Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: K.Fraser who was in charge of the J.McInerney based North Island team on the day was spoken to advisedly with regards to no catcher being ready at the lure to catch a dog. There were five of the Kennel dogs in race 3 and this resulted in some confusion by Mr Fraser and so no further action was considered necessary on this occasion.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	MEMBERS ONLY and ICAHN began awkwardly and settled back and ICAHN was then checked going to the first turn when MEMBERS ONLY shifted in abruptly. ICAHN then shifted out going into the bend to race very wide over extra ground on the bend and into the home straight and finished in 7th place. HARRIET'S LAW was handy to the lead going into the bend but then began to drift and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. HARRIET'S LAW'S next start will be closely monitored. MEMBERS ONLY was checked losing ground when HARRIET'S LAW drifted back through the field on the bend and he never recovered.
Race 2	JP PRINT PETONE C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH EXPRESS and KAUFMAN SPECIAL were slow to begin losing three lengths. KAUFMAN SPECIAL then shifted in going into the bend and hampered HOMEBUSH EXPRESS which lost two lengths and then raced wide on the bend over extra ground.
Race 3	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 520	BOTANY CHRIS and SHEZA HUM DINGA bumped together at the start and SHEZA HUM DINGA settled at the rear. She then drifted further behind and finished a long last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a tricep muscle injury. ALLEGRO CHASER checked off the back of HOMEBUSH ROCKY entering the back straight and went back onto HOMEBUSH MISHA and they both lost ground.
Race 4	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C1 - C1 - 305	All clear.
Race 5	www.RacingTips.co.nz C1 - C1 - 305	HIGH CALIBRE and BLACK MAGIC ROCK both shifted ground when the start was made and they collided losing momentum and settled back. SHE SAID MAYBE was tightened between ALLEGRO MASTER and OPAWA ROMEO when the start was made and he lost ground but recovered well to finish in 4th place. ALLEGRO MASTER clipped the heels of HAT TRICK CHAOS going into the bend and HAT TRICK CHAOS was inconvenienced and lost a length.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	OTTO BAXTER was tightened between HOMEBUSH SARAH and ZIPPIT SWEETIE going into the bend and was checked losing several lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place. WHEELIE RASCAL shifted out to race very wide on the bend and into the home straight and covered considerable extra ground.
Race 7	PUNTER OF THE YEAR 15TH AUGUST C1 HT1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	SHINY UPSOME and THAT'S KING were slow to begin and settled at the rear. GUCCI RUSH shifted out slightly going into the first bend and SHINY UPSOME was checked and lost two lengths.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 HT 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	BOSTON LASS was observed to shake her head violently for a stride soon after the start and lose momentum for a short distance. However, it could not be established what had caused the bitch to react in that way and it was assumed that the muzzle could have moved and caused the reaction. THRILLING DYLAN shifted in going into the first bend and checked OPAWA LEANNE which went back to the rear. OPAWA LEANNE then raced wide over extra ground on the final bend.
Race 9	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C1 HT 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3	OTEWA BELLA shifted in from the start and caused checks to WORKING WORKING, ME DARCI, RICH LIST and UNO CHARM and they lost ground and settled back. OTEWA BELLA continued to shift in and checked OPAWA JEN going into the first bend. OPAWA JEN was then caught in behind OTEWA BELLA for some distance in the back straight and on the final bend as OTEWA BELLA weakened and they finished at the rear of the field.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 FINAL - C1f - 520	One of the favourites, TRENDY BOY was the slowest to begin losing two lengths. ACAPELLA shifted out going into the first bend and bumped TRENDY BOY who was inconvenienced and forced a little wide losing ground. TRENDY BOY was then held up for some distance on the final bend when avoiding the heels of GIRL PRIDE and he finished in 7th place.
Race 11	CHRISTMAS @ THE RACES 5TH, 12TH 19TH DECEMBER C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH STING shifted in from the start and hampered WORKING MIDNIGHT and MADAM ICE ahd they settled back. HOMEBUSH STING continued to shift in and jostled with GO DOLPHIN POWER for several strides and they eventually checked and HOMEBUSH STING went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	VINNY DOON shifted in from the start and checked SUPREME SHELLEEN which settled back. ANOTHER COVER shifted out going into the bend and checked GO WITH IT and VINNY DOON which were inconvenienced and forced a little wide.
Race 13	TIER 2 - Tier 2 - 305	BELLE CADEUA and AOKAUTERE were slow to begin losing three lengths. BELLE CADEAU recovered well to finish in 3rd place but AOKAUTERE stayed back and finished last.
Race 14	TIER 2 - Tier 2 - 305	MADDIE BRAND and ANOTHER FANTASY bumped when the start was made and ANOTHER FANTASY blundered and settled at the rear. LEMON FISH, MADDIE BRAND and ALL THE COCO jostled together on the bend and they became unbalanced for a short distance and lost ground.
