Judicial report: GIN SLING (A Botherway) completed a satisfactory trial as required by Rule 80. This trial was completed by the dog wearing blinkers and these blinkers will be worn in future races. Trainer R Blackburn was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 when she failed to catch OPAWA NATTY in Race 6 as arranged.

Race 1	Super Pets Stakes - C0 - 520	BOTANY CHRIS (6) was last to jump. COLDRUM (4) was badly tightened and turned sideways into the first bend losing considerable ground and badly checking UNRELIABLE ANDY (5) and BOTANY CHRIS who lost their chances. Soon after SHINES BRIGHT (9) angled outwards pushing LADY MUI (1) out on to BOTANY WIN (7) with this pair losing ground. WEARS THE GOLD (8) ran very wide around the first bend and in the middle stages of the race losing ground.
Race 2	Grand National Racing @ Riccarton in August Dash - C3 - 295	MARBELLA (5) and GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE (6) both settled at the rear after being tightened by KNOW WISDOM (7) from their outside and OPAWA BOMB (4) from their inner. BILLY MUGGINS (8) then angled inwards checking KNOW WISDOM for a stride.
Race 3	Flatpack Houses Ph Murray 021480250 Sprint - C0 - 295	OHOKA JOKA (7) was last to jump. SWEET MARYLOU (3) ran inwards in the initial stages pushing BOTANY LIZ (2) down the track as GIGANAIRE (1) ran outwards with this trio coming together. SALLY WEST (6) was checked into the bend and lost ground when contacted by SWEET MARYLOU who also lost momentum at this stage.
Race 4	Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C2 - 295	WHITEY'S GONE (6) was last to jump. ABOGADO (3) ran inwards in the early stages tightening JET TO MARS (2). ABOGADO and TOKEN RAY (4) were tightened into the bend and lost ground. Following the race a brush became dislodged from the lure with the lure driver having no control over the lure. As a result the lure was pushed back by the dogs for approxiately 100 metres and there was a delay in dogs being removed from the track. The brush was replaced and tested before the following race.
Race 5	The Turf Bar Dash - C0 - 295	Due to the problem with the lure in the previous race some handlers were late to retrieve their dogs for this event although the race was still able to start on time. DARCY BRASCO (1) and OHOKA FAITH (8) were both very slow to jump with LAST EXPLORER (2) also settling well back. LA VENTANA (7) ran sharply inwards in the early stages checking HOMEBUSH HAPPY (5) and dictating the line of PUMA PANTS (4) for a few strides. LA VENTANA was then tightened into the bend and lost ground. HOMEBUSH RAMONA (6) was checked on the home turn losing ground. OHOKA FAITH (8) was obliged to race wide on the home turn.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C2 - 520	MR. BARRY (2), HYPERPARADISE (5) and CHLOE'S PRODIGY (7) were the last trio on jumping. AIR FLOW (8) ran inwards in the early stages checking OPAWA BRO (6) and pushing OPAWA NATTY (4) and AXEL GRINDER (3) down the track with KAREN'S MAGIC (1) receiving a check and running outwards. This caused OPAWA NATTY and AXEL GRINDER to settle at the rear.
Race 7	Christchurch Casino Sprint - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH SPOOK (6) was last from the traps. CHERIE CHERIE (4) was checked in the back straight when racing in tight quarters and dropped to the rear. SPIDER GIRL (7) was checked from behind for a stride into the bend and lost momentum.
Race 8	Bill's Bar & Bistro Dash - C2 - 295	CAMRAY (6) was tightened in the back straight losing ground. EDITORIAL (2) checked outwards off runners into the bend pushing NOT SO CUTE (7) and HILTON FRIDAY (8) over extra ground.
Race 9	Yella Mustard At Stud Sprint - C3 - 295	OPAWA IDOL (7) was last to jump. Into the bend FLEUR DU LIYS (1) commenced to weaken with OPAWA IDOL being held up as a result.
Race 10	Hampden Tavern Stakes Final - C2f - 520	WAGON WHEEL (2) and SHEEZA FLOWER (6) were the last pair on jumping. KNOW SECURITY (5) ran outwards in the early stages colliding with KAINO (8) for a stride. SHEEZA FLOWER ran inwards soon after coming together with WAGON WHEEL for a stride. Into the first bend JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (3) lost ground simultaneously to THUMB PRINT TONY (4) improving to his outside and crossing to the rail. JIBBAJABBA JEWEL was then dragged down for a stride and ran outwards checking SHEEZA FLOWER who lost ground. KAINO was also badly inconvenienced in this incident. Into the back straight KAINO shortened stride and pulled up soon after with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. Stewards viewed replays of the early stages of the race in particular where JIBBAJABBA JEWEL lost ground into the first bend. Although it appeared that JIBBAJABBA JEWEL may have eased the video coverage was inconclusive as to whether any interference had occurred. Stewards accordingly were of the opinion that a charge under Rule 80.1.b. could not be sustained and the matter was taken no further.
Race 11	C.T.V. Sprint - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH TIARA (3) was last to jump. TIME SLAYER (7) ran inwards in the back straight tightening GOLDSTAR MARIO (6) and OPAWA HOG (4).
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C3 - 295	SWIP AND TEAR (8) and JED NORTON (9) were the last pair on settling. RITE ROUND RANGE (5) was tightened into the bend and lost ground.
