| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 | BOTANY DAVE (6) dropped to the rear after being tightened in the early stages. WHITEY'S GONE (7) was trapped wide throughout. |
| Race 2 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C4 - 295 | HERSHY PIE (5) and BIG MUDDY (8) were the last pair on settling. MAKER'S LABEL (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. Wider out RED HOT FURY (2) angled outwards with KNOW LIES (4), IMPERSONATOR (6), WELLYWOOD (7) and HERSHY PIE all being forced wider on the track. BIG MUDDY was held up in behind these runners and lost momentum. HERSHY PIE continued to run very wide on the home turn. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295 | OPAWA IDOL (3) was last to jump. Into the bend BOTANY PRANCER (5) and WAIMAK DAVE (6) were both checked as BIGTIME TIP (8) crossed from their outside. WAIMAK DAVE was then badly dragged down and lost his chance. OPAWA IDOL was forced wide at this stage. WAIMAK DAVE was sent to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormalities. |
| Race 4 | C.T.V. Sprint - C4 - 295 | LAUDABLE (1) faltered in the early stages and finished a good distance from the field with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment. OPAWA COLIN (4) settled well back. OPAWA COLIN checked outwards off runners on the bend losing momentum with SHEZA GAMBLE (7) being inconvenienced. |
| Race 5 | Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295 | ANGELIC STAR (5) ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to KNOW ADVANTAGE (4), STING ME (3) and MER DE NOMS (2). Into the bend BAD WEEK (7) checked off KNOW ADVANTAGE and lost ground. |
| Race 6 | Christchurch Casino Distance Feature - C2d - 645 | CHILL OUT RALPH (6) was last to jump. This dog tailed off throughout the race with the vet reporting that the dog had cramped up during the race. Following an incident at the lure GOLDSTAR BELLA (5) was referred to the vet for assessment where she was cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | Murray@Merivale Ray White Ph.021480250 Dash - C5 - 295 | KERAMUS (6) was a clear last at the jump. Into the bend ROQETTE (3) was tightened and lost ground. TERRA ANNIE (5) lost ground soon after when racing tight to the outside of OHOKA COBY (1) with TERRA ANNIE dropping to the rear. This bitch was checked by the vet post race and cleared of any injury. |
| Race 8 | Flair Canterbury Laurels - R/Af - 520 | OPAWA AMY (2) was last to jump. FLIP FLIPPA (1) ran outwards in the early stages pushing OPAWA AMY up the track. Into the first bend OPAWA AMY and CULVIE MAGIC (4) both checked outwards off runners and lost ground. Soon after FLIP FLIPPA was tightened and ran outwards as OPAWA ZARA (8) crossed to the rail in front of her. On the home bend ANDREA (7) and OPAWA ZARA lost ground after racing together in tight quarters. |
| Race 9 | Canterbury Greyhound O.T.B. Stakes - C5 - 520 | JINJARANGO (1) was last to jump. JINJARANGO ran outwards into the first bend checking CAWBOURNE PHILIP (6) who lost ground. OPULENT (5) was tightened into the back straight and lost ground with JINJARANGO being hampered for a few strides as a result. CAWBOURNE PHILIP was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have cramped up with some hip pain also diagnosed. |
| Race 10 | Kolorful Kanvas Garden City Classic - R/Af - 520 | The favourites DREAM COLLECTOR (4) and KNOW DANGER (5) were both a touch slow to jump and then were checked as GRUNT RODGERS (7) ran inwards in the early stages. HARLEM HAKA (2) stumbled for a stride in the initial stages and ran outwards colliding with KNOW CERTAINTY (3) with that runner losing momentum. |
| Race 11 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3 - 520 | THUMB PRINT TONY (2) and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (3) were both tightened in the early stages as OHOKA FRENCHI (4) ran inwards and BOB'S EYE (1) angled outwards. JIBBAJABBA JEWEL ran outwards into the first bend causing INDI'S GRACE (10) to change ground to the inside checking OHOKA FRENCHIE who lost three lengths. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C5 - 295 | POPSTAR ROCKET (4) was last to jump. KETUT (3) was tightened in the early stages SMASH RUMOUR (2) ran outwards and PLAGIARISM (5) ran inwards. KETUT was badly checked into the bend and dropped to the rear. LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE (6) and POPSTAR ROCKET collided into the bend and lost ground. |
