SMASH AMEGO (7) which was racing outside these runners lost ground. Rounding the bend OHOKA HOPE (5) steadied outwards away from the heels of ANOTHER RULE (6). ANOTHER RULE was examined by the vet post race after an incident on pulling up at the lure with no significant abnormalities being detected. |
| Race 2 | The Miller Bar & Cafe Sprint - C1 - 295 | TURBO TUNDRA (1) and SLEEPER AGENT (8) were slow to begin. Approaching the bend CELOSIA (2) lost ground when bumped by HOMEBUSH VICKS (5). Rounding the bend and entering the home straight CELOSIA (2) shifted out and carried HOMEBUSH VICKS (5) wider on the track. OPAWA LUCKY (6) was examined by the vet post race after an incident on pulling up at the lure with no significant abnormalities being detected. |

GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (2) jumped awkwardly and was then crowded between WAGON WHEEL (1) and CULVIE SPRITE (3) which shifted in. Rounding the first bend OPAWA HALLY (4) lost ground when crowded to the inside of WANDY ON (6) which shifted inwards away from OPAWA JEAN (10) Rounding the final bend and entering the home straight OPAWA HALLY (4) was held up for clear racing room. On straightening CULVIE SPRITE (3) shifted outwards across the heels of SCOTSOME POWER (7) and lost ground. |
| Race 4 | Johnny Midnight At Stud Dash - C1 - 295 | TIME SLAYER (3) jumped awkwardly and lost ground. RED EYE MAX (2) was a little slow to begin. Rounding the bend TIME SLAYER (3) shifted out and contacted the heels of SMASH THAT (1) which lost ground. TIME SLAYER (3) then shifted back in and made further contact with SMASH THAT (1) which again lost ground. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295 | STARBURST HANNAH (6) weighed in 2kgs less than its previous weigh-in. As the dog had not raced in the preceding 28 days, no action was taken. BOWMAN (2), ECKLES (3) and HOMEBUSH BARABAS (5) were a little slow away. Entering the bend SMOKING MARLEY (7) shifted inwards across the heels of ECKLES (3), lost ground and hampered BLICKLING BRIDGE (1). Shortly after BLICKLING BRIDGE (1) shifted out and bumped HOMEBUSH BARABAS (5). Leaving the bend and entering the home straight BOWMAN (2) shifted out and bumped HOMEBUSH BARABAS (5) on a couple of occasions with both dogs becoming unbalanced and losing ground. |
| Race 6 | Coalgate Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520 | MASSAGE ONLY (8) was a little slow away. Shortly after the start ARCHIE'S COMET (6) shifted in and bumped HOLIVIA LASS (4). Approaching the winning post on the first occasion THRILLING SOUND (7) shifted in and crowded ARCHIE'S COMET (6), HOLIVIA LASS (4) and OPAWA PEARL (3), resulting in OPAWA PEARL (3) becoming unbalanced and ARCHIE'S COMET (6) and HOLIVIA LASS (4) losing ground. |
| Race 7 | David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C1 - 295 | Shortly after the start OLLIE BAXTER (5) and PETRA HAHA (4) were crowded between ARCHIE'S TIME (3) and CHURCHILL CHASER (6) which shifted in. ARCHIE'S TIME (3) became unbalanced shifted outwards and crowded BO'S BUSINESS (7) onto GOLDSTAR BRIDIE (8), with BO'S BUSINESS (7) losing ground. Entering the bend JET EVEN (2) shifted out and bumped MR KEGAN (1). Rounding the bend MR KEGAN (1) lost ground when crossed by CHURCHILL CHASER (6). ARCHIE'S TIME (3) which was racing on its outside lost ground and BO'S BUSINESS (7) which was following was hampered and shifted outwards, resulting in GOLDSTAR BRIDIE (8) losing ground. |
| Race 8 | Barron's Supplies Sprint - C1 - 295 | SMASH ROSIE (1) was slow away. Shortly after the start JUDITH MARY (5) shifted in and bumped KNOW MAYHEM (4). Entering the bend CHOCDEE KAREN (6) lost ground when crowded between HOORAY FOR HAZEL (8) and SMASH ROSIE (1), both of which shifted ground. Rounding the bend and entering the home straight KNOW MAYHEM (4) which improved into tight quarters shifted out and bumped MOP HEAD (2), which in-turn bumped HOORAY FOR HAZEL(8), resulting in MOP HEAD (2) and HOORAY FOR HAZEL (8) becoming unbalanced and losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | OPAWA GAVIN (7) and RUNAWAY TAXI (10) were a little slow away. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion STICH UP (3) lost ground when crossed by OPAWA AMY (4). STICH UP (3) continued to lose ground and bumped OPAWA KENDAL (5), with the trailing FLIP FLIPPA (6) being hampered. |
