| Race 1 | ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305 | FREEDOM FLYER shifted in abruptly after starting from box 8 and caused checks to SCARILICIOUS, JACKANATOR, MONKEY QUEEN and SHEZA FOOLING and they all lost ground and settled in the rear group. JACKANATOR recovered the best of the affected runners and she made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. SHEZA FOOLING and MONKEY QUEEN raced wide on the bend and covered extra ground. |
| Race 2 | J P PRINT C1 - C1 - 305 | TEPIRITA ENFORCE was very slow to begin losing four lengths. COSMIC RASCAL shifted out going to the first corner and hampered WORKING WORKING and a short distance further on, shifted onto the line of MACGYVER RAMA which was also hampered. TEPIRITA ENFORCE checked off the heels of COSMIC RASCAL going into the bend and shifted out and bumped with MCGYVER RAMA. |
| Race 3 | WANGANUIGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ C2 - C2 - 305 | UNO FLASH, GOODTIME KATE and OPAWA GIFT bumped together soon after the start and they lost momentum. COSMIC CHOICE was slow to begin losing two lengths. He then shifted out going into the bend and forced OPAWA GIFT and KINETIC NEO wide over extra ground. |
| Race 4 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305 | MEGA UPLOAD shifted out going into the bend and hampered BIGTIME CHIP and MISSY SLOY and they were forced over extra ground and all three stayed back to finish at the rear. |
| Race 5 | WANGANUI SECURITY C3 Ht1 - C3q - 305 Heat 1 | SHE'S TOP NOTCH was a little slow to begin and she was then checked going to the first corner when KINETIC RIO shifted in to the rail. OPAWA SACHA shifted in from the start and inconvenienced HOMEBUSH COCO, COUGAR ALERT and REBEL KHAN with COUGAR ALERT and HOMEBUSH COCO the most affected and they settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. |
| Race 6 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 Ht2 - C3q - 305 Heat 2 | ENGLISH HONEY was slow to begin and settled back and she then jostled with ANOTHER COLT for a short distance and they settled at the rear. ALAMEIN JAH and STEVIE'S MAGIC also jostled together and became unbalanced going to the first corner. ALAMEIN JAH recovered the best of the two and he finished in 2nd place but was then knocked off his feet and fell heavily at the lure, was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C2 - C2 - 520 | CAWBOURNE TIP which had been stood down for 3 days at Manawatu on 16.06.14 with suturing to a toe wound, was thoroughly examined and cleared fit to start in this event. CAWBOURNE TIP shifted in going into the first bend and hampered RUTH'S RAIDER which was unbalanced and lost three lengths but she recovered well to make up ground for 3rd placing. QUEEN ROWDY drifted off the back of the field going into the back straight and finished the race several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to abrasions between the toes on a hind foot. |
| Race 8 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C4 - C4 - 305 | OPAWA JAY and PLAN YOUR MOVE were slow to begin losing two lengths. ANOTHER DRINK shifted in going into the first corner and caused checks to REBEL CITY and HOMEBUSH SARGE and they were briefly unbalanced. BLUE SENIOR and OPAWA JAY which were racing in behind were severely checked losing several lengths and all chance. OPAWA JAY appeared to be awkward in its galloping action following the incident was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a flexor tendon injury. |
| Race 9 | HARRISON HIRE MASTER C5 - C5 - 305 | OPAWA WALLY and ROTOVEGAS JUNIOR were slow to begin and settled back. DOLLY PEG shifted in from the start and forced EXPONENTIAL LILY in onto RED MOOVA HOOVA and they jostled for a short distance. RED MOOVA HOOVA became awkwardly placed in restricted room going into the bend and lost ground. OPAWA WALLY checked over the heels of ROTOVEGAS JUNIOR entering the home straight and shifted out abruptly onto RED MOOVA HOOVA which was checked. |
| Race 10 | KEENAN CONCRETE C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | General tightening going into the first turn resulted in crowding to several runners with the most affected being EL JETTA which was shuffled back through the field to be two lengths last and he stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 11 | WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ C5 - C5 - 305 | OPAWA SISTER was slow to begin losing two lengths abnd she tailed the field throughout the race. MIGHTY EXPLOSIVE, GLENADDIS and ARMED FORCES came together soon after the start and they jostled together for some distance and as a result they lost ground. Two of the better supported runners, MIGHTY EXPLOSIVE and ARMED FORCES in particular were never able to make up the lost ground and finished near the rear. |
| Race 12 | BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C5 - C5 - 305 | WATERBUG and EMBEE DEE jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they eventually both lost ground with WATERBUG the most affected and she lost several lengths and all chance. |
