CAWBOURNE PENNY after regaining it's footing, finished at the lure and was referred to the Veterinarian which found injuries to both pectoral muscles. |

| Race 8 | Greyhounds As Pets C3 - C3 - 375 | JACKANATOR was slow to jump. ALAMEIN KAT jumped inwards abruptly from the boxes making heavy contact with ALLEGRO MASTER which in turn bumped with BOSTON STRIKE. Shortly after ALLEGRO MASTER shifted out into the line of OPAWA TOKEN which became awkwardly placed on the heels of ALLEGRO MASTER. BOSTON STRIKE ran wide entering the home straight forcing FLYING BLAKE over extra ground. JACKANATOR was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have a Carpus injury. |
| Race 9 | Advanced Racing Series Final - NZRSf - 457 | KNOW DANGER was slow to jump. CLONE YOUR OWN shifted out off the heels of MAGIC BOLT in the early stages and in doing so, bumped the hindquarters of BIGTIME DASHER which was briefly unbalanced. JIBBAJABBA JEWEL was checked going into the bend when RODRIGUEZ shifted in. Also affected was MAGIC BOLT which raced in restricted room for several strides. |
| Race 10 | Thomas Russell Fundraiser Day Sunday 7th September C4 - C4 - 375 | COOL HEIR was slow to begin. ENHANCED and KNOW PRIDE were briefly crowded in the initial stages between CRYSTAL WAVE which shifted out and LOST IN LIGHT which shifted in. OSCAR TUIVASA shifted in approaching the bend forcing KNOW PRIDE in onto COOL HEIR, with KNOW PRIDE being buffeted then crowded losing ground. Shortly after COOL HEIR shifted out off the heels of OSCAR TUIVASA and in doing so, forced ENHANCER wider. Following the race, the connections of LOST IN LIGHT requested that the greyhound be examined by the Veterinarian which found a Gracilis injury. |
| Race 11 | Steve The Auctioneer Davis C5 - C5 - 375 | GUS was slow to jump and entering the home straight, ran wide covering extra ground. Rounding the bend, COSMIC FURY improved up onto the heels of TALK IT OVER and shifted wider losing momentum. |
| Race 12 | Outback Trading Company Ltd Jackpot Dog C4 - C4 - 457 | Racing along the back straight VALAIN'S FLYER shifted out onto the heels of SPEED LEGEND and clipped that runners heel and blundered. JOHNNY RITZA was crowded entering the back straight when TRIDENT shifted out. JOHNNY RITZA then became awkwardly placed on the heels of WALLACE LAD, clipping that runners heel and blundering. |
