Judicial report: In Race 6 the handler of JACK'S A JEWEL Mr M.McCook was warned of his obligations under Rule 68.20 for the dog to wear approved blinkers and further warned of his duty under Rule 71.10 for the greyhound to wear a muzzle whilst on the racecourse at all times.

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	BOTANY CHRIS was tightened at the jump when racing between INCREASING and CABARITA. CELTIC HOUND shifted outwards in the run to the turn making contact with BOTANY JOHN which in turn inconvenienced INCREASING. On the bend CABARITA struck the back of EBONY STAR resulting in EBONY STAR becoming unbalanced. Shortly afterwards BOTANY JOHN shifted inwards making contact with BOTANY BLAKE which lost momentum. EBONY STAR and CABARITA were also checked in this incident. Approaching the home straight CELTIC HOUND was tightened for room when racing between HOMEBUSH ROCKY and INCREASING. Shortly after turning for home BOTANY BLAKE checked off the heels of INCREASING.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	SAM'S FLYIN NORM, HOMEBUSH CRUDEN and HE'S A JESSIE all made contact over the early stages. ADMIRAL ADAM and TURBO TUNDRA raced wide rounding the bend.
Race 3	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C1 - 390	MILLIE'S BOY shifted out at the start making contact with OPAWA LUCKY. ANOTHER PLANE and STARBURST HANNAH brushed on several occasions in the run to the bend. GLENN IS GOODESY checked off the heels of BUSINESS BOSS when tightened for room on the bend.
Race 4	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C3/4 - 390	Over the early stages SANDI CLAWS was struck in the hind quarters by DEANNE'S MAGIC and was turned sideways. DEANNE'S MAGIC shifted inwards in the run to the bend forcing SANDI CLAWS inwards onto OPULENT. OPAWA COLIN raced wide rounding the bend. PUNCH ON JAIME and WEE TERRA bumped nearing the home straight.
Race 5	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C3/4 - 390	FANTASTIC FOUR shifted inwards at the start making contact with CAPTAIN'S CHOICE. MY MATE SPARROW and IRISH BLUE both made contact over the early stages. On the bend FANTASTIC FOUR made contact with BOTANY SEATON then galloped on it with both these runners losing all momentum.MY MATE SPARROW ran wide on the bend. Co-trainer D Fahey made application to the Stewards pursuant to Rule 80.7 following IRISH BLUE successfully completing a satisfactory race performance for the 10th consecutive occasion to have the endorsement for failing to pursue removed from the race record of IRISH BLUE. Due to IRISH BLUE completing the requirements of the rule the application was granted and the endorsement was removed from IRISH BLUE'S racing record. Following the race the handler of GRUNT RODGERS referred the dog to the veterinarian for assessment with a cut to the right front paw detected and a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 6	SGRC $25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C3 - 390	From the jump CHOKEHOLD shifted ground inwards checking SMASH AMY. Into the turn ANOTHER ANOTHER ran in tightening CHOKEHOLD and JOHN DORY with both these dogs losing ground.
Race 7	RIVERTON STAKES - C3 - 457	Race start time was put back two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. CAWBOURNE MERC jumped awkwardly and lost ground early. In the run to the turn THUMB PRINT TONY ran outwards checking OPAWA STYLE. On the turn BOB'S EYE shifted ground outwards checking BONE NERD.
Race 8	INVERCARGILL STAKES - C4/5 - 457	OPAWA STELLA ran outwards on the bend forcing WHAT I LIKE and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL wider on the track. CAWBOURNE FLOYD was treated following this race by the veterinarian for a tricep strain with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 9	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C5 - 390	STING ME jumped awkwardly at the start losing ground. SOZIN'S COMET and KATUT brushed on several occasions racing into the bend. OSCAR TUIVASA raced wide on the bend. KATUT mad heavy contact with SMASH RUMOUR and OSCAR TUIVASA resulting in KATUT being turned sideways.. OSCAR TUIVASA and SOZIN'S COMET were both checked in this incident.
Race 10	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 457	On the bend OPAWA DOSH and JASPER HAKA bumped with both these runners losing momentum. As a result TODDY'S A FLYER and CAWBOURNE MUSCLE were checked with CAWBOURNE MUSCLE racing wide rounding the bend.
Race 11	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1/2 - 457	OPAWA AMY ran outwards on the bend forcing HOMEBUSH VIOLET wider on the track. ECKLES which was leading ran wide on the bend. OPAWA AMY was treated following this race for a laceration above the right eye with no stand down recommended.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C2 - 390	WANDY FEATHER and SHEZ KEEN shifted inwards after the start with MR JOHNNY being crowded losing momentum. On the bend NO MORE BEERSIES and SHEZ KEEN bumped on several occasions resulting in SHEZ KEEN making contact with THRILLING JAMES with SHEZ KEEN losing its position. HOMEBUSH BRUNO checked off the heels of WANDY FEATHER on the bend resulting in HOMEBUSH BRUNO racing wide on the bend.
