Race Number Race Name Incident Report
Race 1 Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 KERAMUS GIRL (5) and MR NOVEMBER (6) had their stride shortened in the early stages when GOLDSTAR DEEJAY (7) shifted ground inwards. AXEL FOLEY (3) blundered and lost ground in the early stages when checked between SWEET MARYLOU (4) and BLICKLING BRIDGE (2). TURBO TUNDRA (1) shifted outwards on the turn causing a slight check to the improving MR NOVEMBER which was taken back onto GOLDSTAR DEEJAY (7) who was shifted wider and lost some ground.
Race 2 Carol's T.A.B. Stakes Heat 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 DUSTY RIDER (6) and OPAWA DOSH (5) were crowded in the early stages between SCOTSOME POWER (4) and BOTANY SEL (7). OPAWA DOSH was taken inwards by SCOTSOME POWER to make contact with KATIE ATE IT (3) racing towards the first bend. CHILL OUT RALPH (1) was held up on the final bend between KATIE ATE IT and DUSTY RIDER. CHILL OUT RALPH then shifted outwards to continue to improve and in doing so made contact with the hind quarters of DUSTY RIDER which was turned inwards. When questioned with regard to the improved performance of GOLDSTAR JEANIE co-trainer S Evans explained the dog was racing on a drop back and had benefitted from jumping well and removing any chance of being interfered with.
Race 3 Happy 80th Birthday Ray Adcock Sprint - C1 - 295 SEA SPRAY BORIS (1) and OHOKA STRIKA (3) were slightly slower to begin. ANOTHER PLANE (5) and SLINGO (6) were buffeted between ALL ABOUT JAZZ (4) and INCREASING (8) over the early stages. INCREASING shifted down towards the rail racing towards the bend and crowded ALL ABOUT JAZZ and SLINGO which were taken inwards. As a result of this OHOKA STRIKA was became poorly placed without suitable racing room and fell to the track. This caused a considerable check to SEA SPRAY BORIS who lost ground. A post race Veterinary examination of OHOKA STRIKA showed the dog had sustained no injuries.
Race 4 Carol's T.A.B. Stakes Heat 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2 NICKY NOIR (2) and ARCHIE'S COMET (4) were slow to begin. NICKY NOIR was tightened racing into the first bend by QUATTRO (5) and OPAWA MESSINI (6). Shortly after NICKY NOIR checked off the heels of OPAWA MESSINI and collided with ARCHIE'S COMET. ARCHIE'S COMET, QUATTRO and NICKY NOIR came together rounding the final bend.
Race 5 Christchurch Casino Dash - C1 - 295 GLENN IS GOODSEY (3) and TONY'S CHOICE (4) both came up with the lids and began slowly in consequence. In the early stages KNOW KNOWING (6) shifted inwards and dictated GIN SLING (5) across the path of BIZARRO (2) onto HOMEBUSH SPIKE (1) causing an inconvenience to all three dogs. On the turn OHOKA HART (8) improved down the track and checked AVEC LAMOUR (7) onto GIN SLING with AVEC LAMOUR losing considerable ground.
Race 6 Carol's T.A.B. Stakes Heat 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3 BOOSTIN (6) was taken inwards by UNRELIABLE ANDY (7) through the opening straight. UNRELIABLE ANDY made contact with the heels of BOOSTIN racing into the bend which affected the gait of both dogs for a short distance. OPAWA GOODIE shifted outwards after this due to being crossed by GOLDSTAR MAGIC and that resulted in BOOSTIN and UNRELIABLE ANDY again being inconvenienced.
Race 7 Shirley Pet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295 OHOKA JOKA (4) was slow to begin. HARPER'S BIZARRE (1) after beginning well was dragged down by the improving ZORBA THE GREEK (5) causing it to lose it's chance. CAWBOURNE KIWI (2) and BOTANY WIN (3) which were placed behind these runners at the time were interfered with. When questioned regarding the improved performance of GORILLA ON DRUMS trainer A Joyce explained the dog had made full advantage of the drop back and also being able to gain an interference free run. HARPER'S BIZARRE was sent to the Vet for an examination which showed the dog had suffered no injuries.
Race 8 Carol's T.A.B. Stakes Heat 4 - C1q - 520 Heat 4 HOLIVIA LASS (4) and SPEIGHT'S KID (3) were crowded in the early stages between OPAWA HALLY (2) and OPAWA ROSIE (5) when improved down the track., BLUSHING BELLE (1) shifted outwards on the bend and took HOLIVIA LASS over extra ground which cost that dog it's momentum. OPAWA ROSIE and PUMA PANTS (8) came together on the final bend causing OPAWA ROSIE to falter in its action and lose ground. When questioned regarding the improved run of KNOW JUDGE kennel representative G Turnwald explained the dog had recently been finding trouble in it's races and today jumped better and gained an unobstructed run throughout.
Race 9 Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C1 - 295 WAXEYE'S BIG KID (7) was very slow to begin. BOTANY ZENVO (1) shifted outwards in the run home across the path of CAWBOURNE CHIEF (2) with these dogs coming together and losing some ground. Race 10 Carol's T.A.B. Stakes Heat 5 - C1q - 520 Heat 5 JINJA COOKIE (3) and OPAWA BRO (8) were slow to begin. OPAWA VIV (2) was squeezed between CAWBOURNE MIAMI (4) and AXEL GRINDER (1) in the early stages. MISS SELFIES (6) clipped the heel of TRUE BLUE STYLE (5) when shifting down to the rail racing toward the first bend. This caused TRUE BLUE STYLE to slow considerably allowing KNOW SMIGGLE (7) to improve quickly behind it who then dragged it down. JINJA COOKIE and OPAWA BRO were also inconvenienced in this incident.
Race 11 C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295 TOO MUCH REBEL (1) was slow to begin. BLAZING HOT (5) and SLEEPER AGENT (6) were buffeted and crowded for racing between BOTANY RICHIE (8) and CAWBOURNE CLOCK (4).
