Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Judicial report: SEVEN IRON was scratched on the instructions of the Stewards due to being ineligible as the dog is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing due to an unsatisfactory performance at its previous race start on 04.05.2014. On that occasion, the Stewards were advised that SEVEN IRON was to be retired so a satisfactory trial was not considered at that time.
ISABELLE DOMAIN was scratched due to an apparent injury. However, when presented on Raceday, the examining Vet was unable to find the injury specified by the Handler and as a result, Mr J.McInerney the Trainer was charged under Rule 64.2 with scratching without valid reason and after the Stewards were advised that the charge was not admitted, the matter is to be referred to the Judicial Control Authority for determination. ISABELLE DOMAIN was stood down for 28 days under the provisions of Rule 64.6.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	AZURE DREAMS and HEY YOU shifted in from the start and caused crowding to HOMEBUSH ENVY, MISS SARA, MARIAH and ALLEGRO MASTER with MARIAH, MISS SARA and HOMEBUSH ENVY the most affected and they settled at the rear. MISS SARA galloped on the heels of HOMEBUSH ENVY going into the bend with both losing ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	NEWTON WILLOW and RIBA LORDA jostled together and lost momentum soon after the start and settled at the rear. FLIRT WITH ME, RUN MISCHIEF RUN and NEWTON WILLOW bumped together going into the first turn and they were all unbalanced for a few strides on the bend and stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 3	J P PRINT (PETONE) C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3	DAISY'S BOI, CARLY RAE RAMA and HOMEBUSH VERONA all bagan awkwardly losing three lengths. DAISY'S BOI recovered quickly and went forward but galloped on the heels of COSMIC RASCAL going into the bend and lost three lengths and never recovered. COSMIC RASCAL was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have hock pain. CARLY RAE RAMA galloped on the heels of LEGEND BEE on the bend and they both lost ground and then raced wide into the straight covering extra ground. ZAMADDIS LASS also raced wide but finished well for 3rd placing.
Race 4	www.RacingTips.co.nz C3 - C3 - 305	ATE PIZZA shifted in soon after the start and jostled with BOTANY DAVE and SMART COOKIE with BOTANY DAVE the most affected. VINNY DOON, SMART COOKIE and JILL SPRITE raced in close formation going into the bend and JILL SPRITE raced over the back of SMART COOKIE and collided with VINNY DOON which was severely checked and was classed as falling. All three lost several lengths and finished in the last three places. VINNY DOON was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have back muscle pain.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 305	JUST A MATE began awkwardly losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race and finished in last place.
Race 6	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES 5TH 12TH AND 19TH DECEMBER C2 - C2 - 520	OPAWA CUDDLES checked over the heels of OPAWA JEN going into the first corner and shifted out abruptly checking ALPINADOR which was forced wide and lost ground. THAT'S KING checked off the back of PADDY BAXTER entering the home straight and shifted out bumping ALL ABOUT AMY which was forced wide.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305	CALL ME RALPH and CIDER DRINKA were a little slow to begin. BLUE SENIOR checked off the heels of LEADFOOT LENNY going into the bend and went back onto CALL ME RALPH and they both lost ground.
Race 8	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C5 - C5 - 305	DEATHSTAR, OPAWA SISTER and WILD AS ANGELS jostled together for a short distance on the bend and lost momentum. SHAGA BANGA BANG was observed to shorten stride going to the first corner and he then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths behind the 2nd last runner. SHAGA BANGA BANG was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have triangle and iliopsoas muscle pain.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C5 - C5 - 305	ALMOST GOT IT began awkwardly losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. BAD WEEK shifted in slightly and crowded STEVIE'S MAGIC going into the bend and STEVIE'S MAGIC lost two lengths and was not able to make up the lost ground.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	CAWBOURNE WAR was awkwardly positioned between runners going into the first corner and went back and out hampering SPEED LEGEND and they both lost ground. CAWBOURNE WAR recovered well after the incident and made up ground to finish in 3rd place.
Race 11	THE ROCK 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 305	COSMIC CHOICE and MISS MCFLY collided when the start was made and MISS MCFLY lost ground and settled back. DOLLY PEG, LOST IN LIGHT and COSMIC CHOICE jostled together for some distance in the back straight and all three lost three lengths.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4 - C4 - 305	The start was delayed when ROCK ON SPRITE took sometime to load correctly and the dogs future box manners will be closely monitored. KAZILLION shifted in from the start and hampered HOMEBUSH CRASH which settled back. SHEIK 'EM UP was checked on the bend losing several lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
