| Race 1 | Carol's TABs Stakes - C2 - 527 | ZAMDATO (2) and THREE RIVERS (9) were last to leave the boxes. Soon after leaving the boxes BOSS APPEAL (8) shifted in making contact with JOKER MAN (7) who came together with BLOO BLOOMERS (6) with these three runners then jostling for a distance racing toward the first turn. JOKER MAN then lost ground entering the first bend going back onto THREE RIVERS. These runners were then further inconvenienced when OSTAPCHUCK (1), who was racing in restricted room, shifted out, with these three runners racing wide for a short distance losing ground as a result. |
| Race 2 | Racing Greyhound Breeders (NZ) Ltd Stakes - C0 - 527 | HINUERA GIRL (9) began awkwardly shifting out. DARK GARNAH (5) was crowded leaving the boxes when BIGTIME FLO (6) shifted in. SUMMIT ROCK (2) and LIGEIRO (3) made contact racing into the first bend. BOSS WAVE (7) raced wide around the first bend. Leaving the back straight DARK GARNAH got on the heels of HINUERA GIRL becoming unbalanced and falling. Hampered, becoming unbalanced, and losing ground as a result was LIGEIRO, who was trailing this runner at the time. DARK GARNAH was referred to the vet for assessment which revealed no obvious abnormalities. LIGEIRO was referred to the vet for assessment following this event which revealed this dog to be showing signs of soreness in the left for wrist with a 14 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 3 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C3 - 318 | RUN KAYLA RUN (1) shifted out soon after leaving the boxes making contact with CALL ME BLUE (3). RUN KAYLA RUN gave ground racing into the first turn when in restricted room to the inside of ADDICTED (4) who angled in. |
| Race 4 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C4 - 318 | JUNIOR WHAT (6) was last to leave the boxes. D'OR FILLE (5) and HOT KING COLE (4) came together shortly after leaving the boxes. LOOKS ALL GOOD (8) and PINK BOUQUET (7) came together soon after the start and jostled for a distance with D'OR FILLE also coming together with PINK BOUQUET racing down the back straight. Racing into the first turn HOT KING COLE (4) angled in making contact with the running rail becoming briefly unbalanced and losing ground as a result. D'OR FILLE shifted out entering the first turn briefly inconveniencing JUNIOR WHAT. HOT KING COLE was referred to the vet for assessment which revealed a minor laceration on the left elbow with a 5 day stand down imposed. Following this event LOOKS ALL GOOD was referred to the vet at the trainers request after cooling down and found to have muscle pain with a 14 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 5 | Sel's TAB Mangere Stakes - C1 - 527 | CAWBOURNE ALPHA (1) and THRILLING DYNAMO (4) were last to leave the boxes. Entering the first turn COSMIC WARRA (6) and THRILLING DYNAMO were tightened and hampered between OPAWA CRUSHER (2) who was shifting out and ATOM BOMB (7) who was shifting in. As a result ATOM BOMB, THRILLING DYNAMO, COSMIC WARRA and LET'S GO LETTIE (8), who was racing to the outside of these runners, were all hampered and unbalanced losing ground. |
| Race 6 | Trophies Plus Series Final - C1f - 318 | RENROY (8) and GOT AIR (7) came together leaving the boxes. WHAT'S UP (6) was tightened and inconvenienced between RENROY and MISS VEYRON (5) racing down the back straight. MISS VEYRON then shifted in making solid contact with MARAMARUA JACK (2) who was hampered shifting in making contact with PROCRASTINATION (1) who was also hampered with both runners becoming unbalanced and losing ground as a result. GOT AIR was momentarily inconvenienced when shifting off the heels of RENROY in the final straight. |
| Race 7 | $30,000 Pick6 Stakes - C3 - 527 | YOU'RE LUCKY (6) was slow away. YOUR SAY (3) and COLD TURKEY (4) came together leaving the boxes with YOUR SAY briefly unbalanced and COLD TURKEY losing ground. MISS VELOCETTE (1) and YOUR SAY came together entering the first bend with YOUR SAY then shifting out dictating UNCLE ROMILLY (7) wider for a distance. COLD TURKEY made contact with YOU'RE LUCKY rounding the final bend when looking to obtain clear racing room. |
| Race 8 | Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C1 - 527 | LARTO (2) and IT'S THE DREAM (3) came together leaving the boxes with both runners unbalanced. IT'S THE DREAM then shifted out making solid contact with TEMPERATE KING (6) who was unbalanced. TEMPERATE KING then shifted in abruptly, also taking IT'S THE DREAM inwards, making solid contact with LARTO with both runners unbalanced. VERSATILE RICHIE (7) had to steady when held up on the heels of ATOONGA AIR (8) rounding the final bend. Entering the final straight TEMPERATE KING shifted out off the heels of ATOONGA AIR dictating VERSATILE RICHIE wider. |
| Race 9 | Lochinvar Marlow Stakes - C4 - 527 | THRILLING STYLE (6), AUNTY MERL (7) and THIS TIME PEDRO (4) were all slow away. AUNTY MERL was crowded entering the first bend to the inside of THREAT, having to steady, then shifting out to race wide rounding the first bend. THIS TIME PEDRO and THRILLING STYLE came together rounding the first bend. Racing into the back straight THRILLING STYLE got on the heels of JELLY GEM (1) who became unbalanced for several strides losing ground and momentum. THREAT (8) and THIS TIME PEDRO came together for several strides rounding the final bend. |
| Race 10 | Congratulations Peter Earley Media Award Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | JONESY'S FORTUNE (9) and KIKI RHODE (3) came together leaving the boxes with both runners unbalanced losing ground. PAR (6) and TAYLA ROSE (7) made contact for several strides after the start. JONESY'S FORTUNE and PAR came together entering the first bend with both runners momentarily unbalanced. |
| Race 11 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C5 - 318 | JOSH HART (6) was slow away. ROTOVEGAS BOSS (2) and RASSO (9) came together leaving the boxes. Entering the first bend BOTANY DOWNS (5) lost ground and momentum after making contact with the hindquarters of HARVEY NICHOLS (1). LITTLE RASCAL (8) then shifted in into the line of HARVEY NICHOLS (1) who got on this runners heels. As a result LITTLE RASCAL was unbalanced losing ground and HARVEY NICHOLS shifted out. Several strides later ROTOVEGAS BOSS (2) raced up on the heels of LITTLE RASCAL who was dragged down and almost fell. At the same time RASSO (9) raced up onto the hindquarters of BOTANY DOWNS (5) with both runners badly unbalanced losing ground and momentum. Also inconvenienced as a result was JOSH HART who was trailing these runners. LITTLE RASCAL was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injuries. |
| Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2 - 318 | RUN MISCHIEF RUN (5) and GEM'S CONQUEST (6) came together soon after the start. Racing down the back straight CREME DA GENES (7) angled in dictating GEM'S CONQUEST in onto RUN MISCHIEF RUN, who lost ground, then in onto CHEVY IMPALA (4). Racing toward the first turn GEM'S CONQUEST became unbalanced after getting on the heels of CREME DA GENES. GEM'S CONQUEST then raced wide for the remainder of the race. |
| Race 13 | Non Tote Sprint - Tier 2 - 318 | BENGHAZI (1) was slow away. KNOCKA SLOY (9) jumped in the air at the start losing several lengths. Soon after leaving the boxes STILL DON'T KNOW (8) shifted in crowding IKE JONES (7) in onto BIT ROSO (6) who then shifted in making contact with SOUTH BAY DREAM (5). |
