Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	CAWBOURNE MALKY began awkwardly and settled back. He then checked over the heels of POWERHOUSE LEE going into the bend and shifted out to race a little wide into the bend. HO.MEBUSH MAGIC was hampered and lost momentum when CAWBOURNE MALKY shifted out onto her running line
Race 2	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	ELLO ELLE, AMY WINEGLASS, ROSA GALLICA and BOSTON MONA came together and bumped for a short distance after the start and all four lost momentum. FANTA'S FEVER shifted in going into the bend and checked ELLO ELLE which went back causing a check to ROSA GALLICA. ELLO ELLE lost several lengths in the incident and appeared to be in some discomfort in her galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have minor lacerations and abrasions.
Race 3	Manawatu Raceway C0 Final - C0f - 457	The favourite JESSIE SURFS was the slowest to begin and along with HE'S A JESSIE, was checked going into the bend when runners drawn wider, shifted in and they both lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in the last two places. JESSIE SURFS appeared to be awkward in its action after the check and was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution and cleared of injury.
Race 4	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	LEGAL AID, which had not started for nearly six months, was presented 2.3 kilograms up in weight from its last start and this was an intentional increase. LEGAL AID, RAVEON and CRYSTAL GHOST were slow to begin losing two lengths. HOMEBUSH STING shifted in going into the bend and crowded and caused jostling to ANOTHER HUNTER and EMPTY BANK. HOMEBUSH STING became unbalanced in the incident and went back onto RAVEON with both dogs losing ground and they finished at the rear. LEGAL AID raced very wide on the bend into the home straight covering extra ground but finished very well for 4th placing.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 457	CURIOUS LIFE was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. KING'S SELECTION and BOSTON STRIKE shifted in going to the first corner and took the line of RADICAL RUFUS which was checked and shifted out to make heavy contact with SPEEDY FEET, became unbalanced and lost several lengths and all chance and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 6	Marton Dash C2 - C2 - 375	BIGTIME CHIP shifted in going into the bend and crowded FLYING BLAKE which in turn was forced in onto COSMIC CHOICE. COSMIC CHOICE was then awkwardly positioned between runners and was shuffled back which resulted in checks to FIRE BOY BAXTER and I'M A CATCH and all three runners lost ground.
Race 7	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2 - C2 - 457	MAGIC ARROW, which was having its first start in New Zealand, weighed 1.9 kilograms down in weight from its last start in Australia and this was an intentional decrease in weight. INTO THE FRAY shifted in going into the bend, bumped with MARIAH and then shifted out forcing DIPSY LALA to also race wide into the bend. A short distance further on, MAGIC ARROW, ALL ABOUT AMY and MARIAH jostled together and all three became ubbalanced and lost momentum.
Race 8	Ashhurst Dash C3 - C3 - 375	NINJAGO checked off the heels of YA LAUGHIN on the bend and they both lost ground. A short distance further on, CAWBOURNE ONYX shifted out and caused a check to itself and YA LAUGHIN with both losing ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 9	Cloverlea Dash C4 - C4 - 375	PLAN YOUR MOVE was racing handy enough and adjacent to the rail going to the first corner but was tightened and checked back to the rear when the main bunch of runners shifted in. PLAN YOUR MOVE then shifted out to race wide on the bend and was forced very wide into the straight when WEE DIGER shifted out forcing ZIPPING TAY and CAESAR CHANCE out onto the line of PLAN YOUR MOVE.
Race 10	Shannon Dash C5 - C5 - 375	VIVA VANE and DEATHSTAR were slow to begin and they settled back and never recovered the lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 11	Feilding Stakes C5 - C5 - 457	GORDON BALE, REALLY CLEVER and GRADUATION jostled together for some distance in the back straight and all three lost momentum. After the jostling, GORDON BALE shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to BIGTIME JET and HELLO ELLO and they lost ground with HELLO ELLO the most affected and she lost four lengths.
Race 12	Foxton Stakes C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	FLYING MOE and ROCKY BAXTER dwelt when the start was made and they settled at the rear and stayed there throughout the race.
