Judicial report: After making inquiries into an incident that occurred following the running of Race 11 at the CGRC meeting on 19th August 2014, Trainer M Grant was issued with, and admitted a charge under Rule 88.1.o in that he misconducted himself by directing abusive language towards another Licenced person. This hearing will be heard at a date to be fixed by the J.C.A.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	EDITORIAL (1) was last to jump. JACK'S A JEWEL (7) ran inwards in the initial stages checking OPAWA LEAN MEAT (9) for a stride. TRUMPED UP (5) then angled outwards checking JACK'S A JEWEL. On the bend THUMB PRINT TONY (10) was pushed outwards which in turn shifted JACK'S A JEWEL further up the track. MARBELLA (8) lost ground on the home turn with KNOW WISDOM (3) angling off her back to obtain clear racing room. After the finishing line the brushes came adrift from the lure meaning that the lure driver had no control with the lure being pushed for an extra 100 metres. All dogs were checked post race and found to be free of injury. The connections of the winner DEANNE'S MAGIC (2) advised that a downgrading to Class 3 was the reason for dog's rapid improvement.
Race 2	racingdogs.co.nz Dash - C4 - 295	IRISH BLUE (7) was slow to jump. RICK'S TERRA (3) was dragged down into the bend by MOTLEY MAN (1) with both dogs drifting back through the field. This caused checks to FANTASTIC FOUR (2) and IRISH BLUE with EXCUSE PLEASE (6) falling. EXCUSE PLEASE was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormality.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C3 - 520	CAWBOURNE MERC (3) was last to jump with SHEEZA FLOWER (5) also settling well back. STARBURST CLEMMY (1) was tightened into the first bend. KNOW CERTAINTY (4) angled outwards into the bend pushing KNOW SECURITY (7) wider on the track. RAMBUNCTIOUS (2) was checked into the back straight and lost a length with SHEEZA FLOWER having to race wide to avoid this runner.
Race 4	Mamaja At Stud Dash - C3 - 295	ECKLES (7) ran inwards sharply in the early stages causing tightening to CHURCHILL CHASER (6), RITE ROUND RANGE (5), CAMRAY (4) and MCJOPSON (3) who all lost ground. ECKLES then checked outwards when improving into the bend and lost momentum.
Race 5	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C5 - 295	This race delayed by one minute at the request of Raceday Control. KNOW ADVANTAGE (1) and ROQETTE (2) were the last pair from the traps with MARY MARLOW (8) also settling well back. MER DE NOMS (7) became awkwardly placed between runners into the bend and lost ground.
Race 6	Clarkson Sign Studio Distance Feature - C2d - 645	WHAT I LIKE (8) was last to jump with KNOW AMBITION (1) was awkwardly away from the inside. GOLDSTAR BELLA (5) and BLUSHING BELLE (6) brushed together for a stride in the early stages. KNOW AMBITION angled marginally outwards in the run down the home straight on the first occasion pushing JINJA POWER (4) a touch wider.
Race 7	The Turf Bar Sprint - C3 - 295	GOLDSTAR BOMBER (8) was last to jump. LA FONTAINE (6) ran inwards in the back straight tightening WAIMAK DAVE (5), VOREDA (4) and BIG MUDDY (3). On the home turn GOLDSTAR BOMBER angled inwards coming together with KNOW TRUST (7) for a stride. Following this event KNOW TRUST was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 8	Racing Greyhound Breeders (NZ) Ltd Stakes - C4 - 520	OPAWA JED (2) and HIS LORDSHIP (4) were the last pair on settling. IDOL GIRL (8) and JINJA TURTLE (7) both ran a touch wide around the first bend. HIS LORDSHIP was checked for a stride on the first bend. OPAWA WEBBY (1) was tightened at the end of the back straight and dropped to the rear.
Race 9	Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C5 - 295	PLAGIARISM (1) and KERAMUS (2) were slow to jump with CAWBOURNE QUEEN (5) jumping inwards and stumbling also settling well back. MY MATE SPARROW (6) angled inwards into the bend causing a check to PLAGIARISM who then ran outwards pushing KERAMUS and CAWBOURNE QUEEN over extra ground. CAWBOURNE QUEEN was referred to the vet for assessment and found to be free of injury. SMASH RUMOUR (4) was also checked by the vet post race.
Race 10	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C5 - 295	ONLY GOT TIME (3) was a clear last at the jump with DRYSDALE (8) also settling well back. BLONDE TORI (6) ran inwards as STAR DREAMER (2) angled outwards in the back straight resulting in STARBURST TERRY (4) and ATTACK WIDE (5) both losing ground. ATTACK WIDE was then dragged down for a stride with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. In the home straight STAR DREAMER shifted outwards placing BLONDE TORI in restricted room.
Race 11	Johnny Midnight At Stud Stakes - C5 - 520	UNSHAKEN (4) was last to jump. JINJARANGO (3) angled inwards in the early stages tightening CAWBOURNE AXE (2) and CAPTAIN'S CHOICE (1). Into the first bend UNSHAKEN ran outwards and came together with BOTANY KEVIN (7) who in turn pushed OPAWA STRETCH (8) wider on the track. UNSHAKEN also lost ground at this point.
Race 12	Snow-e Muscle, Energy and Fertility Dash - C4 - 295	DILLMANSTOWN (3) was last to jump. CAWBOURNE DASHER (4) received a check into the bend when attempting to improve into a marginal gap and lost ground. The connections of the winner KETUT (2) advised that a downgrade was the reason for today's improvement with this dog having won three times when on the downgrade from Class 5 in recent times.
