Track: Good Despite the amount of rain the area had received during the day, the track raced well with all equipment functioning throughout.
Scales: Checked and correct.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Stewards spoke with the Wanganui security personnal and reminded them of their obligations with regard to the kenneling procedure.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	VENGA GUAPA and WAIRERE MIKE came together and bumped shortly after jumping resulting in SHE SAID MAYBE and CUTS DEEP which were racing between being tightened. CAWBOURNE MALKY from it's wide draw angled in rounding the bend placing the majority of the field in tight quarters. The worst affected were WAIRERE MIKE and TASHA RAMA which had to check off the heels of CAWBOURNE MALKY and make its run wide.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	ROSA GALLICA was slow into stride. GOMAN NINNIE and EXCESSIVE SPEED angled in when rounding the bend resulting in BOSTON SPIRIT and CAWBOURNE PUMPER which were racing to the inside being checked, losing ground.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C2 - C2 - 375	PSEUDONYM was slow to begin. CAESAR QUEEN shifted out at the start and bumped with INTO THE FRAY which in turn bumped with MISS COOL. Rounding the bend, INTO THE FRAY which raced in restricted room, shifted out onto the heels of MISS COOL which was dragged down, losing all chance. INTO THE FRAY which trailing was also hampered. When well back over the final stages, MISS COOL appeared to shift inward and turn it's head momentarily towards INTO THE FRAY. Stewards viewed the video footage of the incident which proved to be inconclusive therefore took the matter no further however will be monitoring future starts of this greyhound.
Race 4	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1	SHINY UPSOME and LITTLE ARTHUR were slow to begin. MONKEY QUEEN and JINJA PAT jostled for several strides approaching the bend and shortly after JINJA PAT shifted in abruptly checking the momentum of MONKEY QUEEN and contacting the hindquarters of BOSTON MONA.
Race 5	Manawatu Raceway C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 2	UNIQUE TILLY weighed in 2.2 kilograms heavier from it's previous start on 26th May 2014. Trainer K Jackson advised that this increase in weight was intentional. SECONDS GOOD and BOSTON STRIKE came together and bumped on jumping. UNIQUE TILLY was slow into stride. SARAH CAMPBELL raced in restricted room rounding the bend when racing to the inside of THRILLING DYLAN which angled in.
Race 6	Marton Stakes C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 457 Heat 3	TEPIRITA HENDRIX shifted in abruptly at the start making heavy contact with RADICAL RUFUS which lost ground. TEPIRITA HENDRIX which finished some distance at the rear was referred to the Veterinarian and was cleared of injury.
Race 7	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	YA LAUGHIN' was declared a late scratching under Rule 64.6 acting on Veterinary advice after the greyhound may have consumed a product that could be detrimental to its chance when on route to the racecourse. Stewards questioned trainer B Mitchell and accepted his explanation on this occasion however reminded him that greyhounds must be secure in their vehicle when left unattended. No racing incidents.
Race 8	Ashurst Dash C4 - C4 - 375	The start of this race was delayed 1 minute at the request of TAB control. Into the bend, CAWBOURNE RAVE and PLAN YOUR MOVE which were racing in tight quarters with the field were crowded for room and lost ground. SHAGA BANGA BANG was obliged to make its run wide entering the home straight.
Race 9	Cloverlea Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	MAMMY BROWN and JOHNNY RITZA came together and bumped shortly after the start.
Race 10	Shannon Dash C5 - C5 - 375	WINNING KNOCKA was slow into stride. Into the bend, EVER SO HOPEFUL had to check when awkwardly placed on the heels of CAWBOURNE BURN which shifted in. EVER SO HOPEFUL was further hampered when WINNING KNOCKA shifted in.
Race 11	Racing Series Advanced Final C4/5 - NZRSf - 457	KWASANT and VALAIN'S FLYER jostled for several strides rounding the bend. Into the bend, BIGTIME DASHER had to steady when improving up onto the heels of KWASANT. BIGTIME DASHER then had to shift ground wider to obtain a clear run.
Race 12	Foxton Stakes C 2/3 - C2/3 - 457	CIDER DRINKA began awkwardly. Shortly after jumping away HEAR HARE HERE had to shift out off the heels of BACKYARD BULLY which was angling inward. HEAR HARE HERE shifted out approaching the bend momentarily forcing ADDA BOY ZEKE wider.
