Track: Good The track has recently been dressed with a fresh supply of sand and was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Judicial report: Trainer J.T.McInerney was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 68.8 b for failing to produce the registration papers for LEMON FISH an entrant in race 8.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 HT1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	JUST LIKE MOON shifted in abruptly from the start forcing WORKING POPPY in off line. WORKING POPPY then shifted out going to the first corner and checked JUST LIKE MOON which went back to last and she stayed back throughout the remainder of the race to finish in last place. DIRECTOR VANCE shifted out going into the first corner and stayed out wide for the rest of the race, covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. DIRECTOR VANCE was referred to the Vet for assessment at the request of the Trainer and cleared of injury.
Race 2	J P PRINT (PETONE) C0 HT 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	LUM JUM shifted out from the start forcing DAISY to shift across the heels of BLU DESIRE which resulted in DAISY blundering and almost falling. MOCKINGJAY shifted in going to the first corner and forced BIGTIME KAZ across the line of TE MAARI STYLE which was checked losing several lengths. WORKING TWINKLE shifted in going into the first bend and hampered DAISY which was unbalanced and ran wide on the bend. TE MAARI STYLE galloped on the heels of WORKING TWINKLE entering the back straight and they both lost ground with WORKING TWINKLE the most affected and she lost four lengths and never recovered the lost ground.
Race 3	WWW.WANGANUIGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH MISHA was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. VENGA GUAPA and BOTANY WIN jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they were both hampered as a result. VENGA GUAPA then shifted out to race a little wide over extra ground on the bend and into the home straight.
Race 4	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	CAWBOURNE MALKY, HOMEBUSH MINX and DARK WITCH were slow to begin losing three lengths. CAWBOURNE MALKY recovered the best of the three and he finished in 3rd place. TASHA RAMA and ALAMEIN BLONDE shifted in going into the bend and crowded HOMEBUSH TED which went back onto DARK WITCH and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish in the rear group. DARK WITCH made contact with the hind quarters of HOMEBUSH TED on the home turn and they both became unbalanced for a couple of strides.
Race 5	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	BLAZE'S CORPORAL galloped on the back of UNO CHARM going into the bend and UNO CHARM was severely checked and shifted in to collide with WORKING WORKING. As a result, all three dogs lost several lengths and all chance and they finished at the rear.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	MISS SARA began awkwardly losing two lengths and settled back. WORKING PIZZAZ and LEGERDEMAIN bumped together soon after the start and became briefly unbalanced. HOMEBUSH STING shifted in and crowded MADAM ICE going into the bend and MADAM ICE lost two lengths. CRYSTAL GHOST shifted in and crowded LEGERDEMAIN and FREEDOM FLYER going into the bend and they were both inconvenienced for a short distance. MISS SARA bumped with WORKING PIZZAZ which was forced very wide going into the bend and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 7	WANGANUI PUNTER OF THE YEAR C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE LOGAN was slow to begin losing three lengths. COMEGETME and BEHEMOTH bumped together going into the first bend and they both lost ground and stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish in the last two places.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	LEMON FISH was slow to begin losing three lengths.
Race 9	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C1 - C1 - 305	NOMINAL LILY, HILL OF GRACE and VINNIE BAXTER were slow to begin losing three lengths and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. GO DOPHIN POWER shifted out from the rail going into the bend and raced wide on the bend into the home straight covering extra ground.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 520	COME ON MICKEY shifted out from the start and crowded outside runners with TAIKOREA LASS the most affected and she lost ground and settled back. WORKING JEWEL shifted out going into the first corner and forced GUCCI RUSH across the heels of ANOTHER HUNTER and this resulted in GUCCI RUSH clipping the heels and falling. She then regained her feet, finished onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have thigh muscle pain.
Race 11	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES 5TH, 12TH ,19TH DECEMBER C1 - C1 - 305	WAR ON TERROR shifted in going to the first corner and crowded OPALESCENT which lost ground and WAR ON TERROR continued to shift in and CHOCDEE KAREN was checked losing ground. OPALESCENT and CAWBOURNE CRAZY bumped together on the bend and they finished at the rear.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	THRILLING MIGHT and BOOMERANG MAN were slow to begin and settled back. WALDO BAXTER drifted back on the bend and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have wrist and thigh muscle pain. BOOMERANG MAN was also referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have tricep and gracilus muscle pain.
Race 13	Non Tote Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	All clear.
Race 14	Non Tote Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	INKA SUPREME was slow to begin losing three lengths. OPEHU TIGER raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in last place.
