Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: CAWBOURNE CRAZY was notified to the Club as a scratching on 20.07.14 and the reason was that the dog had been sold and was to transfer to another kennel. However, the Stewards were provided with confirmation in writing that in fact the sale had become null and void due to one of the Greyhounds in a package deal ( not CAWBOURNE CRAZY )had been injured which resulted in the original deal being cancelled by the purchaser on 21.07.14 and this explanation was accepted.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	WEEPU was very slow to begin losing several lengths but he made up many lengths and finished a close 4th. TAGENT checked off the heels of COOL GYPSY on the bend and lost a length. TAGENT then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have tricep muscle pain.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C0 - C0 - 375	BIGTIME KAZ shifted in from the start and hampered WHEELIE RASCAL and GUMMY GUMPSTA and they lost ground. BIGTIME KAZ was checked going into the bend and went back onto ELITE DOSE and GUMMY GUMPSTA and LUM JUM which were following were also checked with LUM JUM the most affected and he almost fell. A short distance further on, GOODTIME MIKE shifted out forcing BIGTIME KAZ into the line of ELITE DOSE which was checked and fell and was referred to the Vet for assessment. GOODTIME MIKE galloped on the heels of ALAMEIN BLONDE in the home straight and ALAMEIN BLONDE was checked losing two lengths. ELITE DOSE was found to have bruising to the rump and pectoral muscle pain.
Race 3	J P Print Petone Dash C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH TITAN began awkwardly losing two lengths. HILL OF GRACE checked off the heels of DO MORE going into the bend and he lost two lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 4	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish Dash C1 - C1 - 375	WAR ON TERROR and FIVE KAY LEG were slow to begin losing two lengths. KOTUMBA and MANU RAMA bumped together when the start was made and MANU RAMA lost a length. SHINZIGZAG and HOMEBUSH STING jostled together for some distance going into the bend and they lost several lengths and all chance. MANU RAMA was checked going into the bend and lost ground.
Race 5	Manawatu Raceway C1 Stakes - C1 - 457	TEPIRITA ENFORCE shifted in from the start and bumped THRILLING DYLAN which was momentarily unbalanced and lost ground. THRILLING DYLAN raced onto the back of BOSTON MONA going into the bend and checked losing three lengths.
Race 6	Marton dash C2 - C2 - 375	COSMIC CHOICE shifted in from the start and hampered MISSY SLOY which lost ground. COSMIC CHOICE continued to shift in and crowded AMY WINEGLASS which lost two lengths.
Race 7	Cloverlea Dash C3 - C3 - 375	CIDER DRINKA shifted out going to the first corner and checked over the heels of SUPER ZIP ZIP and then forced FLYING BLAKE out wider on the track and they both covered extra ground and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 8	Ashurst Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	GRADUATION began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance and he tailed the field throughout the race. REALLY CLEVER led by a good margin for most of the race but was caught short of the finish line and finished in 2nd place. He was then observed to be limping at the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a hock injury.
Race 9	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 Sprint Final - C4f - 375	UNO ORANGE shifted in from the start and dictated the line of WINNING KNOCKA which was forced onto BARRY'S WAY which checked losing a length. WINNING KNOCKA then continued to shift in and checked TALK IT OVER which was checked losing two lengths. CHEMICALLY FREE raced wide covering extra ground on the bend and finished in last place.
Race 10	Shannon Dash C5 - C5 - 375	KAZILLION shifted in from the start and forced INDIVIDUAL LILY in off line. SHAGA BANGA BANG shhifted in going into the bend and checked EVER SO HOPEFUL which lost a length and he stayed back for the remainder of the race.
Race 11	Foxton Stakes C 1 - C1 - 457	SHINY UPSOME was slow to begin losing three lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 4th place. SNOW DEMON shifted in from the start causing checks to AUCKLAND VENDING and GOLD STONE and they lost ground and settled back.
Race 12	STEVE DAVIS AUCTIONEERS JACKPOT DOG C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	LOCHINVAR ROSSI was slow to begin losing three lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. JACKANATOR and LOCHINVAR MAUI began awkwardly but both recovered quickly to race up handy and finished in 1st and 2nd places.
Race 13	Non Tote Sprint - Tier 2 - 375	OPIE BOSSMAN and GROOVY LEO were slow to begin losing three lengths. VINNIE BAXTER galloped on the back of JOEYS SECRET going into the bend and they both checked losing two lengths.
