Weather: OvercastTrack: Dead Despite heavy rain in days before the meeting the track stood up well and was upgraded to Dead prior to Race 2.

| Race 1 | Super Pets Stakes - C1 - 520 | ARCHIE'S COMET (6) was very slow to jump with OPAWA GAVIN (2) and KNOW SOLUTION (9) also settling well back. SHADOW BAXTER (3) angled outwards into the first bend pushing FLYING AMELIA (8) over extra ground. OPAWA GAVIN dropped out to a clear last and was found to be free of injury when assessed by the vet. Co-trainer R Wales advised that OPAWA GAVIN would now be sent for a brief spell. |
| Race 2 | Hurunui Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295 | Prior to this race the track was upgraded to Dead. SLINGO (3) and WINNE WILLOW (4) were the last pair on jumping. KNOW SKILL (8) received a check and lost ground into the bend when racing to the outside of CULVIE BOY (7). Closer in WINNE WILLOW checked off heels and lost a length. |
| Race 3 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C1 - 295 | WAXEYE'S BIG KID (2) and BLAZING HOT (7) were the last pair on jumping. MEMPHIS GIRL (4) angled inwards contacting ECKLES (3) for a stride in the initial stages. HOMEBUSH BARABAS (5) angled outwards in the back straight pushing SLEEPER AGENT (6) and KNOW PITY (8) wider on the track. WAXEYE'S BIG KID shifted up the track into the bend tightening HOMEBUSH BARABAS and SLEEPER AGENT. On the home turn KNOW PITY received a check when racing to the outside of SLEEPER AGENT. |
| Race 4 | Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295 | OPAWA LUCKY (3) and OHOKA STRIKA (5) were the last pair on jumping. CASTLE EDEN (1) was held up for a stride on the turn losing momentum. |
| Race 5 | Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C1 - 295 | GOLDSTAR MAGIC (1) was awkwardly away from the inside trap with LINE HONOURS (3) also settling well back. SMOKING MARLEY (5) angled inwards in the early stages hampering HOMEBUSH NINJA (4) for a stride. HOMEBUSH NINJA was tightened into the bend and lost ground. Authorisation of the payment of dividends was withheld until Stewards established that GOLDSTAR MAGIC was afforded a fair start. |
| Race 6 | The Miller Bar & Cafe Sprint - C1 - 520 | SOUMILLON (3) was last to jump. General tightening into the first bend caused HOMEBUSH GINGER (5) to fall with KNOW JUDGE (7) and OPAWA DOSH (8) being forced very wide as a result. Soon after THRILLING SOUND (1) checked outwards off the hind quarters of GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (2) and brushed with KNOW JUDGE for a stride. HOMEBUSH GINGER was assessed and cleared by the vet post race. |
| Race 7 | Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C1 - 295 | NEDDY SEAGOON (2) was last to jump. CAWBOURNE CLOCK (5) and LOLA BAXTER (7) came together in the back straight. HOME TRUTH (6) and CAWBOURNE CLOCK were tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. RANGITATA RAIDER (4) shifted outwards on the home turn losing momentum. |
| Race 8 | racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520 | SPEIGHT'S KID (6) angled inwards in the early stages dictating the line of OPAWA PEARL (5) down the track. DEE (8) and SHALANA STAR (7) were both forced wide on the first bend. On the home turn SPEIGHT'S KID checked outwards off the back of SCOTSOME POWER (1) losing momentum. SPEIGHT'S KID then proceeded to shift back to the rail checking DEE for a stride. |
| Race 9 | C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295 | QUATTRO (2), KNOW LAUGHING (3) and KERAMUS GIRL (5) were the last trio on jumping. MOP HEAD (6) shifted outwards in the back straight hampering OCHE (7) for a stride. On the home turn HOMEBUSH VICKS (1) angled outwards checking KERAMUS GIRL and MOP HEAD who both lost ground. |
| Race 10 | Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | BOTANY RICHIE (4) and JESSIE SURFS (8) were the last pair from the traps. COME ON DOLLY (3) ran outwards in the early stages checking OPAWA ROCKY (7) and CHLOE'S PRODIGY (6) for a stride. TRUE BLUE STYLE (1) was checked into the first bend and lost ground with COME ON DOLLY being hampered in behind and CHLOE'S PRODIGY being forced wide. |
